It's actually fascinating to me how much the "palworld is plagiarism and uses ai" post is going around.
First of all the "AI" game that that studio released seems to be a tongue in cheek criticism of AI artists not having talent (but feel free to give me more info here, I only know what reading the product page for AI: Art Impostor tells me)
Second of all the developer being interested in generative AI for games isn't inherently a sign of plagiarism**- I intend to use generative AI for my games that is trained on MY OWN ART. It's not too different from procedural generation at that point because the algorithm itself (or it's training and fine tuning) becomes the art and you're not plagiarizing from anyone but yourself.
Third of all- knockoff games have existed for-fucking-ever and if it's derivative enough it's not plagiarism. And if you're talking about "plagiarism" of the gameplay since palworld has mechanics from several other genres pretty much copy pasted- I hear you- but no one throws a fit about doomlikes being exactly like other doomlikes, or soulslikes straight up copy pasting souls mechanics without even bothering to come up with an in-universe justification (looking at you, Jedi Fallen Order). I'd argue this is actually more creative than that to turn mechanics from multiple other franchises into a cohesive gameplay experience because putting a mechanic into a totally different game is actually really hard to fine tune into feeling good for the player!
Is a work derivative enough to add something new? Or combine old works in a new and novel way? Palworld definitely seems to combine several known mechanics in a novel and fun way. In the very worst case it's in a grey area.
Also the recent anti-plagiarism mass movement was created to protect small creators from getting bullied out of their due. Who are you trying to protect here? Nintendo? Pokemon was a rip-off of digimon and the jrpg's of that time. You gonna get up in arms about that?
This knee jerk hearing something is indirectly related to AI and assuming everything associated with it is stealing and bad needs to stop.
/endrant
**Also I can't find any direct evidence that they tried to use AI in development! Lots of people expressed interest in generative AI before the techbros hopped on the bandwagon and tried to monetize it as an art-stealing machine. This is not an admission of guilt.

01 - The Restroom is Indeed a Scary Place
wc: 2.5k words
warning: slightly suggestive (thigh touching), some kidnapping ig?, but nothing else aside from the other warnings above; and a crying Hinata also btw
also inspired by this cute doujinshi
Tumblr media
*NOTE: since purple/violet is unavailable via PC (using desktop beta lol), I'll use yellow for Ushijima instead.
Hinata Shouyou just came out of the girls’ restroom, singing her bathroom song (but discreetly lol) and turned left, when she bumped into something hard, face first.
“Ah, s-sumimase—“
“Are you okay?” a low and deep manly voice spoke to her, while large hands still gripped her shoulders after saving Karasuno’s Number 10 from tumbling backwards.
Brown eyes looked up to meet olive ones, as she faced Ushijima Wakatoshi, Shiratorizawa Academy’s Captain and Ace.
Ushiwaka. Japan.
“U-ushijima…-san,” Hinata gasped.
“Hinata Shouyou,” he replied, his face stoic as ever while staring at her face.
Which made the female decoy flustered.
Realizing the narrow space between them.
Also hands pulled off from touching gripping Ushiwaka’s chest shirt for support earlier.
Prompting him to release his grip on the chibi’s shoulders.
“I-i-i’m sorry!” Hinata stammered, apologizing at Ushijima and bowing multiple times. “I… I didn’t mean to—“
Staring at the girl, he was amused at how panicky one half of Karasuno’s freak quick combo is right now.
Which is cute.
And he fought the urge to pinch out her round cheeks right this moment.
The olive-haired guy slightly nodded in her direction.
“I’m also sorry—” he said laconically, which made Hinata surprised at his statement, “—for bumping into you a while ago.”
The female crow just shook her head and beamed. “It’s okay! I’m alright, Ushijima-san. You shouldn’t apolog—kya!”
Hinata’s sentence was cut off when both hands cupped her pink-tinged cheeks.
Ushijima’s hands, though large and calloused due to spiking balls since childhood, were warm and soft to the touch.
“A-a-ano—! W-wha… Ushijima-san…?!”
The chibi stuttered, trying to look at him but failed to do so.
Her heart thumping as loud as Saeko-neesan’s wadaiko beats.
Lol.
She squirmed, face now a full-blown blush, under the Shiratorizawa captain’s touch.
He raised his eyebrows, his voice a bit amazed.
“Hmm… so it’s true! Touching your cheeks can calm the nerves. Relaxing and therapeutic.”
WHAT IS SHE—SOME GENERIC FOOD SUPPLEMENT OR SOMETHING—
Hinata tilted her head on the side, looking a bit lost to what Ushiwaka said. “Pardon?”
Before he answered his reply, another male voice joined in from the back of the big guy. “Wakatoshi-kun, Coach and the others are waiting for you inside the gym… what are you doing—eh?”
Shiratorizawa’s Player No.5, the Guess Monster itself. Tendou Satori.
The redhead middle blocker peeked at his teammate’s shoulder to see both of his hands were connected—no, caressing—both of Hinata’s flushing cheeks.
