i think you’re forgetting that till got to top 2 on his own merits even with his rebellious personality and him literally running away from attempts to market him. he dropped heavily from the rankings for killing freddie the alien guitar and STILL managed to make a comeback, only losing to the previous champion. saying that he “only won because ivan threw his round” is such an insult to his skills. i don’t deny that ivan’s sacrifice secured till’s victory, but that doesn’t mean till isn’t a strong competitor in his own right. ivan’s stunts definitely hindered his own score, but that doesn’t change the fact that till still got 89. im not arguing that till will beat luka, im just thinking you’re underestimating till

Oh I completely agree that Till has a very good chance under normal circumstances, but. Till stopped singing before Ivan threw his mic to the ground and started assaulting him to distract the audience—us and the aliens—from that, so I think it's pretty clear that Till was trying to lose (or at least not trying to win) and probably wouldn't have gotten such a high score if Ivan didn't cause a distraction, because the aliens would definitely have noticed that he wasn't singing. Like I said in the tags of the post, I think Till's singing is obviously very good in the song, I just think Till was also very obviously engaging in passive suicide by making it clear he's not trying to win (I'd argue he was actively trying to lose by stopping his singing before the song is over).

That's why I said the only way he won was because Ivan threw his round—not because he didn't have enough skill and charisma by himself, but because he had disengaged from the performance by literally not singing, and the aliens would've noticed & punished him for it if Ivan didn't flip from "obedient show dog" to "rabid dog" on stage. (Again, to be clear, the "rabid dog" comparison is from the aliens' perspective; we, the human audience, have access to their interiority and care about them for more than their function as performers.)

(That said, the audience in-universe did not notice Till stopped singing, so you're right that alien audiences would've anticipated a closer fight than what I've said in the tags I assume you're responding to. I do think the win would be complicated by the fact that imo quite a lot of aliens in both camps see it as an unsatisfying win? For Ivan fans obviously, but for in-universe Till fans, their boy's win is gonna be tainted by "his opponent went crazy and attacked him." I'd imagine in-universe fans are having similar discussions to what we're having now, which is completely intentional—it's pretty obvious that ALNST is a critique of the irl idol industry/elimination style tournaments, and we're intended to be the aliens in this scenario, albeit ones who have some access to their inner lives.)

Now onto Till vs Luka. I think we all want Till to beat Luka, or at least put up a good fight, but. Will Till really bounce back/regain his fire, or did Ivan's sacrifice only compounded the fact that he lost someone else, and that he'll keep losing—both in the sense that he'll keep losing people he cares about, and also in the sense that there's no real victory under this oppressive system? Given his actions in R6 (i.e. stop singing when the song is ongoing), I think Till's final rebellion would be a quiet thing—to just not perform from the start and refuse to give the aliens a show.

Tldr: Till is a very strong performer. I just also think Till would've lost in R6, not because he wasn't "good enough" in his own right, but because he disengaged from his performance in what would've been a pretty dang obvious way bc i think he just wanted an escape/wanted it to end.

Going into R7, I'm honestly not sure if Till even wants to 'put up a good fight' against Luka anymore, or if he'd rather be free and spite the system by denying aliens of what they wanted from him by not engaging at all. It'd be cool to see Till beat Luka, but I'm having trouble seeing how he'll do that: while he has the skills to at least come close, idk if he's in the right headspace to want that.

‘So this is Earth’, she thought to herself as she stepped through the abandoned streets, sticking to the shadows of the tall buildings.

She gazed at the Archaean sprawl littering the walls and the streets, and then at the rubble

‘What a mess. I hope that the civilian evacuation was quick’

She feels Dynar shift before it shrouded her in invisibility.

‘What’s wrong? What do you see?’, she thinks to Dynar, as she quickly scans her surroundings. 

She feels Dynar direct her further down the street, stepping carefully to not make noise. When she pauses to let a tormentor pass, a gust of wind carries a scent to her.

It was different. Where the Archaean infestation smelled of otherworldly rot, this new smell was one that felt like it belonged to this planet. But it also carried the scent of fear. And of blood.

She felt herself moving with urgency towards the scent. Finding a small crowd of Archaeans trying to break into a decrepit building, she decides to slip into a neighboring building before Dynar’s invisibility wanes.

She goes up to a window and watches.

‘It looks like they’re trying to get inside… don’t tell me that there are still people in the area’

She scans the building for possible entrances, getting concerned with how the building looks like it may collapse if too much were to happen. She knows that smashers were seen in the area, and if she were to attract the attention of one of those, she’d be in big trouble.

She felt Lycath and Raksh bickering on how to slay and feast on the Archaeans, disrupting her focus.

She was about to tell them to be quiet when she felt Ulfrun silence them, before guiding her attention to the roof of the building that the Archaeans were surrounding.

‘Alright, let’s do it’

She made her way up to the roof and walked to its edge. Her building was shorter, but it was close enough to jump to the fourth floor of the other building. 

