When I read a special about Cornelia and Caleb, I noticed Orube as the keeper of the Heart of Kandrakar and Will as the guardian of earth. I found this idea curious, but their costumes... Girls just had their designs swapped, and it's so boring. I realize why it happened: it makes no sense to create new outfits for a couple of pages + it's easier to understand who is what kind of guardian.
But I really wanted to think further. I wanted to give each of the girls an individuality and preserve symbolic features. For example, like Cornelia, Will is wearing a long skirt, but the pattern on her stomach is very similar to her original costume. And Orube retains a headband and a belt that mimics a tail.
I really liked to draw them like this. It's like it's a parallel universe where completely different events take place. This opens up space for my imagination :3

248 - Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle
Tumblr media
We are returning to the work of Jennifer Jason Leigh this week, and Jourdain Searles is joining us once again with an underrated and underseen gem. Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle takes on the life of indelible writer Dorothy Parker, capturing her days with the insular Algonquin Circle and her later dissolution with the group, all with Jennifer Jason Leigh as the noted wit. Launched at Cannes, the film was celebrated for her performance even with a limited audience, including Golden Globe and Independent Spirit nominations for Best Actress. But even in a famously uncompetitive Best Actress lineup, Leigh was left out.
This episode, we talk about Leigh's several close calls for a nomination in the 1990s and our feelings about the nomination that she eventually received for The Hateful Eight. We also talk about Pulp Fiction's domination on the independent film scene, the Cannes Film Festival, and the influence of producer Robert Altman.
Topics also include writer/director Alan Rudolph's filmography, the film's massive (and nepotism baby-inflected) ensemble, and the person-not-company Condé Nast.

These girls surely were growing up fast. Orube hadn’t anticipated Cornelia’s crass commentary, cheeks brightening at her words. “It’s not like that.” Despite what Cornelia might believe, her actions weren’t motivated by something as trivial as fluctuating feelings. She didn’t even like him, for heaven’s sake. He was the enemy. But in a way, talking to him caused her to feel less alone. As if there was a kindred spirit that understood what it felt like to feel alienated in a world so unlike anything they had ever experienced. After all, at the end of the day, she had no one. “—Thank you.”

