Brief intro, again..
Tumblr media
Hi, im pustostanie, I get bored easily and have the tendency to delete or edit my own posts, reblogs etc. so if something you liked isn't here anymore, sorry, i probably let The Impulse win.
In fact even this intro is written cuz of boredom, and may be deleted or edited.. (i rly should learn some self control)
I post irregularly, mostly on topics like lgbtq, alterhumanity, my art, and some politics (does it even count? idk its just my opinions) and whatever else i feel like.
While Im not the most social, i dont mind being tagged or receiving asks. I may not answer comments if im not mentioned, cuz i never know when someone is talking to me if its not stated directly, but know that i appreciate them all, especially the funny ones.
☆ no specific DNI outside of if youre a yk, pedo or bigot or sth, then just know that if ure gonna be a bitch, i will bite :)
☆ tho I wont interact w blogs that post a lot about ed (thinspø etc), sh, substance abuse, or those that are overall very negative or anti recovery. (when its like THE focus..)
ah, and ps, i wont take part in syscourse, its not my place.
Posts that contain some sort of blog info will be under, you guessed it, '#blog info☆'
polls under '#yes a poll again'

Najmniej natomiast było was…
Najkrótszy gig daliśmy wykonując autorski soundtrack do gry Prince of Persia, a trwało to może z kwadrans, bo gracz znał kody i pouciekały nam levele.
To by trzeba wysondować.
W miarę po kolei: Koniu, Biki, Piotr Motyl, Michał Słodkiewicz, Drzazga, Tomek Suchar, Natalia Kruszelnicka-Guzy, Wojtek Jeżewski, Kuba Frank, Denis "Gazelle of Death" Aleksjejew i Filip Zakrzewski. Wszystkich naszych spożytkowanych i niespożytkowanych nagrań studyjnych dokonali za to: Koniu, Gwoździu, Ozram, Semir i Sasza, Piotrek Zabrodzki i Kajetan Worsztynowicz. Płyty wszystkich rozmiarów i kasety wydawali nam Michał z Oficyny Biedota, Filip z Trującej Fali, Marek z Qulturap, Janusz z Gusstaff Records, Tomek z Behind the Mountain, Frank z Gaffer Rec, Gert i Martin z Red Wig, Sirio z Jacob Records, Pascal z Et Mon Cul C'est Du Tofu?, Bartek i Tomek z Larmo Rec, Blaise z Bat Shit, Jeff z Sweet Rot, Karel z Korobushka, Clement z Dur et Doux. Dziękujemy!
Przed oczami przelatują ruchome obrazy, wszystkie materiały wideo (autorstwa Konia z Anitą, Janka Kozy, Catariny Santos, Dominiki Łabądź, Dagmary Cieślicy, Aleksandry Sende, Maćka Chodzińskiego, Łukasza Kamińskiego i Dariusza Skażyńskiego, Ani "Zet i dwa zera", Maćka Piątka, Platy), rysunki, projekty okładek, plakatów, grafik na koszulki autorstwa naszych przyjaciół, kurwsowych satelitów i artystów, których podziwiamy i szanujemy (Markus Färber, Kuba Zasada, Siehan, Ewa Głowacka, Iwona Jarosz, Karolina Pietrzyk, Pastuszka, Stachu Szumski, Janek Koza, Zimz, Maciek Salamon, Maciek Kułakowski, Gosia Małgorzata, Karolina Stanieczek, Emilka Konwerska), obrazy zastygłe na kliszach nadwornych i okazjonalnych fotografów: Maćka Bielawskiego, Kazika Ździebły, Pawła Starca, Roberta Szabli vel Bagneta, Katariny Mamontowej i Kuby Franka.
Byliśmy tu i byliśmy właśnie tacy. Do zobaczenia w nowych wcieleniach!

