Your nose scrunched up as you clicked through some of their profiles, most of them coming up as married with the description of 'wanting discreet fun.'
You were about to give up on your search for the night when you stumbled upon a profile of a man in his mid-thirties, one of the youngest men you'd seen in the fifteen minutes of scrolling. Miguel O'Hara. His profile revealed to you that he was divorced, his description being that he sought out for someone to spend time with in exchange for monitory compensation, a clear difference between his profile and the others you'd encountered.
To say that he was an easy swipe right was an understatement, your finger almost snapping off from how fast you clicked on your mouse. Not only was his persona more endearing than those you'd encountered, he was one of the more handsome men you'd had seen. You didn't think too much of the swipe, your eyes widening in surprise as you got the notification that it was a match.
You spent about a week talking to him about what could be expected out of the arrangement before he suggested that he take you out to a dinner. His reasoning behind the spontaneous date was that he simply wanted to see how the two connected outside of text, get a feeling of what type of person you were. As you waited for the day of the dinner to arrive, you couldn't help but be filled with anticipation and excitement.
You'd even gotten up early the day of to plan out your outfit ahead of time so you wouldn't have to do so after class, choosing to wear a pair of jeans that weren't too distressed with a black top. Scenarios of how the dinner would go riddled your mind throughout the day, your focus of what was on the board diminishing with every second that you were in the classroom.
You showed up to dinner half an hour late due to the subway not arriving at its designated time, easily finding Miguel through the crowds of people. not only was the tallest one in the room, he was also the one with the nicest attire in the place. "Sorry I'm late, the subway got delayed," you started off, wondering just how long he'd been here waiting for you to show up. "While I do appreciate punctuality, I understand," he responded, handing you one of the menus from the table. You picked up the menu, noticing that none of the prices were on there but rather just what the meals had to offer.
A waiter came by a couple minutes later to take the orders, Miguel ordering steak with mashed potatoes and a red wine. "I'll just get the grilled chicken with water, please," you told the waiter, handing them your menu along with Miguel’s. They nodded and stepped away, the only sound at the table being the classical music playing throughout the restaurant.
You looked down at the plate of food dumbfounded, wondering how exactly it was that rich people got full. You were half expecting for the waiter to announce that it was a prank, to come back and fill up your plate. Upon realizing that the two bites that were placed on your plate was the whole meal, you reluctantly took a bite out of it.
"So, the terms of our arrangement would be pretty simple. I'd provide you with the funds that you deem appropriate and you would provide me with your company. I'm not expecting any kind of sexual favors in return, but I wouldn't be opposed to it if you had the desire to," he told you, his tone casual as if he were just having another business arrangement. You almost choked on the water you were sipping, setting the glass back down.
"So what you're saying is that you don't want to have sex with me unless you and I wanted to," you repeated back to him, raising a brow as he nodded. "Do you mind if I ask why?" The question came out of you without much thought, his brows furrowing in exchange. You thought he wasn't going to respond to the question as his silence turned deafening, the room seeming to rise in temperature with every second that passed. "I’m looking for this certain kind of arrangement because I know what to expect from this. My daughter passed away a couple months ago and it helped me to realize that no amount of money that I have will keep anyone next to me," he responded after a couple of minutes, his words coming out with a certain kind of precision as he spoke.
You stayed quiet as you let the words stick in your brain, wondering just what exactly it was that made this man so closed off to the world. You wanted to ask him more questions, but you figured that they weren't appropriate for the setting or the arrangement that was being discussed.
"I'd start off with giving you a short allowance for now, $500 a week just to get you started. It'll increase the more that we spend time together, a little bonus if we have to show up to an event together. "Like I said, there wasn't anything wrong with the food. the portions were just a bit.. questionable," you responded, your voice dropping towards the end like you were admitting something taboo. You were expecting for him to protest after what he'd just paid, not the small chuckle that escaped from his lips.
Miguel took you to a burger joint in Brooklyn, stating that 'no other place could do it quite the same.' You'd ordered yourself a burger and fries along with a milkshake, Miguel getting the same thing as you. "Thank you for saying something, the whole meal felt like an appetizer," he told you as the two of you sat down with your trays, the juiciness from the burger looking more inviting than the piece of chicken you'd eaten earlier.