“Aha! Karasuno’s little Number 10~!!”, he exclaimed, pointing his long index finger at the orange-head middle blocker.
RIP Ushiwaka’s eardrum.
She frowned, glaring at the tall redhead.
“HOW DARE YOU CALL ME ‘LITTLE’!?” she pouted.
Wanted to karate chop Tendou in the face for making fun of her height.
Meanwhile, the female decoy’s talking sent faint vibrations onto Ushijima’s palms still latching on both her cheeks.
He hummed in delight.
He was entertained by the different facial expressions Karasuno’s Hinata Shouyou made today.
And his heart swooned.
Noticing his friend’s faint blush, Tendou commented, “Ah! You must be trying out the theory about touching Chibi-chan No.10’s fluffy cheeks?”
“Hmm,” he nodded in reply.
Hinata stared both at the Shiratorizawa players, face a bit red. “What ‘theory’ is it that involves t-touching my cheeks…?”
The redhead draped one arm around Ushijima while his other arm left hanging upward, index finger pointed above.
Like an “Aha!” pose.
He explained, “There’s this rumor circulating around here earlier that we kind of heard about after coming out of our bus upon arrival. They said that (either) ruffling your hair, touching your cheeks and/or your hands can calm down uneasy nerves and relaxes the body.”
“Eh!? R-really? Who said th—ugyaa!”
The left-handed volleyball cannon started to squish both the female baby crow’s cheeks in a gentle manner.
Her hands tried to pry his hands away from her cheeks but to no avail—he’s strong he won’t budge.
Ushiwaka’s olive eyes locked in with Hinata’s brown ones.
“It is very relaxing.” “U-u-ushijima-san… s-stop… my c-cheeks…—“
…really, the restroom—whether it is the girls’ or the boys’—is indeed a scary place.
——— ☀️ ———
Meanwhile, inside another nearby gym, the rest of the crows were having their morning warm ups.
The team’s vice-captain, Sugawara Koushi, noticed their female member’s absence.
“Say, has anybody known where Hinata-chan went to?”
“She went to the girls’ restroom to freshen up,” said their third-year club manager, Shimizu Kiyoko, pushing forward a volleyball cart full of balls on the other side of the net.
Beside her, holding a bunch of clean towels and sports bibs, her fellow manager Yachi Hitoka added on with a somewhat worried look etched in her face.
“But, Shimizu-senpai, that was ten minutes ago! I wonder why Hina-chan hasn’t come back yet…? And our first practice match for today will start soon.”
“I’ll go look for that boke, Sugawara-san,” his fellow setter, first-year Kageyama Tobio, offered to help.
The silver-haired guy smiled softly at Kageyama and patted his back.
“Thank you! Please find and bring our dear Hinata-chan back to safety—and don’t start another ‘lovers’ quarrel’ with her, got it, Kageyama?”
Kags suddenly choked at his senpai’s request, his face a whole mess of red.
“S-SUGAWARA-SAN, I—WE’RE NOT…!” he stammered while glaring at the third-year.
“Oho~ a ‘lovers’ quarrel’ between the King and his idiotic subject? Really though…”
“S-shut up, four-eyes!” Kageyama then sneered at the smirking tall middle blocker, fellow first-year Tsukishima Kei. Beside him, his classmate Yamaguchi Tadashi, snickered.
“Hai, hai~! That’s enough,” Suga singsonged while pushing the fuming and embarrassed raven-haired kid out of the gym. “Come on, you still need to fetch Hinata…”
A jolt ran down the third-year setter’s bones, his ahoge twitched like an antenna.
SugamamaRadar™️
Fear shown on Sugawara’s face.
Oh no, my poor baby crow…—
He jogged towards Kageyama. “Wait up! I’ll come with you—“
——— ☀️ ———
“…s-stop squishing my face, d-dammit…!”
Hinata’s cheeks—now a bit sore from constant pressing—were still being held ‘hostage’ by Ushijima’s large hands.
Behind his shoulder, the Guess Monster amused himself with what was in front of him.
“Ah, I wanna take a picture of her right now~!” Tendou decided, fishing out his phone from the pocket of his jersey shorts.
“N-no, no… Tendou-sa…! No—Please…! D-don’t… my cheeks are h-hurting—USHIJIMA-SENPAI STOP!!!” the female decoy yelped, tears starting to leak out of her brown eyes.
Senpai? Chibi-chan calls Wakatoshi-kun ‘senpai’ now?? WHAT!?!!! the redhead thought, flabbergasted. Unfair… so unfair~
The olive-head stopped what he was doing after he felt wetness seeping through his fingers, but hands remained stuck to Hinata’s face.
Hinata Shouyou, with her sore and pinkish cheeks, teary-eyed and sniffling.
Tendou then whispered to his team captain. “Oh my, this is bad, Wakatoshi-kun~ You’ve made the cute girl cry…”
Ushijima kept his gaze at her, his olive eyes laced with concern. “Did I?” he asked monotonously, his hands now placed on his sides.
