literally how I feel every time I look at art books…. like ugh I love them but also. reproductions can never compare to actually seeing paintings in person. one of the great tragedies of life 😔

"gays are stealing from lesbians" "aces are stealing from gays" "transes are stealing from everyone" absolutely convinced white queers learned about cultural appropriation and decided it could be applied to sexuality and gender and it became entrenched becuz ppl are fucking obsessed with gatekeeping and exclusionism
besties, we are all in the alphabet soup together. the lines between us are blurred as hell. we are not stealing, we are inspired. our culture is bright and beautiful and a street fair that everyone trades at. quit being so goddamn individualistic and embrace the community. it's the only way we have solidarity

Comfort movie: Probably Princess Mononoke, I watched it a lot when I was a kid.
Comfort food: Spaghetti or pad thai. A good curry is nice too.
Comfort clothing: tank tops! I wear a lot of them for sensory reasons and dysphoria reasons (makes my arms look bigger) but also bc I'm so small that a lot of clothing fits kind of weird around the shoulders.
Comfort book: I return often to the LOTR, specifically the Two Towers which I remember rereading constantly when I was younger.
Comfort song: Changes very often but at the moment it's Borderline by Ásgeir! I find it very relaxing to listen to on repeat.
Comfort game: Dragon Age: Origins or Skyrim, both of which I've played so many times I've almost memorized them. Origins always makes me laugh and despite the clunky combat it holds a better narrative and more charm than most newer ones to me. Skyrim is an obvious choice despite the lack of real narrative choices because it's just really fun to be immersed in that world so completely for a while :]

after watching c*alamity - the absolute best gdamn thing i've ever seen - it inspired me to start writing a wee thing of my own. it's planned to be serialised eventually on my writing blog, Tales of Devran and Others.
The scream that rent the mountains would in time have spawned cryptids and legends if it had survived the day. Instead the canyon left in its wake was fled. A whisper of sinners and a surge of cults were its legacy. Terror of the Gods and their whims scarred hearts across generations and the wild places of the world were abandoned for fear of offending some primordial power. But there was nowhere safe from the fury of the Earth Mother.

marcus. i will be fully real with you. i didn't realize, for way too long, that "brother guy" was like. his actual name. i thought it was some meme-y fandom in-joke nickname yall used. i didnt realize that his name was just. guy. and that brother was his title. i thought it was like, oh that's a guy (generic male) who's a brother (familial relation). i felt so silly when i realized he had a normal ass name that real men have and was also like, a priest. i thought it was a JOKE 😭

hey, so. if you're planning to watch lok, i thought i should tell you, korra, the indigenous mc, goes through a lot of really intense trauma over the course of the show and the finale culminates with her making peace with it becuz she "had to learn compassion". this understandably upset a lot of viewers and i figured you'd want to know before going into it
You and like four other people have given me heads up on some things in LoK and I really appreciate knowing a head of time, so I am prepared to see it, you know? So thank you, cause yikes that sounds like it could get uncomfortable.
Like, part of the reason The Puppetmaster episode is still sticking to me is just because I was so not expecting... all that. (I am still planning on writing about it, but I don’t just want to talk about why I very much disliked the episode, I want to try and rewrite it.)

for the most part, dimitri doesn’t actually use an eye mod! (I play on console, so no mods lol) I most just edited in the dark sclera and his blinded eye with photoshop
but when I’ve gotten cinamatic ones done, I’ve had ppl use a mod for his eyes. It was a holloween one I think? it’s both the black sclera and blinded eyes

Last Movie/Show: i showed my boyfriend "hudson hawk" last night because we were bored at hell and trying to find something to watch and it popped up on hulu. my dad had shown it to me before and i thought it was ridiculously campy so i thought it would be fun. didn't remember it having so many fatphobic jokes though my god
Sweet/Spicy/Savory: generally sweet, never spicy, but god i love savory foods
Relationship Status: it'll be 8 months with my bf in 3 days :)

Current Obsession: i suppose bg3 counts as that? wouldn't consider myself "obsessed" but i have been playing a lot and enjoying thinking about my characters. okay well maybe i am a little obsessed lmfao leave me alone
Last Book: genuinely i think the last book i read was. forever ago. and that was "the traitor baru cormorant" by seth dickinson. and that book. is not for the lighthearted. sobbed so hard and when i tried to read the sequel it made me so physically upset i almost hurled. very good book though
Looking Forward To: my rewrite is dropping tomorrow!! and i'm also looking forward to whatever writing i can get done this year :)