i think i like writing most about robert fischer:) ik it probably doesnt translate considering ive written most for jonathan crane but robert fischer is just such a little sweetheart to me,,, and can go both ways in being a sassy dom douchebag or being a sobbing daddy issues sub darling LOLLL i just think he has a lot of duality to delve into and develop (which ive definitely not done so far☠️) and it helps that his characterization in inception was also very surface level— i have a lot of wiggle room y’know??
i think im most proud of “dine & dash” which im aware probably no-one has read, but getting chris o’doyle’s sassy little dialogue down was like taming a wild beast,,, otherwise, considering my more well-known work, i rly liked writing “honey, i’m home”. i go crazy for the unhinged readers (if u couldnt alrdy tell lmaooo) and seeing jackson get messed with like that was a real treat.
i seriously just recommend anything by @mypoisonedvine,,, they’re literally genius & are the reason i started writing for cillian:)!! other mentions include kitten fics by @pictureinme and, a personal fave, @floralcyanidee’s jackson rippner mile-high club fic!!! these writers are all incredibly talented and im just blown away at their work every single time🫶
my thirst is such a big motivator for writing LMAO😭i wrote “guinea pig” ‘cus i wanted to absolute wreckkk jonathan crane and have him be a sub, and i got a 6.8k words long fic out of said thirst! music & book quotes motivate me a lot too— i spend sm time digging thru my pinterest for a good quote for the beginning of my fic its actually insane☠️and yes,,, im ashamed to say ive abandoned fics numerous times,,, but thats because they were series’, not oneshots. i get bored of series’ pretty quickly, ‘cause i feel kind of trapped by the initial dynamic or mood set in the first chapter. with oneshots, its like writing one long chapter of this trope and this kink or whatever and then its done, and i dont have to exhaust myself going back to tropes or kinks or storylines ive already done.
i think reading made me a better writer. expanding my vocabulary through the words of others was a biggie; seeing something be described in a certain way in someones story had me thinking of out-of-the-box ways to describe another thing (that doesn’t make much sense but lets pretend it does😭). i have many, many doubts about my work, like constantly, but i usually just suck it up. i sound like an attention whore but seeing the reposts & comments & tags on my other work reminds me people like what i’ve written before and certain people will enjoy what ive written now, so i should just finish my work for them. i also take like 100 years rereading my stuff until i think its good enough lmao,,,
ive kinda watched his whole roster of films (atleast ones i could actually find on the internet and not gone missing as a lost piece of media lmao) and i could probably write for any cillian character given i had a good idea and proper motivation. writing for certain characters is definitely harder for me to do though, so its likely i wont write for them/will take a long time to do so. an example is lenny miller— anna was such an insufferable movie to me, and lenny’s screentime wasn’t long at all, atleast not long enough for me to properly grasp his character. he just felt like a horny hardass fbi goof the whole time i could not take his 5’7 ass seriously😭cillian is smexy as hell in anna tho, so we’ll see😈another would probably be robert capa from sunshine,,, hes beautiful and deliciously musty in that but the whole spaceship setting kinda freaks me out (considering i know 0 zilch nada about space, spaceships, or anything of the sort, so it’d definitely be inaccurate). an au with him id definitely do, though! (with that hair of his my mind is already forming a 90s band au, guitarist!capa x singer!reader story…)

