If you're wondering, this shit is the propaganda the royal family does. Australia is a country that the royals would not want to lose. Not because we're super special, but because Canada and New Zealand would be more likely to go republican if we do (and vice versa). We're (🤮) the prestigious colonies. Jamaica asking for reparations is easily ignored. Australia and Aotearoa have the Union Jack on our flags, it would be a visible difference.

The royals visit because they want to shore up soft power. It's not Charles because he's not popular. They say they support all the commonwealth making their own decisions because saying anything else would be a PR disaster, and then they do soft power tours to shore up their support.

The royals are actively working to maintain power, not just hoping people will keep them.
