really tired of seeing characters made tranquil to create angst for another character. yes the rite of tranquility is horrific but once someone is tranquil they're still a person. they still have their own thoughts and opinions. they can even argue their own personhood, like owain does. seeing a tranquil character being portrayed as an empty shell so another character can grieve over it,, it rubs me the wrong way

hello im alive again !! a lot of. crazy things happened recently but i stayed strong and produced more fenhawke ‼️ fenhawke as pirates to be specific !!! i can not believe I haven't connected my two biggest interests (dragon age and pirates) before but. better late than never ig so! hope you guys like it

#for me. it really really highlights that the wardens are insane opportunists and will do what it takes to give them the edge#like there's iirc no indication that after bryce says no duncan was still asking about recruiting younger cousland#but the second bryce is dying and needs something from duncan it becomes leverage#recruiting the children of the most politically important people in a kingdom is a great way to ensure your group isn't left in the dirt#theoretically anyway. like loghain can still Do That.#but i've also always liked the theory that yeah alistair was sent to ishal to be kept safer#and the same can apply to cousland (via @couslande)

the thing about the cousland origin, to me, that sometimes turns me off it completely and sometimes intrigues me, is that it says something completely different about who duncan is, what he wanted, and what the grey wardens are