The ‘cute girl’ in question started to wipe away her tears with the back of her hand while rubbing her abused right cheek with the other.
“I did tell you to stop squishing my cheeks, Ushijima-san!” Hinata scowled at the two men. “But you won’t listen!”
The Shiratorizawa ace felt a pang of guilt and sadness at the same time.
But Ushijima Wakatoshi made up a plan to keep her sunny disposition from fading.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered, body slightly bent towards Hinata so she’s at eye level with him. “I really am.”
His usual expressionless facial structures softened and… is he smiling? At her?
Her face flushed again at the sudden closeness between them, heart beat picking up speed.
Not to mention the warmth of his left hand the chibi felt at the crown of her head.
Ushijima began to wipe away streaks of tears on her eyes and cheeks with his right.
“Stop crying now, or your cute face will become like Yoda,” Tendou jokingly said to Hinata, playful red eyes looking at her.
“S-shut it, Tendou-san,” Karasuno’s Number 10 whined, lips pouting, her face scowling with embarrassment.
Ah, be it a crying face or a pissed one, she really looks cute either way, both guys thought the same, with faint blushes adorning their cheeks.
“What~? Tendou-‘san’?! You called Wakatoshi-kun ‘Ushijima-senpai!’”—the Guess Monster then imitated Hinata’s voice from earlier.
Which further embarrassed the scowling girl more.
“—then me a merely ‘Tendou-SAN’?! Hey, we’re of the same year level—“
“Tendou—“
The said redhead fake-sneered at the orange-haired decoy, pointing shakily. *shrugs*
“—I’m your upperclassman also, Chibi-chan! Show some respect by calling me ‘senpai’!!” fumed Tendou.
Hinata flinched a bit at their rival school’s middle blocker’s litany. And looked down.
Then silence.
Ushijima turned to face his friend, his brows slightly knitted.
“That is absurd coming from you, Tendou,” he scolded him. “I think you made her angry now. What if she cries again?” Not to mention her teammates—
“Maa, maa~ don’t you worry, my dear Wakatoshi-kun! She won’t~ I’m sure of that!”
Did she buy the charade? the redhead thought as he waited expectantly at her next course of action.
Eyebrows raised in anticipation. “Well…?”
She mumbled. “…pai…”
“Come again?”
Hinata then raised her head and looked shyly at them.
Flustered. Lips quivering. Hands fiddling the hem of her white shirt. Feet shifting from one side to another.
She took a deep breath.
“T-tendou-senpai! U-u-ushijima-senpai…!” she stuttered yet said in a clearly loud voice.
That does it.
They’ve been struck with the arrow of sunshine deep in their very soul.
The olive-haired guy’s body felt tense for a second.
The Guess Monster suddenly fell dramatically on both knees, clutching his shirt-clad chest as if in a wheezing position.
The female middle blocker panicked, hands waving in front of them.
“A-a-ano…!?!! You two–are you two okay???”
“You… you nearly killed us with your moe-moe attack, you know!?” Tendou exclaimed, quickly bouncing back from his kneeling moments ago.
Hinata tilted her head (again) in puzzlement. “Huh? ‘Moe-moe attack’? What’s that?”
Which caused him to facepalm and shake his head in reply. “Seriously!? What are you… are you even a human being??”
“HEY!”
After a long time lol, Ushijima spoke to her in a blunt manner.
“I did not know that you’re as dense as a rock when it comes to… these kinds of things, Hinata Shouyou.”
You’re one to talk though, Ushiwaka lololol
She scowled again at them. “I’m not!!! Quit teasing me, damn you Ushiwaka~!”
Cute!!!
The redhead then whispered again at the captain’s ear, acting like his bad conscience.
“Let’s take her back with us to the team, Wakatoshi-kun. Let’s keep her and her radiating presence to ourselves.”
He agreed with Tendou’s scheming idea, which is the same thought as his. “Yes, let’s keep her to ourselves.”
Forget about facing the wrath of Karasuno–screw this!
Hinata sensed something suspicious going on between them.
“W-what are you two whispering about? Hey, what do you think you’re doin—hyaah!!! U-ushijima-san…!!!”
She was hoisted up by Ushijima and placed on his shoulder, her flushing face facing towards his broad back and Tendou (who wiggled his long fingers as if doing a little wave of hello), as they walked away from the girls’ restroom.
Both his large and beefy arms holding her tiny waist and slim, lightly-toned milky-white legs to secure her in place.
Hinata Shouyou was being carried by the ace of Shiratorizawa like a sack of rice.
“Put me down! Ushijima-san, please!” she yelped, her fists started banging her captor’s back.
“Where are you two taking me to—ah!!”
His hand is touching my thigh…!
Gripping her legs tighter, Ushijima turned his head around, olive-colored eyes staring sternly against her honey-brown ones.
“I would appreciate it if you stop punching my back. Lest you really want to fall yourself down on the concrete face first?” he hissed.