She spotted a window missing its glass pane.

‘Dynar, lend me your strength’

She feels its strength course through her body, and she jumps.

Those fleeting seconds in the air were exhilarating, and the closest she’ll ever be to any creature of the sky.

And then she threads herself through the window for a rolled landing.

It didn’t take long for her to adjust to the darkness, the room was more or less what she expected. Just,cleaner? No, it looked like people would’ve come back home at any moment, despite the dust and disrepair from the weather. It was eerie how everything was still organized.

She wandered the rooms until she found a way out of the apartment. She made sure to avoid walking on the center of the hallways as she made her way to some stairs.

The last thing she wanted to do was make noise.

The moment she landed on the third floor, the scent of fresh blood hit her like a brick. If it weren’t for her being a Tenno, she’d be nauseous by now.

She slowly made her way to the source, with the help of her wolves, as well as the blood trail that she found along the way. The smell was overpowering as she got to the door. There was a smeared handprint on it.

She hesitates, just for a moment, before pushing the door open.

She sees two figures, and one of them moves.

And she's staring down the barrel of a gun, with two piercing grey eyes behind it.

The Idea of someone like Aisha finding out the Seaborn live in a society that is essentially a terrifying and Dark Utopia or Musa finding out that Yan is so Fragmented that they face Demons litterally Everyday and the only place you could have so called 'Peace' is Lungmen or even develop on their Story and let Tecna find out Ursus is really like Zenith but dark and twisted sense.

These characters live in a good Vs Evil Setting now I want them in a place that it's so morally grey that the Characters of Winx Club would Question on how the people live their lives here, considering the Oripathy litterally kills people cause it's Terminal Disease, so Bloom would feel utterly useless at this situation.

So that the only thing they could ever do is to quell whatever situation and bring them comfort.

Tell me what would you want to add if such a Random Crossover would happen? Other than it being Non Canon, of course.

Here is a Long-ish rant abt what I was reminded of when I finally got this card. Just things about lore and feeding fans that I would beg Riot to look into. If they tell me that it’d make the game less profitable and thus less valuable to them, then sure, whatever, but at least they would’ve considered it in that scenario.

So Rainbow 6 Siege has these little comics called siege stories that portray the agents either in their everyday life or on the field in a mission. And I’d say the style is similar to the one for the cards. I want those types stories to show up in Valorant too. Or something similar. I’ll even take 1k word short stories if it means we are able to see the personality behind the agent once an act or smth, you know? Not just the big cinematic at the end of an ep. And the voicelines are great, don’t get me wrong the attention those writers put in is super cool, and the fact that we can infer parts of their personality in one or two liners is a testament to their skill, but having more and seeing more interaction would help those interested in the lore and characters beyond just game mechanics to find more to hold onto and might make the fanbase larger or more eager with their ideas and artwork. I know it’s not fair to compare to League that’s been around 12? years now? But those ppl are crazy w the lore and the multiple universes and who’s connected to who, and we don’t have that in Valorant (yet). Idk, it would be fine, better even, if they weren’t lore related. Show us how Jett surprises ppl w good food, and show us how many prototypes KJ must go through to have a fully functioning potentially AI robot. Just things that don’t impact your overall story and yet give us a better understanding of the characters and just how complex they are because I refuse to believe that anyone is just a one note person in this world, yet there are Agents that are pushed into those categories. I’m guilty of feeling that way about Sage. Even with the release of the blackmail files, I still felt like she was too much of a Chinese stereotype that I didn’t like, but at least I could see pathways around that. So, anyways, I know it’d be more work for an unknown amount of fans, but it’d be nice.

Just, please don’t do what R6S did and throw things at the fans that were to be taken as cannon and yet had plot holes, dead ends, and endless retcons. The narrative building up is good, with no real “right” side. Don’t blindside us with anything and I think we’d take just about any official content released.

1: Jade Helm! This fic will hold a place dear in my heart. It was the first fic I was actually nervous to post because I wasn’t sure if people would like it since R6S has a lot of canon x canon ships and mine was an oc x canon one. Little did I know it did a lot better than I thought and people really do enjoy it. I also just love writing it, I love telling the story and I love writing for Tachanka and Skylar! This fic has done more for me than I can admit and I’m very happy I haven’t lost the spark to continue it. 

2: You’re My Favorite! This one is just a comp of Skylar and her boys (Tachanka, Glaz, Kapkan & Fuze) but I’ve had a lot of fun writing them in different scenarios. 

3: My Gift Is You! This started off as a one-shot of Ghost with his infant daughter, now it turned into a comp of Ghost and his little family. I’ve had a lot of fun writing Ghost as a loving father (and husband). It beats the horrors that man has faced in his past and to have him being happy is more fun.

4: When The World Falls! I’ve had this fic idea in my head a year before I even started writing it, and now that I’ve started it it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders (even if the updates come slowly).
