just finished rewatching reservoir dogs. now i know everyone will disagree me, and its a tarantino movie (but they left it open purposely + the gunshots were all the same volume) but Freddy survived TO ME. either Larry tilted the gun so not to hit Freddy but to make the cops react and shoot (cause he trusted freddy completely and thought at least theyll do time together/survive but now everythings fucked so lets just get it over with but he cant make himself kill freddy either), or the cops gave a warning shot first (also unlikely but idgaf)
but majorly i want Freddy to survive cause he was already crazy with guilt before but now hes also killed Larry and Larry didnt kill him. and he watched the guys he thought were the good ones do it. he killed a civilian for nothing. and he's gonna have to live with that
✨EP 23 OUT NOW ✨ Maria is joined by Aly and Rachel, the brilliant hosts of the @outinthewildspodcast, for a wide-ranging discussion on Indigenous representation, ownership, and authenticity on both The Wilds and Reservation Dogs. At their core, both these shows are about solidarity and the power of community. We discuss everything from Indigenous ways of storytelling and authentic representations of rez life to the Landback movement and how land acknowledgments have been co-opted in many “progressive” settings. Placing these revolutionary shows within the largely non-Indigenous TV landscape, we analyze and celebrate all the spirit guides, subtle cultural references, and sassy quips about colonizers. More please!
Hosted by Maria DiPasquale, produced by Jeff McHale, with art by Charles O’Leary, Episode 23 of Leftist Teen Drama is now streaming wherever you get your podcasts.