KURWS (2008 - 2023)
_____
How do you spell it? Something about reeling in the sails?
The sails too quickly rhyme with "each to himself a rudder and ship," and that's not what the Kurws were about. For us, it was 14 and a half years of exercise in cooling the egos, but also in getting out in front. From the first time we went down to the hall in May 2008, we caught breath after breath on hold and watched what was happening as we let the steam off. And it was happening: 4 albums, a split with Agathocles, side-projects Pustostany, Brian & Bryan, Gapacombo, participation in the "Do it Together" documentary, the Carnaval of Arts-Masters gala in Lublin, the Warto award - it wasn't any of us individually, it was ours together and had a dynamic that varied over the years. We were like Planeteers without Captain Planet, at other times the relay circulated between us, sometimes it fell, then someone picked it up again. Kurws were changing as we were changing by ourselves. As You may have guessed by now, the most recent change is the decision to disband.
We’ve played 346 concerts for you. The first one at CRK with the Zaklęty Krąg Biedoty, a year after our formation. The last one was in Kalambur, last month. You may call it Wroclaw loop. The farthest west it was stretched to Lisbon, east to Vladivostok, north to Tampere, Finland, and the farthest south to Kalamata, Greece.
The largest number of You were probably at the Stellar Swamp Festival in Brussels, or maybe at Primavera in Barcelona - in any case, you were the loudest and didn't let us off the stage. The first such spasmatic reception happened probably still at Hemliga Trädgården in Stockholm in 2012, although there weren't even a hundred of You. By contrast, the least number of you were... - hmm, it depends how You look at it. In Copenhagen in 2013 two people came down for our show, while the year before in Alingsås no one came to the Fabriken. Instead, there was the youth staff of the community center and the Mind Ghost sweeties, so we’ve supported each other.
The longest technical break during one concert lasted a year. The string beans, which our drummer was the only one to try on the day of our performance at Berlin's Fehre 6, led to the most rock’n’roll episode of our stage life. David was hanging bent over a plastic bucket after slipping off his chair during the march in "Triumph of the unwill." We reached the triumphant end fully spontaneously in 2016, using UZS gear. In Firlej in 2018 we also interrupted the piece, this time only for an hour. It was filled to the brim by 60 Minut Projekt, so that the epilogue "Tanz mit Kommune 1" was given us back. There was also a concert, when we played half as a trio and half with the late Oscar, who, hearing "Giants of Jazz", jumped over fences until he fell through the back door from the garden onto the stage of the Oval squat in London. He still caught a solo.
The shortest gig we gave was performing the author's soundtrack for the game Prince of Persia. It lasted maybe a quarter of an hour, because the player knew the codes and we’ve run out of levels. One must accept that too. Sometimes they run away. The longest gig? Maybe in Ljubljana at Metelkova after locals from Barka tone in bele plombe. An hour and a half. Enough.
The quietest was in Poznan's Kisielice: knobs turned down to 1, t-shirts on the drums, a sock in the saxophone. The loudest? That one is questionable. Were we the loudest because the god behind the mixing desk had his gesture, or perhaps by ourselves, resonating with the environment? We're quietly hoping for that resonance, because the environment was deeply in our interest.
We've toured together with Rank/Xerox, SJ Esau, 29.90, Målgrupp, LXMP, Can Can Heads, Pole (today Polonka), Ukryte Zalety Systemu (UZS), Sheik Anorak, Munnen, Matushka, Handle, Przepych, Mapa, Howie Reeve, Tzizifriki-a and with Zdrój - so much for the musicians, but those who held the car wheel are also very important. In fairly succession: Koniu, Biki, Piotr Motyl, Michał Słodkiewicz, Drzazga, Tomek Suchar, Natalia Kruszelnicka-Guzy, Wojtek Jeżewski, Kuba Frank, Denis "Gazelle of Death" Alekseev and Filip Zakrzewski. Filip also turned the knobs, as did Gert-Jan Polderman. All of our consumed and unconsumed studio recordings were made instead by: Koniu, Gwoździu, Ozram, Semir and Sasza, Piotrek Zabrodzki and Kajetan Worsztynowicz. Cassettes and records of all sizes were issued by Michał of Oficyna Biedota, Filip of Trująca Fala, Marek of Qulturap, Janusz of Gusstaff Records, Tomek of Behind the Mountain, Frank of Gaffer Rec, Gert and Martin of Red Wig, Sirio of Jacob Records, Pascal of Et Mon Cul C'est Du Tofu?, Bartek and Tomek of Larmo Rec, Blaise of Bat Shit, Jeff of Sweet Rot, Karel of Korobushka, Clement of Dur et Doux. Thank You!
Moving images, all video footage (by Koniu with Anita, Janek Koza, Catarina Santos, Dominika Łabądź, Dagmara Cieślica, Aleksandra Sende, Maciek Chodziński, Łukasz Kamiński and Dariusz Skażyński, Ana "Zet i dwa zera", Maciek Piątek, Plata), drawings, cover designs, posters, T-shirt graphics by our friends, kurws satellites and artists we admire and respect fly before our eyes (Markus Färber, Kuba Zasada, Siehan, Ewa Głowacka, Iwona Jarosz, Karolina Pietrzyk, Pastuszka, Stachu Szumski, Janek Koza, Zimz, Maciek Salamon, Maciek Kułakowski, Gosia Małgorzata, Karolina Stanieczek, Emilka Konwerska - this one is to You!), images frozen on film by our regular and occasional photographers: Maciek Bielawski, Kazik Ździebło, Paweł Starzec, Robert Szabla vel Bagnet, Katarina Mamontowa and Kuba Frank. As you can see, there was a lot of it besides the music itself. Behind all of this there were always supportive people. And it is to them, as well as to those who listened to us, came to the concerts and invited us to them, that we send a big heart, beating on a double kick.
Those who passed through the Kurws: Krzysztof Tokarczyk (sax 2009 - 2012), Wojtek Bajda (clarinets 2011 - 2012), Piotrek Zabrodzki (keyboards 2012 - 2015), Piotr Łyszkiewicz (sax 2013), Oskar Carls (sax 2012 - 2022) and Filip Zakrzewski (live mix 2021 - 2022).
We were a trio, a quartet, a quintet. We were here and we were just this. See you in the new incarnations!