Rune Factory English Voice Actors/Actresses:
I’m a huge fan of Rune Factory. It seems sort of niche bc when I ask other gamers (I’m a casual gamer, don’t ask me to be on any teams 😂) about it they don’t really know what it is. One of the things I love about is is how they get these huge voice actors for the games, which seem so small (but I know it isn’t, it’s sold hundreds of thousands of copies)
WARNING: ONLY ENGLISH VOICES ARE COUNTED HERE. I’M DOING THIS FOR MYSELF AND WHAT I KNOW. I MAY DO A JAPANESE VERSION.
Raguna (Rune Factory and Rune Factory: Frontier) is Vash the Stampede, Ichigo from Bleach, Sabo from One Piece, and Nero from Devil May Cry
Mist (Rune Factory and Rune Factory: Frontier) is Haru from Persona 5
Bianca (Rune Factory and Rune Factory: Frontier) is Saya from Blood+ (I didn’t see that one coming)
Tabatha (Rune Factory and Rune Factory: Frontier) is Mima from Perfect Blue and Rem from Trigun
Iris (both of them, RFF) is Rukia from Bleach and Yuki from Haruhi Suzumiya
Anette (RFF) is Starfire (and Blackfire!) from Teen Titans and Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time
Raven (RF3) is Amy Rose from Sonic Boom
Electra (Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny) is Annie from Attack on Titan (didn’t see this one coming either)
Bacchus (RFTOD) is Vampire Hunter D (and D’s left hand!) (loved this one)
Vishnal (Rune Factory 4) is Leonardo from the 2003 Ninja Turtles cartoon and Kappa Mikey
Clorica (RF4) is Shiki from The World Ends With You
Xiao Pai (RF4) is Jenny from My Life As A Teenage Robot
Doug (RF4) is Sasuke from Naruto
Margaret (RF4) is Hinata from Naruto, Kyrie from Devil May Cry and Orihime from Bleach
Forte (RF4) is Abbey Bominable from the first Monster High cartoon
Amber (RF4) is Morgana from Persona 5
Dolce (RF4) is Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist (this one actually makes sense), Maka Albarn from Soul Eater and the female protagonist of Persona 3
Frey (RF4) is Gaz from Invader ZIM
Ares (Rune Factory 5) is SwaySway from The Breadwinners
Scarlett (RF5) is Retsuko from Aggretsuko, Akko from Little Witch Academia and Ryuko from Kill La Kill
Lucy (RF5) is Loona from Helluva Boss and Emira Blight from The Owl House
Martin (RF5) is Louis from Beastars
Cecil (RF5) is Hunter from The Owl House and Remy from Big City Greens
Ryker (RF5) is Trebol from One Piece (also, also did not see this coming)
Livia (RF5) is Rebecca from One Piece
Misasagi (RF5) is Tatsuki from Bleach
Rudolph (RF5) is Mugman from The Cuphead Show!
Yuki (RF5) is Beauty from Bobobo-Bo Bo-bobo
Darroch (RF5) is Jelly Jiggler from Bobobo-Bo Bo-bobo (which brings back memories and makes actually a lot of sense)
Radea (RF5) is Reiju from One Piece (also makes sense)
Gideon (RF5) is Griffon from Devil May Cry and Scratchmen Apoo from One Piece
SHARED VOICE ACTORS/ACTRESSES
Lara (RF1 and Rune Factory: Frontier), Eunice (RFF) and Maerwen (from Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny) have the same voice actress (and are Kitana and Mileena from Mortal Kombats 9 and X)
Melody (RF and RFF) and Sonja (Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny) have the same voice actress
Carmen and Shara (both Rune Factory 3) have the same voice actress and is Triela from Gunslinger Girl
Rosetta (RF and RFF) and Beatrice (Rune Factory 5) have the same voice actress
Nancy (from RF4) and Hina (from RF5) have the same voice actress who’s also Kikimora from The Owl House
Ventuswill and Lin Fa (both RF4) and Selphy (RFF) have the same voice actress who’s also Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop
Micah (Rune Factory 3) and Bismarck (RFTOD) have the same voice actor who is also Ling Yao from Fullmetal Alchemist and Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tail
Violet (RFTOD) and Priscilla (RF5) have the same voice actress
Lily and Sierra (both RFTOD) have the same voice actress
Pandora and Quinn (both RFTOD) have the same voice actress
James (RFTOD) and Leon (RF4) have the same voice actor who’s also Law from One Piece and Levi from Attack on Titan
Dylas and Bado (both RF4) have the same voice actor
Arthur and Jones (both RF4) have the same voice actor who is also Donatello from the 2003 Ninja Turtles cartoon
Father Gerard (RFF) and Heinz (RF5) have the same voice actor who’s also adult Gohan from Dragon Ball Z and Kiba from Naruto
Cinnamon (RFF) and Fuuka (RF5) have the same voice actress who is also Marinette from Miraculous Ladybug and Verosika Mayday from Helluva Boss
Simone and Julian (both RF5) have the same voice actress who’s also Ash from Pokémon and April from the 2003 Ninja Turtles cartoon

✨️ hello, hello !! you can call me ivy and i'm activly looking for long term rp partners! i'm 26 and i'll only write with those that are 21 or older. so far i've mainly written on tum.blr but i'm okay with trying out disc.ord rp too! i love, love, love getting to know my partners ooc, gushing about ships, writing, movies, anything and i just know it helps me tremendously with my muse.
right now, i'm really looking for some fluff and/or angst fxm plots! usually my muse leans more towards writing females but i'm more than glad to double if my partner wants to. some fc that i absolutely adore for opposites are oscar isaac, joel kinnaman, ben barnes, jon bernthal, pedro pascal, jake gyllenhaal, rebecca ferguson, adeline rudolph and honestly, so many more. i love writing crime plots, sci fi, slice of life and i don't mind age gap plots.
if any of the things i said are for you, hmu if you're interested ✨️✨️

So, I think it's time to show my artwork on this pairing. There are not many of drawings, because every time I draw these cuties, I'm a little shy and overwhelmed with feelings >///<
The first work is generally the first thing I drew after a very long artblock, so it's a little oblique meh. I've worked on it many times, so I hope it's not particularly noticeable.
They are a very touching couple, and even if there were few of them, they left the brightest mark in my heart. Let them be happy at least here...
In general, they fascinated me so much that of my three AU, two are dedicated to them (and not that they had a happy ending, but that's not important). I enjoy, in general
