Went on a little ride alone today. Ponied Scipeo and rode Luke. Was a nice walk trail, didn't want them to sweat with the cold air and early nights. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Very relaxing.
Pine Creek Gorge, aka Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Biked 18 miles on the rail trail, creekside; then drove up to Colton Point for the view. Not much color yet, but always beautiful, no matter the season.
Had a look at the contrustion along our rail trail and it looks like they have a nice foundation/vault made for a cross river pumping station. I'd say the east side will be getting some forece main.
The 24 mile Bayshore Bikeway takes you from downtown San Diego to the Coronado Ferry.
We thought it was 24 miles round trip, but it was 24 miles ONE WAY. We opted not to take the ferry back. I think it took us a total of 6 hours for the entire trip.
I wish I took more photos of the mounds of salt in front of the salt factory and the beautiful, historic Coronado, and the delicious Mac'N Cheese sandwiches we ate at the food truck rally, but I was exhausted.

There is a business flagpole becoming a roadside landmark symbol and a great little animation museum worth a visit, even the grounds and parking lot is fun to check out. There is also a converted rail trail between the two site to let the kids run/bike around.

Study finds 104-mile rail trail connecting Northampton-Boston would generate millions, increase health
Construction work being done on the Belchertown end of the Norwottuck Rail Trail at Station Road on Thursday afternoon.
"By the end of this decade, if not sooner, bicyclists will be able to hop on the rail trail at the J. Elwell Conservation Area in Northampton, cross the Connecticut River, and travel across the state 104 miles on the same path all the way to Boston."