sula - toni morrison. favorite book of all time I have multiple copies of it and it's the absolute best story of female friendship imo and as a midwestern black girl I really resonated in ways I don't always resonate with books about southern black culture. sula mae peace was a low down diabolical woman and I love her
jesus saves - darcey steinke. this book is pretty graphic esp the scenes with sandy and her kidnapper. the dual povs are great and its one of the bleakest novels ive ever had the pleasure of reading. I was sat in shock when I finished
little birds - anais nin. my fav erotica book I like this more than delta of venus and there's actually a picture I took of the book thats popular on Pinterest and goes viral on tumblr/twitter all the time LOL. a major comfort read during one of the worst years of my life.
the moth diaries - rachel klein. read it last year it was such a good introspective work that honestly the vampirism felt both secondary and integral to the narrators plight like you can see her sanity slip over time and yet tou sit there wishing either shes right so she can have at least one thing to grasp onto or wishing she was wrong so she can feel some peace.
chouette - claire oshetsky. MY FAVVVVV BOOK ON MOTHERHOOD its magical realism and you can read it as an allegory or read it as literal which is what I prefer to do. a quick read but its so touching in its strangeness.
lolita - vladimir nabokov. technically a top 5 but its a book thats so integral to me that I can't properly rank. the way he played with words and the depth of the book is just unparalleled. I reread it once a year and although I love the 97 film it cannot come close to the book. its filled with such lush visuals and such sensuous language I get into discourse about it all the time because people either hate it due to misconceptions or they love it but feel guilty so they have to virtue signal in the most obnoxious ways. im a separate third thing.
the discomfort of evening - marieke lucas rijneveld. this is what lapvona wanted to be…it was dark and uncomfortable at many times and you feel just as isolated as the characters in some ways it feels like if the vvitch happened in more modern times with how the family dealt with grief and death in a small religious community it was kinda gross at times tol.
earthlings - sayaka murata. another very gross book and I would go into this carefully bc its very explicitly about csa. the main character was a wonderful depiction of how parental neglect, sexual abuse and trauma can leave a person stunted and how they can end up in very unsavory circumstances. the ending was wild.
nausea - jean paul sarte. my first "philosophical" book and it really....hit kinda close but it became a comforting read. I was coming off my Hell Year and I was still dealing with a lot of depression and just emptiness and that book encapsulated a lot of my emotions.
the nun - denis diderot. one of the funniest books ever im not playing. its about a young girl who becomes a nun because shes a child of adultery in the 18th century and her life just gets worse and worse as random shit keeps happening to her. it has homoeroticism and blasphemy and was conceived as a prank where diderot wrote letters as the MC. once you get into the language its such a crazy ride.
pope is a satoshi kon stan down so he feels very strongly about his work being ripped off by aronofsky!!! he argues about black swan being a lesser film all the time but I would say paprika is his fav

THOUGH! i am fairly confused about when ty lee said that some parties wouldnt be pleased if they found out what she was doing, like i had assumed she was talking about zuko but now im thinking not? unless im missing something, because im pretty sure he knew about the memories, unless its azula shes talking about? working with her brother? or even taking her memories by order of azula without zuko knowing? but i doubt that one idk
ur fic is literally written better than most books ive read and its incredible, the foreshadowing and the details are so impressive to read
AHAHAH there are so many hints and references in the earlier chapters about reader’s identity that don’t really make sense until you know it!! i love adding things in like that because i want my stories to have rereadability?? like i want people to make new connections and interact w the story differently reading it the second time vs the first. i think it’s especially crucial to have things like that with an arc that’s built around a mystery (the true identity of “ursa”) — if you already know who she is, then it could very easily be a boring/frustrating arc to reread without those new things you can pick up on!!
ty lee was talking abt azula!! mostly because azula would be upset to hear that her ally was working w zuko…although ty lee doesn’t know who mc is, she’s not stupid and probably picked up on the fact that zuko’s hiding smth. she then (rightfully) assumed that if they were caught by azula they’d all be in trouble. it was meant to be misleading as it seems at first it would be zuko who’d be upset to know that ty lee is blocking reader’s chi, esp because ty lee is generally aligned with azula, so when it’s revealed that zuko is the one who ordered the memory blocking, it adds another layer of complication (which will be expanded upon once zuko and reader have their not-so-happy reunion)
but OMG thank you so much!! it means sm to me that you think so <3 i never thought that this would end up being such an involved fic (i originally estimated it to end up at about 60-70k words max) but it’s been so much fun to write and i really appreciate seeing how many people love it!!

