The upcoming Jewish festival of Shavuot (Pentecost) celebrates the Revelation at Mount Sinai. Appropriately, Israelis have been revealing more innovations and activities to benefit humanity.
Recent medical revelations include, why some Alzheimer's patients deteriorate more than others. Also, that a significant number of Parkinson's patients suddenly become creative. Sheba Medical Center is able to see patients without them coming to the hospital, while Wolfson hospital can see what's going on with cancer patients round the clock with Artificial Intelligent monitors.
Israeli technical innovations include a portable computer where the owner uses special glasses to reveal multiple pages of information, displayed in mid air. And an Israeli satellite system will reveal details of emergencies to international response teams.
Many institutional buildings were revealed during Open House Tel Aviv week; an Israeli swimmer revealed the location of a sunken Roman cargo ship; and a rare Mediterranean Monk seal has been revealed basking on an Israeli beach.
Many more recent international conferences, exhibitions and events in Israel have  revealed Israel's contributions to the world. They include Biomed Israel, EcoMotion Week, the International Writers' Festival and the March of the Nations.
The photo (as revealed by Sharon) is of the new pedestrian bridge suspended across the Hinnom Valley in Jerusalem, revealing a unique view of Israel's capital.

With 130 employees, Quantum Machines has become Israel’s largest startup in this space since its founding in May 2018. And it’s the only one making quantum control systems.
“The processors inside quantum computers are like strong muscles that have the potential to do a lot of things, but they cannot function without the brains — the quantum control system,” Knoll explains.
“The control system takes classic computing queries from the user and translates them into ‘quantumese’ for the quantum processor and then translates them back to classic language for the user.”
The QCC will have “a component-based solution with Quantum Machines’ technology in the middle, so any company from Israel or abroad that wants to test [its product] can come and plug into any quantum processor that’s out there,” says Knoll.
The system can be upgraded to accommodate yet-to-be-invented quantum technologies.
“The center will also include a quantum incubator to help develop the industry in Israel; and a quantum academy to provide the skilled workforce needed for the industry,” Knoll continues.
“Right now, quantum computing is a world of physicists, but we will also need a lot of programmers and engineers. This will enlarge Israel’s footprint in the market.”

Will a super computer help unlock a cure for cancer in the near future? Consider this: Google's latest quantum computer, 'Sycamore', completed a calculation in just 6 seconds—a task that would take 'Frontier', the world's most powerful supercomputer, 47 years to finish. Remarkably, Sycamore is 241 million times faster than the quantum computer Google introduced just in 2019. Mind blowing engineering and technology 🤯

marshmallow from annoying orange came out as non binary in the absolute best way possible.
hacked a quantum computer gone wrong to save everyone from a knife wielding robot gone wrong.
said the reason they could do it so easily was that “quantum computers are non binary, like me, i am non binary” and had the most surreal non binary educational segment at the end
none of this feels real. this is fantastic representation, one of the first major non binary character on an internet series, a huge milestone in more nonbinary acceptance.

Late last year, IBM took the record for the largest quantum computing system with a processor that contained 433 quantum bits, or qubits, the fundamental building blocks of quantum information processing. Now, the company has set its sights on a much bigger target: a 100,000-qubit machine that it aims to build within 10 years.

Thinking I might do a sporadic series of posts on cool science and engineering things thats sound/look like they should be from science fiction. So as the first entry: Sounds like Sci-Fi Quantum Computers Where a regular computer might use bits that are functionally either a 1 or a 0 to store and process data, a quantum computer instead uses qubits. Like a bit, a qubit can have a one or zero value but can also have a superposition state, not a one or a zero. Think of the famous Shrodingers cat thought experiment, the cat can be considered both dead and alive until observed, the third state of a qubit is a bit like that, both a one and zero and neither a one and zero at the same time. An additional quantum magic is particle entanglement, whereby to qubits can be linked to effect each other based on a relationship. Due to this quantum computers are really good at solving complex relationships such as protein folding or mapping potential routes of subatomic particles.
The computer itself is pretty much a few chips however as it requires a superconductor to work, the whole system needs to be supercooled to about a hundrdth of a degree above absoloute zero (the lowest possible temperature), the cooling system makes the system about the size of a car. Most of the pipes seen in this picture are for coolant. I believe this picture shows Google’s Sycamore processor. It currently has 53 qubits and can acheive in 200 seconds, problems previously thought to take 10000 years to process.

Of Genious and Fools
Of Genius and Fools
Doctor Theobard Alconbury, from the Institute of Impossible Sciences, invented the Quantum Nexus. A device designed to alter probabilities, shift events, and rewrite destiny.
Some considered Alconbury a madman, while others ridiculed him. But he never stopped believing in his theories. In his darkest days, he remembers the visionaries who faced similar scorn. Those who were once dismissed as fools are now recognized as geniuses. This thought gave him hope, it let him persevere despite the disbelief of others. Now, after a lifetime of work, he just needed to press a button to prove his wisdom.
Alconbury stood before the big control panel in his underground lab. His peers watched with visible scorn. Nervously, he ran his hand through his messy gray hair. He took a deep breath and activated the Quantum Nexus. His eyes gleamed with excitement. The device glowed, casting eerie shadows on the walls. Alconbury's heart raced, vindication seemed nearby. But, instead of letting him hack reality, the Nexus flooded the room. Alconbury disintegrated and vanished. In that final moment, he saw that those who see themselves as geniuses are often fools.

Quantum computer Quantum ComputingClassical Computing Quantum Computers make use of the quantum computing approach. Classical Computers are used for classical computing.Data is stored in Qubits.Data is store in bits.It performs calculations on the basis of the object’s probability. It performs calculations in the form of binary digits. It can process exponentially more data.It can only process a…