That stopped Hinata from bruising his back more.
S-scary… Ushiwaka’s really scary! she thought, a faint wave of nausea forming on her stomach.
Silence.
“S-sorry…,” she mumbled guiltily, her hands now touching his back, rubbing small circles to where she had hit him a while ago.
Ah… her hands… she’s comforting me…?
She held out a wry smile. “Does it still hurt, senpai…?”
“…yes, it still hurts. A bit.”
The orange-haired girl panicked again.
“EHHH!? I’m so sorry! I’m so sorry! I’m so so—hiii!!!”
Ushijima gently stroked a finger on the back of her thighs. “Stop flailing yourself or I will really drop you on the ground. Hard.”
Hinata then gulped at the consequence.
“Y-yes, sir…,” she mumbled, her pouty face laced with a deeper shade of red.
Tendou laughed heartily. “You really, really made him mad there, aren’t’cha, dear Chibi-chan~,” he said, ruffling her orange hair.
“And, to answer your question earlier: we’re taking you back to our team!”
“What!?” she exclaimed.
RIP Ushiwaka’s eardrum, part 2.
The decoy shook her head in a disapproving way.
“No, no, no, NO! I don’t wanna! Please let me down, Ushijima-san—I need to go back to my team! I bet they’re waiting for me! We have a practice match today… I want to go back… please?”
“No. You’re coming with us, Hinata Shouyou.”
Sweat drops started to form on Hinata’s face.
“B-but… if I don’t return back soon, K-kageyama-kun will kill me!”
“THE HELL I WILL YOU IDIOT!!!”
Suddenly, a raging Karasuno Number 9 appears—
The three of them flinched, with the girl slowly glancing upward to see Kageyama running towards, glaring.
Oh, crap! Hinata felt shivers down her spine.
“Hinata boke, we’ve been looking for you for almost half a hour!! Why’re you taking so long to take a shit in the bathroom—“
“—BAKAYAMA I DID NOT—AND IT’S ‘POOP’, NOT ‘SHIT’, STUPID!!—”
Tendou snickered at the conversation. “Pfft. He said ‘shit’ to a girl…”
“—we were so worried about you—huh?” He suddenly stopped his bickering when the setter noticed the awkward position his orange-haired partner was in.
Together with two of the members of the Shiratorizawa Academy Men’s Volleyball Club.
Together with the Ushiwaka.
Why is she on his shoulder? he thought, a vein popping on his forehead.
What the hell.
Kageyama walked near them, scowling. “Hey, why are you with Ushijima? Tell me!”
Panic rose across her face.
Sweat began to form on her forehead.
Brown eyes averting his cold blue-eyed stare.
Hinata started to sputter out some words, nearly stuttering in the process.
“K-k-ka-Kageyama-kun! It’s not what you think—“
Ushijima answered him back for her. “We’re bringing Hinata Shouyou back to our team. We’re keeping her.”
“USHIJIMA-SA—hyaah!” He made another stroke at the back of her thigh, making her flushed and gripping the back of his shirt in the process. “P-please… stop—“
He replied with his usual stoic demeanor, but a pink tinge sporting his cheekbones said otherwise.
“No, I won’t stop. I want to see more of that cute expression of yours, …Shouyou-chan.”
Homerun, straight to the kokoro—
Is he smirking at her???
“A-ano… s-s-senpai, please…—“ My heart… beating faster… if this continues… I might—
“What the hell are you two doing with my precious child?”
Sugawara stood in front of them, donning a creepy-like smile.
Dark aura emitted behind the crows’ vice-captain. Now, it’s the two Shiratorizawa players’ turn to shiver.
“S-sugawara-san… please… h-help me…,” his precious kouhai muttered dizzily. “I think I might… fai—“
And her mind went blank.

Tumblr media
BASICS
Name:   Unohana   / / /    Age:  3000+   / / /      Gender:   nonbinary woman Race:   Shinigami / Quincy / Hollow / Fullbringer / Visored / Human / Other Currently lives:   Soul Society / Hueco Mundo / Silbern / Living World / Hell Exact Location:  Seireitei Group(s):  Gotei 13, Squad 4, Squad 11 (formerly)
QUESTIONS
- Would your muse consider themselves more: GOOD / BAD / NEUTRAL ? - Would your muse consider their group more: GOOD / BAD / NEUTRAL ? - How does your muse think others see them: GOOD / EVIL / NEUTRAL ? - How does your muse think others see their race: GOOD / EVIL / NEUTRAL ? - How does your muse think others see their group: GOOD / EVIL / NEUTRAL ?
- Is your muse considered a threat: YES / NO ?   By whom?:  Central 46 , to the Soul Society governed by laws and ideals of justice , to any living creature in any and all realms on an instinctual level - Is your muse powerful: YES / NO ?  Could they be considered OP:  YES / NO ? (probably... but i love op women so keep them coming) - Did your muse commit any crimes: YES / NO ? (sweaty emoji) - Does your muse think they are doing mostly the right thing: YES / NO ? - Would society think the same: YES / NO / MIXED OPINIONS ? Does your muse think they are treated unfairly: YES / NO ? - Does your muse feel understood from others: YES / NO ? - Is it important for them what others think of them as a person: YES / NO ? - Would they welcome death:  YES / NO ? - Will they ever find peace:  YES / NO ?
