Can you please do a resin comparison of Myou white skin tone with Doll Family-h and other bjd companies that have jointed hands?
Companies that have yellow-toned white skins are good matches:
Angel of Dream, Chicabonita, Doll Leaves, Doll Love, Dollzone/Doll Chateau (sister companies), Mystic Kids, Souldoll, Sugarble, Xagadoll/Asleep Eidolon; Magic Time and Fairyland too, but their MSD dolls are smaller so parts may not be compatible.
Jointed hand candidates (handidates?):
Asleep Eidolon/Xaga Doll white 2021 looks fairly close to 2019 Myou white, and they offer 1/3-sized jointed hands.
Doll Leaves white is described as a good match in a comment from 2022, but the included photo link was broken unfortunately. I’ll see if I can ask the commenter to repost it!
Doll Legend jointed hands might have worked but the company seems to be defunct. ;-;
Doll Chateau’s 1/4 jointed hands fit nicely on Myou Doll’s 1/4 ver. 3 girl body. (A bit small on ver. 1 but still functional.)

IOS, Luts, Angell Studio, Loong Soul, Doll Legend, Akagi Doll, Migidoll, Dikadoll, Angel Fantasy, Doll Family-H, Doll Family-A
*Doll Family-H white matched in 2016/2017 but is now lighter and has a pinker undertone.

Dikadoll pure white (not sure on regular white), Resinsoul, Dream Valley

Myou WS matches (modern) Dollzone WS perfectly. The lighting isn't great (sorry) but here's Dollzone WS (left) and Myou WS (right). They're both a sort of creamy tone.
It is NOT a match to Dream Valley white. I still have Dream Valley white and it is very stark paper white.

Can I just take a moment...
We all have our gripes about doll collecting, but there's one request that consistently drives me a little batty in the BJD collector world: resin matching. People will ask, "Can you please take a photo of a doll in this resin color and see if it matches that doll in that resin color?"
Hrrrnnnnnggggghhhh.
BJDs are made of 2-part epoxy resin. You buy two jugs of resin that you have to mix together and pour into a mold. A chemical reaction happens (rapidly), and the resin solidifies in the mold. You let it sit in there for a bit until it hardens, and then you pull it out.
This is what the two jugs of resin look like when you buy them:
They're clear. No color.
Every single ball-jointed resin doll I own was made with clear resin that the artist had to add color to. Now, companies generally have a "recipe" of color that they add to resin, so that resin colors are fairly consistent across a line of dolls. And sure, some 3D printer resins come pre-tinted.
But guys. Folks. People. You're never going to get a perfect, planned resin match. When you do, it's basically an accident. A happy coincidence. It's highly unlikely that resin will match when you buy parts from the same doll company at different times. Resin is a finicky little bastard. It cures differently depending upon the day, the humidity, whether it's in a good mood... Also, resin changes color with time and exposure to stuff like air and sunlight. So a doll you've owned for a year is going to be slightly different from the same doll made by the same company in the same color today.
When I see people painstakingly take photos of different resins from different companies, carefully labeling each head cap, I think, "Dude. Bust out some acrylics and just paint it."
Cuz you're never going to get that perfect match, except totally by accident.
And that's why I don't care if my resin matches. I know I'll either dye or paint the doll to match.

Finally added resin claws to my big paws! (Small Bear Claws in Shiny Blue-Green from FuzzButtFursuits)
Also featuring some quick sleeves I cobbled together out of some leftover cotton. Think fursuit sleeves, but fake long-sleeved shirt instead! Gives the illusion I'm wearing layers and keeps me cooler with full coverage, so it'll be very convenient for suiting during the summer.

No one could say if Doll Family H tan matches Unoa Paradise tan so I bought some feet and they aren't 100% but the difference is pretty small. (Artificial and sunset sunlight)
My other dfh dolls don't seem as glossy as these feet. The unoa resin is way more matte

But holy shit the NRStudio head is so spot on. Like, they did such a good job.
So now I'm like, uh, two Astarions? Maybe big one for lots of hugs? lol

is it just me or... are the reputation rewards for fontaine underwhelming as hell?
#⇢₊˚⊹ 🩷∥ruby∥yo，ide yo !!#like i guess the crystalfy trap might be useful...?#i don't usually have below 300 crystalflies in my inventory so i don't need it#i just don't condense my resin that much cuz i'm either doing bosses or leylines most of the time#people who are constantly out of crystalflies might find some use out of it tho#but it might end up like the sumeru ingredient speeder-upper thing and be completely impractical to use over just catching them manually#unless you're too lazy to collect them. which is fair enough#i doubt it's actually gonna be that convenient unless it works like the parametric transformer tho#the wind generator looks interesting. but not enough of a draw for me to divert my bounties to fontaine to rush to get it#i hope it essentially works like a mid-air dash forward. or like a wind ring. that might give me incentive to use it over the feather fan#even the wind glider is kinda...#this is just my personal opinion and mine alone，but the asymmetrical color scheme is not doing it for me#my main hope was to get a different blue glider that isn't the wings of companionship so qiu doesn't have to keep wearing the latter#but i don't like how it looks on him at all. the light blue side just clashes too much#and the only characters i have that kinda look good with it are barbara and layla#except for the fact that the wings of companionship match layla's aesthetic and color scheme perfectly#and the dragonspine wings just match barbara way better#it'll basically only look good on focalors#and even then it doesn't look like it'll match her perfectly since the asymmetry on her outfit doesn't look as pronounced#but i guess theme-wise it fits her perfectly so that's probably enough#i'm gonna put it on chongyun for a while whenever i get it just for the hell of it#but yeah. i'm not a big fan of this glider#i'll be not-so-patiently waiting for natlan's glider instead#i hope to god it's true fiery bright red and there's no asymmetrical or stripey bullshit a la kfc glider#i will forever hope for a pink event glider tho#(event glider cuz i doubt they could possibly justify being able to get a pink glider in-story)#(although if they do i hope they do as soon as possible)#(yk what. i wish the reward for maxing out the sacred sakura was a pink windglider and not the teapot realm)#(and they just made the teapot realm purchaseable after the archon quest like the sumeru one)#(cuz that's the literal only place that would've made sense to have it permanently in-game)

All cleaned and partially sanded... My back hurts SO bad lol

And closeup + his original faceup (and well.. with a wig and eyes lmao)
His back ended up being MUCH more stained than I expected (which when you see the before, it being covered with paint makes sense that it stained) and his arms are pretty unevenly yellowed so I am excited to get to working on painting him when he's all taken care of :) I'm planning on making the little clay bits as more of a decorative bit to make it look like the front of his body is being held on by them. It needs a LOT more sanding to get there tho but I'm excited at the progress made today :)
