im fairly certain these screenshots are out of order. i am not going to put them in order

absolutely wild to put this dagcup-ass pose in the same episode as dagur and mala's engagement. like we dont see dagur and mala's actual proposal moment but we see this. (and im not complaining)

also - can we appreciate the autumn colours in these shots? damn

hehe I love Snotlout's grumpy little "shut up" responses

Hiccup once again being extremely relatable when he's struggling to understand how he's supposed to respond to Astrid's frustration. Just straight up asks "what would you like me to say?" Honestly...people should just say why they're upset or what they want you to notice. And tbh I felt like Astrid was a little out of character in this episode. I feel like it would have made more sense for her to be upset but she would keep it bottled up inside because she *didn't* want Hiccup to notice.

I understand where Astrid is coming from, but I strongly believe that what Hiccup and Astrid have is stronger and more stable than Dagur and Mala's relationship - not just because they've known each other longer, but because I just think the fact that they're comfortable with each other is a better indication than the life or death intensity of Dagur and Mala's attraction. That intensity is going to lessen at some point and if they don't learn how to adjust after the rose-tinted lens honeymoon period, things will not go very well.

(hence the dysfunctional dagur/mala dynamic ive referenced briefly before in a fic and that I will focus on in more depth in other fics)

Extremely bold of Krogan to say this while said "friends" are nearby

Have i mentioned before that I love Dagur? I love him. Watching him rile Krogan up was so good.

Also...correct me if I'm wrong, but Dagur doesn't interact with Viggo after his redemption, right? I think it would be interesting to see whether Dagur would trust him or not.

this scene had me giggling and kicking my feet ngl

and again - Astrid got cut off before finishing her though but they really don't have to be like Dagur and Mala. The level of comfort and familiarity Hiccup and Astrid have is wonderful.

I wanna see Viggo interacting with other chiefs. How he'd show an equal respect, how he'd look at them if he found them to be lesser and only equal by law, how he'd go about the whole hunting business thing with a tribe who maybe didn't give a shit. Peace treaties, ect. I wanna sit him down with a chief with intelligence not quite enough to rival his but enough to have earned his respect. I wanna see more Stoick & Viggo interactions. Viggo and Mala.

One thing I can't get over is that when the riders had to stay at Defenders of the Wing Island and were all really bored and stuff-

The one thing Queen Mala asked Snotlout to do, knowing that it would cheer him up, was to help the island children with battle practice. (Or something like that)

I cant get over the fact that-

Mala knew Snotlout could be trusted with kids and keep them safe

She knew that he would be cheered up because of the kids

She knew that the kids would enjoy hanging out with Snotlout

this just further proves that Snotty is good with kids- both baby dragons and children. Especially since, I cannot stress this enough, Queen Take No Shit Mala thinks so too.

Yes, I will draw them. Someday… I promise

I'm starting from the idea that the 4 nations aren't completely divided, and that benders of the 4 elements live together, as in the case of Berk, although the most common are firebenders. It's become a big mix and that's why it's harder to know who will be the next Avatar

Hiccup: The Avatar. However, when he was born, apparently, He didn't bend any of the elements, considered a nonbender, until find out he's the Avatar.

Astrid: Waterbender. Yes, again using the blue outfit as justification, but I also think water suits her. She and Katara would be besties.

Fishlegs: Earthbender. What I like about earthbending is that it's a completely opposite element to his personality, he's a kind and adorable guy, while earthbending is hard and offensive. But it completely suits him too, because he's protective and strong, and he likes gardening. Bonecrusher likes it for sure

Snotlout: Firebender. Do I really need to explain about this?

Tuffnut and Ruffnut: Airbenders. They're both airheads, so. But seriously, I think the air really suits them, how much they would mess around. Just look at Tenzin's children, or even Aang himself.

Heather: Nonbender. For me, she would be like Asami (and Astrid could be Korra, I'm just saying). Strong and powerful without needing to bend. She would be good with weapons but would also use technology.

Dagur: Firebender. Honestly, it's the most offensive element and it can create lightning, do you want more explanations? But also, I like the idea of him being a Nonbender like his sister. Like, being an heir, they expected him to be a powerful bender, but he ended up disappointing his family and people. So he went through such heavy training that it ruined his psychology.

Mala: She and the entire Defenders of the Wings tribe are Nonbenders. A tribe that lives isolated and without any benders, having a certain repudiation for them, until they meet the Avatar and his gang.

Atali: She and the Wingmaidens are also Nonbenders, but they would be more like the Kyoshi Warriors. Or they could also be like Gliders, so they could "fly".

Now some that I'm just going to throw here and won't comment on

Stoick, Spitelout and Gustav: Firebenders

Gobber: Non or Earthbender (especially Metalbender)

Gothi: Waterbender

Viggo: Non or Waterbender (especially Bloodbender. Thanks @reallyprofoundkryptonite for the idea)

Ryker: Earth or Firebender

Krogan: Fire or Nonbender

There're a lot of characters missing, but I can't think of anyone else right now. The main ones are here. Feel free to give your opinions and headcanons.

So I’m looking at Mala to see how tall she is and realizing I never did think much of her height before and…

I’m getting two different heights here. So I’m gonna say Mala is like 2 inches taller than Hiccup(who is 6’1”) so she’s gonna be 6’3” now. Idk if I decided a height before but, I’ve decided a new height now.
