"In light of recent events, I wanted a name that is a touching tribute to the late Queen," James explained.

the ceremony was lovely. It happened to coincide with my regular 2-8AM shift so I was prepared (J made me coffee and found a livestream like an absolute mensch ♥️)
i made pink gins
And dressed in my most mournful sleep/house slob attire
and outfitted G in most appropriate onesie I could:
(Which tbf is more “prisoner” than “funereal”- maybe he’s some filthy anti-monarchist Republican??)
i couldn’t get my shit together so had PB&J sandwiches rather than egg and cress.
the service was quite touching, the pomp and ceremony on point, the fashion inspiring
(also shoutout to the BBC and CBC producers and cameramen for inventive use of candles to block out the Sussexes)
10/10 good funeral
it’s the end of an era :(

Moments from today, The Queen's funeral that squezed my heart extra tight:
Charlotte wearing a hat
Kate's hand on George and Charlotte, throughout the day keeping an eye on them, making sure they are alright
Anne checking on her older brother, Charles (the way she has been supporting her brother and not leaving her mother's side even now)
Anne looking up at her mother's coffin while entering Westminster Abbey
The processions being absolutely beautiful with the public paying their resepect and the bagpipes and military escort
Charles trying to keep it together during God Save the King
Ed looking so upset throughout the whole funeral
Sophie putting her arm around George, comforting him
Mike looking out for James
Anne saluting Charles
Savannah and Isla arriving to st. george's with Mike, Zara and Mia
The Queen's all children and grandchildren looking heartbroken
It was so beautiful and heart wrenching. It's still so hard to believe she is really gone. I hope this evening and in the coming days the whole family can relax, enjoy some privacy and draw strength from each other. I wasn't prepared for the amount of memories from Prince Philip's funeral it has brought up for me.