01.0.  Do they fully stand behind the group they are part of? YES / NO. Why is that? Explain: As one of the founding members of the Gotei Thirteen, Unohana’s loyalty to Yamamoto and resolve to uphold the governing laws have never once wavered.
02.0.  Do they like as things are in Soul Society? YES / NO. 02.1.  Is there anything they would change? Explain here: It’s not until she becomes ‘Retsu’ Unohana, that she truly begins to understand feelings like empathy and compassion, even if feigned at first to fulfill the role she’s taken. While she feels sympathy for those souls subjected to living in Rukongai in poverty, and genuinely wants the legislature of Central 46 to improve the quality of life for the poor outside of Seireitei’s walls, her sense of duty to the Yamamoto and the Gotei, as well as her own responsibility in regards to her personal ‘sin’ outweighs much else. She is capable of recognizing the nuance of morality to some extent, especially as Retsu, she firmly distinguishes right from wrong (her compliance with Rukia’s execution for example, despite recognising it was objectively too severe a punishment), but this code will in most cases come second to upholding Soul Society’s ideals.
- (this next area is tricky because I stand by the fact that there is a LOT of conflict with the image of ‘The Self’ that exists within Unohana, and as such, she falls into the category of both traits in a lot of these- bold is the more dominant of the two, italicized is secondary)
03.0. Would they ever actively try to bring change (in general)? YES / NO. 03.1. Is your muse more: passive / active ?  Introverted / Extroverted ? 03.2. Does your muse care more about: others / themselves ? 03.3. Do they trouble their mind over a lot of problems, others? YES / NO. 03.4. Do they mostly involve: the world / everyone / themselves / comrades / friends / family / elderly / kids / teenagers / home / workplace / strangers / souls / humans / quincy / shinigami / nobles / fullbringer / visored / hollows / espada / arrancar / former bosses / pets / animals / zanpakuto spirit / enemies / partner / lovers / soul king / god / other…(add more) 03.5. Name (up to) three which are the most on their mind (optional, adding names): - Kenpachi Zaraki. The burden of guilt weighing heavy on her shoulders, the promise of the heights he could rise to, should she raise him properly. - Isane Kotetsu. Her tender-hearted, earnest ally in everything; who she trusts to keep her greatest secrets (her greatest shame), the person with whom she entrusts her zanpakuto, who runs to her side when the nightmares are too vivid, who will proudly stand alongside her, and honor her legacy as Retsu. - Genryuusai Shigekuni Yamamoto. When monsters still roamed the realms and the balance of souls was in chaos, her strength was once sought out by one such demon in exchange for endless enemies to fight and cut down for him. She has never looked back. - Shutara Senjumaru. They once knew each other when they were nothing more than The Kenpachi and a noblewoman. Feelings, relationships, names, social standing, roles, identity— if everything about a person is subject to change, what is left remaining? Still, the threads connect; pulling, stretching, but never breaking.
04.0. Do they think frequently about politics? YES / NO / SOMETIMES. Why is that? Explain: Her position as a long-standing Captain and founding member of the Gotei Thirteen itself is highly politicized. As stated above, Unohana has a strong sense of objective “right and wrong”, but this always comes second to her duty to Soul Society. Specifically following Aizen’s betrayal given her direct role in partial discovery of his scheme, she gives deeper thinking to the flaws within the Central 46 governing system.
05.0. How do they feel in their current location, more: POSITIVE / NEGATIVE / NEUTRAL ? 05.1. Why is that?: Positive is in response to her death, and Kenpachi absolving her of her sins and guilt over being unable to bestow him her title years earlier. Neutral & Positive also both correlate to her standing and service as the 4th Division Captain, as well as the post-canon AU I’ve given her.
06.0. Does your muse have any goal: YES / NO ?  BIG / SMALL ? 06.1. Does it involve anything world-changing: YES / NO ? (technically ig??) 06.2. If goal or not, any future plans? Share here:  To raise the next Kenpachi and correct her mistake. Though perhaps in itself a small goal, the ramifications on the world are large, and it is a largely character-defining goal for her.
07.0. Does your muse know about the original sin of soul society*: YES / NO / MAYBE ? * curious? Read about it here. 07.1. If they knew, would it change their views on Soul Society: YES / NO ? 07.2. More: POSITIVE / NEGATIVE / NEUTRAL ?
