Fanart for trashjoystudios (instagram) Snake with a Gun resin bootleg toy! I love the indie resin bootleg toy scene, there's some REAL good stuff out there. It's one of those interesting subcultures that you sort of stumble into. I'd love to get into trading, since I don't have the energy or time to do any resin stuff myself (I have enough unfinished projects! No more!), but I'm kind of flaky when it comes to mail (see the care packages I still need to send!).

These are based off the two colorways of Snake I own, a classic sort of muted brown army man one and a custom radioactive one!

I feel like the odds of bumping into anyone on tumblr who is super active in this scene is low, but if you are a collector and have a Snake with a Gun you're bored of, I will trade you!! I want more. There's some great colorways out there that I'd love.

It's been a while since I shared any of my own work, so I wanted to introduce my second resin toy, Emitt the Golem. Emitt is inspired by the mythical Golem of Prague, who was crafted by Rabbi Judah Loew to protect his people from being persecuted for their beliefs.

Even in today's modern world, there are people who view others as "lesser" because of their beliefs or values. Hate does not help us grow though; it divides us, distracts us, and leaves wounds that may never heal, even across generations. Emitt is a reminder to choose kindness instead.

You can pick up an Emitt for yourself in my Etsy store. I do small runs of Emitt in the signature "Red Clay" colorway and some occasional one-offs, and am also open to custom colors - just reach out and I'll see what we can do!

Adopt Greg the Ghost!

This week’s new shop item is something that has been in the works for quite some time:

Greg the Ghost, as a Pencil Pal, and a Stamp Assistant!

I have been wanting to create collectable figurines and toys in some sort since middle school, and have actively been working on Greg’s concept and production methods for over a year. Like everything in my shop, it was an opportunity to learn new ways to do new things with the best materials possible, all from my little studio (sooooo much trial and error). The fact that these little guys are a real still hasn’t hit me yet.

So, let me introduce you!

Greg the Ghost is just a spoopy little guy. He doesn’t like to “spook,” preferring to help instead.

Greg is super excited to be able to help as both a Pencil Pal and Stamp Assistant, and just in time for Halloween!

Pencil Pals Collectable figures that rest on top of your pencil to join you as you write or draw. The top portion comes off, so you can mix and match various pencil pals with various bases (and yes, additional pencil pals and bases are coming soon, along with an adaptor to fit larger pencils!)

Stamp Assistant Collectable figures that rest on top of your stamp and join you as you journal or scrapbook. Place the stamp assistant on a stamp, and it goes where the stamp goes, they also make it easier for you to stamp. Stamp Assistants work with all of my stamps, and I am working on a conversion kit (so that all stamps, regardless of supplier, can work with my stamp assistants) for release early next year!

All Pencil Pals and Stamp Assistants come with an Adoption Certificate, a Care/Use Guide, a Collectable Story Card, and Greg glows in the dark! Each Greg is carefully handmade and is looking for his forever home!

Both versions of these are now live in the shop, with the Stamp Assistant as a Preorder for now as I wait for additional supplies to arrive. I’ll be delivering them on Oct 1st or sooner. Pencil Pals are available now!

I still cannot believe these guys are real.

Chini Chara Neko World- Five Points Fest 2023 exclusive edition. Each stands about 3.75” tall and has two points of articulation. I made a small run of each variant, debuting this mold at the convention. This is my first realease that is completely an original sculpt, and I hope its the first of many!

Aquí tenéis algunos detalles de mi pieza para la @arttoycon.es (mil gracias 😘) , "The toy lover", a algunos os sonará, ya que es un diseño que hice hace ya algún tiempo para los amigos de @stormyvault, pero tristemente en aquella ocasión mi pieza sufrió graves daños en el envío y finalmente no pudo ver la luz...

Esta vez mi plan es crear 5 piezas únicas con diferentes esquemas de colores (y con una resina mucho mas resistente 😬) y esta ha sido la primera!.

Confío en poder enseñaros el resto pronto! Hasta entonces... A trabajar!.

Here you have some details of my piece for @arttoycon.es (thank you so much 😘) , "The toy lover", probably it's familiar to some of you, because it is a design I did some time ago for the friends of @stormyvault, but sadly on that occasion my piece suffered serious shipping damage and it finally could'nt see the light....

This time my plan is to create 5 unique pieces with different color schemes (and with a much tougher resin 😬) and this has been the first one!.