SCREAMINGGG you're right Taehyung did noting wrong!!!! I also LOVE yandere fics, I've always wanted to write one (maybe in the future, after Trouvaille or when I have more time) BUT Trouvaille has some darker themes, so many of the hybrids have darker secrets and pasts. It's unexpected for Taehyung, because I've written him as a sort of quiet, sweet guy, but I think it definitely added to the shock value (crying... "murder era")
Also OMG tinfoil hat anon I love it- reminds me of the X-Files!! You have some really fantastic theories (like the Namjoon one!), it's almost like you're in my brain with me. And fjdasfhds Jeongguk's antlers I too have wondered if that would be uncomfortable for him... In future updates we get a closer look at those antlers, but basically they've been engineered to be smaller when he's in human form so he doesn't snap his neck carrying them around, and they moreso wrap slightly around his head rather than straight out left and right. He probably struggles with shirts, though I write him in a lot of zip up hoodies, button downs, and loose-neck band tee shirts. The guy probably sleeps on his back or tummy, I think his sides would be uncomfortable! And STOP omg what a cute scene idea between him and MC... I can so see him getting frustrated and MC wanting to die that she's that close to his half naked body lol...

truly, i have like 10+ favorite drabbles of yours, but i always find myself rereading “in which cruel fate leads you and jungkook to bright places”. that one really describes them as a couple. idk you can see how their love works (if that even makes sense💀). like how they function in their relationship. and they weren’t even together (in the same place / next to each other) in the first half yet i can still see how each of them are so full of love for one another.
6 - Something I remember vividly from reading one of your fics.
everytime i see in the soop kookie especially the ones with the -not so covering- pajamas i immediately went “oh no his scraped and bruised knees :(“ hshahahs i love that drabble sm <3
7 - What made me the most emotional after reading.

ahhhh I’ve been binging the beginning series since I discovered ur account recently and I have so many fav moments i don’t think I could put it in one ask 😭
1. reader hallucinating aaron when she had the flu in the prison - idk there’s just something about this moment that just hits every time + them singing we’ll meet again was just so sweet
2. literally any moment of the Dixon family - theyre just so cute and sweet and dad daryl always gets me like DILF DILF DILF 😵💫😵💫😵💫
3. reader defending robin and Lydia from gage, margo, and alfred- I love it when she gets protective of her family and my girl lydia didnt deserve to be bullied by them + those three needed to be shut up fr
4. reader getting pissed off at carol for putting daryl and Lydia in danger s10 - man I love carol and I was so sad for her but she was pissing me off too when she wasn’t thinking about how her actions could hurt others and herself + her almost getting magna, connie, jerry, aaron, daryl, Kelly, and reader killed 😐
5. chapter 76 when beta comes into the dixon’s home and robin is hiding - this entire scene terrified me lmfao I was so scared for robin but also so proud of her for trying to be brave + dog getting injured to protect her :( was so glad when rosita came and saved her 🙏
That’s all for now but I’m pretty sure I’ll be sending more later when I remember something 😁 I love the series sm and ur such an amazing writer! Omg I love that scene too! I don't think anyone has ever mentioned it really, but I love it. It's the first time where we see someone hallucinating in the series, which has become a recurring theme lol. And it's the first time we "see" Aaron (tho at that point I still hadn't revealed who he was because I wanted to be sneaky lol). And I loved referencing that song We'll Meet Again. It's so haunting and yet so pretty. It fits with the whole series really well I think.
YEAH. Daryl being a daddy is the hottest cutest thing ever!! And now he's got two kids??? Double dilf.
Dude I reread that scene myself so much because I just love reader defending her family. I think she defends her family a lot in season 10 which is really sweet. I love how she brings Lydia into their family. Lydia deserved more screen time and more scenes that just show her with Daryl and being apart of the family. At least I get to include that in my story.
Right??? Like I said, I think we really see reader standing up for her family in season 10 which is awesome. I love when she is kinda saucy and sassy and doesn't take anyone's shit. She doesn't do it very often, but when she does, it's very satisfying I must say. I think she was just fed up with Carol's selfishness, and tbh, Daryl wasn't being great either. I had to write him as still helping Carol like he did in the show, but that meant for some strain in his relationship with reader in my series. But I mean, there's no such thing as a relationship that doesn't have its ups and downs so I think it worked out.
Oh I reread that scene all the time too! Robin is so cute and brave. I loved writing in that little scene. And Dog... my heart. I just love the implication that Daryl has Dog trained to protect Robin and reader too lol. You know he absolutely would do something like that.

