🇳🇱 "I hacked the Dutch Government and all I got was this lousy T-shirt"! This fantastic T-shirt (and the accompanying letter) is a reward for ethical hackers - all part of a genius initiative by the Dutch Government's National Cyber Security Centre to strengthen the Government's digital defences. They've literally rolled out a red carpet and invited ethical hackers to spot and report cyber vulnerabilities across Dutch Government websites and services. Their Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure (CPD) programme is a golden ticket for 'white hat hackers' to make the digital Netherlands safer, one bug at a time. "Ethical hackers" or "white hat hackers", are individuals who use their skills to protect and secure digital systems, networks, and data, rather than exploiting them for malicious intent. They often work to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in systems, much like a cyber criminal might, but they do so in order to fix these issues and strengthen defenses, not to cause harm. 🧱AR / AI Architect, Ian Curtis, reimagined the iconic Brick Breaker game in AR on his train ride into work today. 99% of this was entirely created by #chatgpt4 using the prompt: 'Please show me how to create a simple brick breaker game in an A-frame component for an 8th Wall AR experience. Please include a gradient of bricks in the color of the rainbow and a neon game border.' He quoted in his tweet: "I’m aware the game logic is quite simple, but the fact that this game can be built in AR by simply asking a question to #GPT4 is CRAZY." 3D augmented reality allows marketers and brands to unlock more value from existing outdoor signage / advertising campaigns. Like this  amazing collaboration between Tiffany & Co. and Italian digital artist, Pietro Terzini, at the Piazza Duomo store in Milan, Italy. In this example an existing billboard (over the top of construction hoarding) has been brought to life (as viewed through a smartphone) using 3D AR digital artwork created by the artist for Tiffany.

What can happen when your scribbles meet AI and WebAR 😲

Generative AI development is moving at warp speed and offers incredible opportunities in the AR space. In this experiment, software engineer, Stijn Spanhove, has brought his scribbles to life using a real world environment with just a simple prompt. To develop this prototype, Stijn used Stable Diffusion, ControlNet, a 360° Lora and 8th Wall's Sky segmentation.