08.0. Who is the worst person in their eyes?: Yhwach , Aizen 08.1. What should happen to them? Execution (quick / slow death) / Imprisonment / Stripped of their powers / Torture / Repay for their sins / Pay a Fine / Social Work / lose their loved ones / Exile / other… (add more). 08.2. Explanation:  I feel like they’re both fairly self explanatory, though extra points to Yhwach for killing Yamamoto because she is Not A Fan
09.0. Thoughts on the Quincy Massacre if they knew: POSITIVE / NEGATIVE / NEUTRAL ? 09.1. Would they be alright with such thing happening again: YES / NO / INDIFFERENT ? 09.2. Would they try to prevent it: YES / NO / DEPENDS ? 09.3. Explanation:  They were a threat to Soul Society and the balance of souls between the realms, one that was eliminated in response to a rebellion they themselves started. Perhaps if circumstances were different (such as, the Mod Soul dump/genocide, where they were innocent), there wouldn’t have been a need for such bloodshed. But as always, everything is done in the name of preserving the balance of souls, regardless of the cost.
10.0. Would they ever switch sides: YES / NO ? 10.1. If yes, What could bring them to do so?:  N/A 10.2. Would they create a new one: YES / NO ?  or join a current one? If so, which:  In my post-canon AU, she “retires” to Rukongai and lives as an herbalist before being recruited by Yoruichi Shihoin to teach at the Shin’o Academy. So in that sense, she joins a current subset of the Soul Society faction with which she was aligned.
11.0. Does your muse follow a certain moral code*?:  YES / NO / GRAY AREA ? (UH... LOL) * (ethics) A written, formal, and consistent set of rules prescribing righteous behavior, accepted by a person or by a group of people. 11.1. What does it involve?: The laws and governing laid out by Central 46, though this is secondary to Yamamoto’s commands. The latter is especially important, given that Yamamoto’s own laws changed drastically over time. 11.2. What does it NOT involve?: This one is subject to the changes laid out above; torture, murder, violence, whatever earns you the title of The Most Bloodthirsty and Violent Criminal In Soul Society’s History.
YOUR MUSE’S VIEWS / OPINIONS ON THESE GROUPS ?
Central 46:   positive / negative / neutral.   ━   because: they govern the Soul Society, but she follows primarily Yamamoto’s command.
Four Great Noble Clans:   positive / negative / neutral.   ━   because: She herself has no divisive opinion on the Nobility beyond her disapproval that certain members can buy their way into a high rank within the Gotei. Those positions ought to be earned by strength and skill, not monetary means. That said, due to the Nobility having extensive influence within Soul Society, Unohana has personally served as the attending physician to such distinguished houses, most notably the Kuchiki Household (with regards to Ginrei, Sojun, and Hisana).
Royal Guards / Gotei 13:   positive / negative / neutral .   ━   because: She literally helped to create the Gotei 13, so there is a certain amount of pride in that fact.
Fullbringer:   positive / negative / neutral.   ━   because:  Other than the actions and fate of one Ginjou Kuugo, she has no true opinion on Fullbringers existing as their own “spiritual race”.
Visored:   positive / negative / neutral.   ━   because:  Not positive in the sense that she is perfectly fine with their circumstances, however she explicitly refers to them as her “comrades”, which is an especially interesting note given how other Gotei officers and Captains reacted with suspicion or out right disgust. Unohana has been known to heal enemy and ally alike, however, and likely viewed them as such given their shared history as Gotei officers, as well as already having proven themselves to align their interest with those of Soul Society.
Espada:   positive / negative / neutral.   ━   because:  As far as fighting beneath Aizen’s command, she disapproves. However, given the post-HM attempt at establishing relations between Hueco Mundo’s de facto ruler and Soul Society, there is a begrudging neutrality between their worlds for the time being. That said, Unohana was not opposed to healing Gantenbainne Mosqueda after arriving in Hueco Mundo, suggesting that she views Arrancar in general with as much autonomy as Humans and Shinigami.
Quincy:   positive / negative / neutral.   ━   because:  Her prejudice against Quincies comes chiefly from their practice of eliminating souls vs cleansing them, creating an imbalance between the worlds, as well as Yhwach during the original Blood War. Prior to the TYBW, she was fairly neutral, if not perhaps somewhat pitying over their race for having stood and fallen against Soul Society. But she’s a firm believer that the Quincy genocide was a result of their own hubris; angels with wings of wax, etc etc. That said, she gets absolutely zero direct interaction with any Quincies during the TYBW, and I personally think that despite her stronger opinions, she’d be inclined to heal the likes of Bazz-B, Giselle, and Liltotto because they defected from the Wandenreich. It’s a whole nuanced thing.
YOUR MUSE’S VIEWS / OPINIONS ON THESE (IMPORTANT) PEOPLE ?
Aizen:   positive / negative / neutral.   ━   because:  Treacherous reprobate, etc etc. All the obvious reasons. I don’t think she’d disapprove of Shunsui’s decision to free him though, only because drastic times call for drastic measures. If that weren’t the case, surely she wouldn’t have been pushed to finally teach Kenpachi Zaraki the Art of Killing.
