watching “The Laughing Merman” from like Hilda season 3 and the moment i realized the fish dude could do shadow puppet and illusion hallucination magic crud i was like “omg this reminds me of marmalade what”
RAMBLE:
anyway so i’m gonna ramble bc i go crazy every time i see anything that reminds me of my ocs lol
Marmalade can do shadow manipulation magic bc he’s a Manespectling, creatures of the shadows who burn in the sunlight to death. He can also suck others into an hallucinatory visual space where his magic can create images and 3d objects and creatures based on what he wants to exist there. the dude from that episode can do many of the same things and his personality and voice are quite literally the embodiment of Marmy and i thought that was really funny. although i did not know he existed until today , the fish dude, lol
he has inspired more Marmalade concept art sooooo i’ll be getting to that now ✌🏻

info: they are moth ppl fused w ungulates and lizard/bird/dragon thing?? they r obsessed with makeup (specifically nail polish and eyeliner) and music. the urban communities live in a city they stole from the humans a while ago (wip) and the rural community live in a kingdom, the most well known one being Spectown. guys are known for being more flairy and wearing more colorful stuff and makeup yk. girls are more muted colors. but ofc these can be different for the individual.

Flaverians are the cool species of Ramfloris. They came directly from moths. Well i mean the Tamtwa moths (vessels of the deceased Ramflorian souls cared for by Lymaia). but they’re kinda like the inklings of Ramfloris ig. except they stole everything from the humans directly like they took a city and made it theirs and are in love with makeup and music which is a part of their culture. yeahhhhh
also they design their clothes after different moths.
