Órgãos sociais da TCP tomam hoje posse em Coimbra

Acontece hoje, dia 1 de setembro, na Sala Conventual do Convento São Francisco, em Coimbra, a tomada de posse dos órgãos sociais da Entidade Regional de Turismo do Centro de Portugal (TCP) para o período de 2023-28. A Comissão Executiva da TCP, eleita a 26 de julho último, será presidida por Raul Almeida, sendo a Assembleia-Geral dirigida por Pedro Machado. A tomada de posse contará com a presença do Secretário de Estado do Turismo, Comércio e Serviços, Nuno Fazenda, assim como o presidente do Turismo de Portugal, Carlos Abade, e o presidente da Confederação do Turismo de Portugal, Francisco Calheiros, entre outras individualidades. Pedro Machado termina funções como presidente da ERT Turismo do Centro O presidente cessante da Turismo Centro de Portugal, Pedro Machado, destacou a consolidação da marca “Centro de Portugal”

como um dos legados dos seus mandatos, que ontem (31 de agosto) terminou, 17 anos após ter tomado posse pela primeira vez, precisamente em 01 de setembro de 2006. Reeleito em 2008, 2013 e 2018, Pedro Machado estava impedido de nova candidatura devido à limitação de mandatos. “Tem sido, quer público, quer em muitos fóruns reconhecido, aquilo que foi o trabalho que fizemos de construção e consolidação da marca ‘Centro de Portugal’. (…) Foi, essencialmente, um trabalho de sermos capazes de agregar”, disse Pedro Machado, adiantando que foi possível construir uma marca somando os ativos da região, “nunca dividindo, nunca diminuindo” as submarcas. Segundo Pedro Machado, a consolidação resulta “da fusão de várias marcas”, que “não extinguiu, antes pelo contrário”. “A marca ‘Centro de Portugal’ é um agregador. Ela tira partido desta diversidade”, declarou, exemplificando com a serra da Estrela, as regiões de Aveiro, Coimbra, Viseu-Lafões, Leiria, Fátima, Oeste, Beira Baixa ou Beira Interior, e admitindo que “talvez tenha sido esse o maior sucesso”.