Yhwach:   positive / negative / neutral.   ━   because:  Other than the obvious stuff, him cutting down Yamamoto was something she reacted to negatively and viscerally so.
Mayuri:   positive / negative / neutral.   ━   because:  His personality is infuriating, but she does find it hilarious to push his buttons and prod at his ego. She doesn’t agree with some of his crueler methods, but she really doesn’t have room to talk and in the end, it’s for the sake of the Soul Society.
Kurosaki:   positive / negative / neutral.   ━   because:  INCREDIBLE, INSPIRING, SHOW-STOPPING, BRILLIANT. Really fond of the kid, really worried for the kid. She kind of wants to fight him.
Soul King:   positive / negative / neutral. ━   because:  While his origins are dubious and objectively horrific,  his presence is necessary for the sake of the greater world.
CONGRATS, you managed till to the end, now tag your fellow bleach partners!

I received quite a few PMs from people from my previous post talking about my apps I use for creating social media content asking me to link to the accounts.I was just going to respond to all of them, but I figured I'd go into a bit more detail about how and why I chose my niche and the journey up until today. Sorry for how long it took to write this!I gladly encourage constructive feedback and criticism and I also would like for anyone’s input on on monetization methods that I could implement to increase earnings. My brand is a community called Barista Life. Barista Life is a pretty tight-knit group of baristas from around the world, a majority of them work at Starbucks. I began the account while working as a Starbucks barista myself and studying Marketing in college. I had previously started countless websites (like over 55+ by the time I was 19), Instagram accounts, and tried to start so many businesses that didn't go anywhere and this was the first one that stuck and grew into something. Working at Starbucks for almost 5 years gave me a deep understanding of the "Barista Life," so to speak, which I believe is why I have been able to continue for so long.In the beginning, I was a complete stranger to running that type of account which meant I was self-teaching myself as I went along. Until then, the only type of Instagram account I was familiar with was posting to my personal account so with it, came a huge learning curve. This was about 3ish maybe 4 years ago now and I know now they shouldn't be, but things like not taking any images from the internet and reposting them without crediting the OP was foreign to me. In the beginning, I received a lot of very vocal criticisms from users in r/Starbucks about the account which I tried not to take to heart but knowing any better, it was discouraging because my intentions were only good from the get go. But I kept going and learned the ways of Instagram and social media.Growing the account turned out to be a bit easier back then than I've found it to be now. Since there was no other account like barista life in the barista niche, I credit a lot of early growth to word of mouth. My account was the first, semi-large account that took the lives of baristas and used social media/meme trends to capture each moment that baristas all around the world related to. Followers would see a post that hit home, go to work where they're working in close quarters and talking with other baristas all day, and just like that, BL would get 10+ new followers. That doesn't mean that it didn't take a TON of work on top of that to get the word out there. While still a small account, I relied on the followers of the @StarbucksPartners Instagram account to target. I would literally sit for hours upon hours on my phone just following everybody who had liked one of the StarbucksPartners IG posts. It was more of a logical choice, which I think applies to choosing any account that has your target group. I knew that pretty much the only people following the starbucks employee Instagram account had to work at Starbucks. And since I chose to follow only users who had liked a photo, I knew 2 things: they worked at Starbucks (so my notification wouldn't necessarily be unwelcomed) and that they had an active account (since they were liking photos). This was before the use of automation bots like Instagress and FollowLiker became so annoying and common that a notification from a random account wasn't looked at as spammy as it is now. I did the same thing with the Barista Life Pinterest, Tumblr and Twitter accounts as well. Back then I was using a Chrome & Firefox extension called "iMacros" which executes repetitive tasks, such as liking tweets and following users, based on a script of code you enter in. The learning curve with imacros was pretty annoying, but I finally got it figured out and I would follow users and like tweets until I hit the limit. I'd wait a day or so, then keep going. Again, I don't really recommend using this method today since IG, Facebook and Twitter are way more likely to straight up ban your account from spamming. With the Starbucks Partners IG account, was their hashtag "#ToBeAPartner." This was pretty much the same thought process as above. I thought, why would somebody use the official hashtag of the starbucks barista if they weren't a starbucks barista? This provided me with a pool of about 50k baristas to start with.As for creating content, I would literally go to work and think of every little thing I did throughout the day. Every thing that was funny, annoying, inconvenient, etc. every job, every drink, every order, every type of customer could be made into a post, meme, tweet or video. So as the days went on, I would just write a note in my phone of a post idea. Then, on my ten minute breaks and my 30 minute lunch break, I would create a post or a meme, then post it and go back to work. Every single shift. Then after work, I would park my car somewhere shady and secluded usually in a parking lot in the industrial center near my work, and work from my phone for at least an hour or two in my nice air conditioned car with a charger and music. It's actually my favorite place to work. Absolutely no distractions and the air conditioner is free, not to mention the driver seat is comfy AF. Creating content is easier than one would think when you ARE your demographic. My love for memes and making people laugh definitely made the process easier by knowing how to keep up with the trends and knowing when they died out.Personally, I was so heavily invested with starbucks that it was