(and intermission by zar too since it fits in there) its just perfect and i feel like ive reread it a billion times.
fav golden trio era ship - probably luna and neville (do they have a ship name? i cant think of it if they do) they were my favourite characters as a kid so they have a special place in my heart. OH i also love romione because theyre just a classic and i love them sm.
do i write fics - sadly no. ive tried and failed. im not a creative writer at all, in fact im literally the opposite, call me the grammar police. im essentially the designated paper editor among my friends because im fantastic at technical writing and stuff like that, but i cant write for shit. i truly envy people who can create such beautiful stories.
tea or coffee - coffee always. i do love tea and have it probably just as much as coffee but i will always be a coffee girly.
go to outfit - hmm. well i basically live in my doc martens and leather jacket (very sirius of me i must say) and i do love a good baggy jean and band tee look. but on my off days you cannot find me out of my sweatpants or pajamas. its simply not happening.

area of study - im studying classics and anthroplogy in uni rn! ive always been a history/humanities girly and i love ancient history and languages so much so thats what i decided to do. I was planning on moving away sometime next year so I sold my book collection :’) it’s kind of a hassle to keep books you know you won’t re read anyway 🪦
Oooh that has happened to me too! It’s so much fun bc dreams are so crazy sometimes they make such great stories! I usually write when i can’t find something that suits my tastes, i’ve noticed people usually implement sign language for inumaki/have a character who can make Inumaki speak or just come out and say “he can speak in this scenario” and I feel like it takes away so much 😭 it’s fun to write a connection with him when you get the character to understand what he means with his actions/limited vocabulary! And omg id love to read more Solomon from you!! I love my shady wizard sm 😭🖤
Litch’s route had been really sad so far yes 🥲 but I think I kind of like it better than Chevalier’s (i’m finishing this one at the same time) it’s far more interesting bc stuff happens in the middle not like Chevalier’s, where the interesting stuff happens at the very end. Still like IkeVamp much more than IkePrince tho 👀
Ahhh OK, yeah it is a pain to pull along physical books when moving, especially whole series. Maybe you can get a copy as an e-book for now if you do decide to reread it before you've moved?
And aw yeah that takes away from both his character design and the challenge of building the picture and scene with your own words. Being a little OOC is understandable, given we're writing non-canon events, but still, his whole thing is people close to him have learned his meaning without needing a translator (and I love that we see Yuuta learn to do this in the movie). There's so many ways someone can express things besides words, anyway.
I also like IkeVamp more than IkePri but I do enjoy the writing overall. I can appreciate a darker story as long as it's not just torture porn lol. And actually someone pointed out something about the clause that I didn't pay attention to :o It doesn't specify that a prince needs to be made king (unless another clause does), it just specifies that "once the selection process has been completed, any further contact between Belle and the chosen King is forbidden". So Sariel technically can be chosen, though not sure he's interested in that anyway. But yes we will see!

i´ve been waiting for so long to leave an ask here :d. i really love sn and its one of my favorites series rn, i really adore how you put the characters and the amount of detail and work that you put in it is the best and makes me think that this would look in the big screen or something like that cuz ive never seen a plot so messy (in a good way haha i really love the twists and development to every single character including the ones that dont play a huge role into the novel) hope i can read++