apparent due to the account's focus on Starbucks related content. I receive a lot of comments from users asking us to focus less on starbucks and more on baristas that work at other coffee shops. It is tough though, Starbucks is so heavily covered in the news and so many followers work there that branching out is challenging, but we are working on researching new topics and working with other, smaller coffee brands. We have used a lot of our Instagram posts to create valuable content from the comments. For example, we could post a question asking everybody for their best tips and advice for being a shift supervisor, then we take the comments, and use them as content for an article/guide on our website. We've also partnered with bigger blogs like Cosmopolitan.com to provide content by asking questions to our community in exchange for mentions and backlinks back to our site.My whole goal with the account started out as just a meme account to bash on the annoying things customers would do while ordering. While we still do have posts about "annoying customer habits" We've been working to evolve the account into a place where everybody can come and validate their feelings and connect with like-minded individuals.Since Barista Life is not affiliated with Starbucks or any other corporation, it gives us a bit of freedom in what we can post. A majority of my followers are all people my age, all working the same job, all interacting with the same types of people, all going through the same trials and tribulations. My goal has pivoted into making what it's like to be a barista just overall, better.By taking a bad day somebody had, adding some humor to it, and posting; people will read through the comments and realize that thousands of others are feeling the same way. It may not sound like much, but I'd say the most fulfilling thing about making people laugh and bringing people together is knowing that I'm making people smile and improving their lives, no matter how insignificantly I'm doing so.I did quit my job as a barista a few months ago, but while working there, I would run the account in secrecy from my coworkers since I was a shift supervisor and did not want the fact that I ran the account to change their opinion of me. While an employee of Starbucks, corporate knew who I was and knew I was the one running the account. I was frequently contacted by corporate in regards to some of the more 'inappropriate' posts, I guess you could say, and was asked to remove them. I complied. (Starbucks is not a company you want on your bad side)For those wondering and trying to find a niche to start an online business with, I truly believe it has to be something you are passionate about and something you know the ins and outs of, or you're going to have a very hard time pushing through the downs. Trust me, there are a lot of downs and times where I wanted to stop posting. I actually did stop posting for a few months back in the earlier days of the account, but eventually picked it back up and I'm glad I did. Some of the hardships and challenges I've noticed now are staying motivated and holding myself accountable to keep busy and always looking for ways to grow and expand the business. When you truly work for yourself, it can be very easy to get relaxed and not work as hard as you know you should be. I'll have weeks where I'll wake up at 7am and work non-stop until late in the night. But then I'll also have days where I wake up a bit later, and have a real hard time sitting down and getting work done when I know I don't HAVE to. I know I should, but there's nobody over your shoulder holding you accountable so you have to literally be your own boss, your own motivation, and when you're the business, If you take a day off, the business takes a day off.Another challenge I've faced is hiring and outsourcing the work so I can focus on growing the business. Whether the reason behind that is not being able to find people that fit, not having the extra capital to pay an employee, or in the case of social media & creating content, not being sure that who you hire will create content up to the standards of the brand. I know I need to because running this alone has proved to be quite difficult. There are so many different things I could devote my attention to, that it can get overwhelming.Monetizing MethodsStarting what is essentially a meme account comes with the challenges of creating an income for yourself to sustain the work involved. The barista life account makes money a few different ways.Private labeling productsWe sell our own merchandise on our website which is a Shopify-Hosted website (which I would recommend to anybody interested in creating an online store). We sell lanyards, lapel pins for Barista's aprons, Infuser water bottles, and our best seller is the PenPal. The PenPal is a clip-on retractable reel where a barista attaches their sharpie to and is always within reach. A big thing that I think I messed up on is not setting up my products with Amazon FBA. I figured that since the products are all at a pretty low price point, it wouldn’t be worth it to pay the Amazon FBA fees when I didn’t have much room. So, I do ALL of the packaging, fulfillment and shipping for every product that isn’t POD (Print on Demand). This takes up a lot of my time and I need to get FBA going.Affiliate SalesCreating articles and social media posts about products in the coffee niche with affiliate links to the amazon product page.Advertising RevenueWe don’t make too much from advertising. With the amount of views we get, we know we can definitely improve the revenue numbers. We use mainly Adsense and Facebook Instant Articles Audience Network.Merch by AmazonActually just got accepted to the Merch program. To date, we’ve sold about 25 shirts in a little under a month.Working with App CompaniesOur largest partnership is with an app company called Shyft. Shyft is an app for retail workers to post, pick up, and find coverage for their shifts at work. A barista is their target demographic so we promote their app to our community because we truly believe in it. Once you start promoting any product or service, it can dilute your brand and each promotion won't hold any weight. We recommend promoting products that you can personally vouch for.So, feel free to ask any questions or provide your feedback or your advice on how we can continue to monetize our following. I’d love and welcome all helpful ideas and thoughts.Instagram: @Barista_LifeTwitter: @BaristaLifeFacebook