Visit in Potem-o-tem theatre for the play “Don Kichot”, October 19th, 2023
On the 19th of October we did not have a lesson, as the whole MYP5 had gone to Potem-o-tem theatre to see the play “Don Kichot”.
A week later, on our lesson during the 26th of October we were supposed to write a review for this play, however since I had been absent on the day of our visit to the theatre, I wrote about “Pustostany”, which we had gone out to see on the 16th of October as a form of our polish lesson.

Lesson 6
On today’s lesson we drew a giant picture with limited communication abilities together, then each one of us drew a smaller one while simultaneously changing them between other people. Then we had a discussion about Literature and Theater. We argued what theater truly is, everyone had a different opinion. Meanwhile we criticized an art we have been on lately, called Pustostany. This time everyone agreed on one thing, it was not a good spectacle. Overall today’s lesson had a slightly different nature from the other ones.

On 26.10.2023 we had a lesson, which improved our integration. The first task we had to do was creating a group artwork that had to work together, without speaking at all. We managed to do that pretty well and our artwork turned out to be some sort of park with trees and animals. The next task also involved drawing, however this time we had 10 seconds to draw our favourite object. Then, we had to pass it to the next person, and they had to add something to our drawing. After some rounds the drawings came back to their owners with a totally different meaning (as everybody added a detail from themselves). After, we had to recreate those drawings in real life using our bodies. These tasks were very fun and we felt, that we integrated.
After the games we had a talk about two plays in theaters that we recently visited. I personally liked “Pustostany” more than “Don Kichot” so I will be describing it below. “Pustostany” was about the life of a woman who described her life to the audience. She showed her daily routines and how much she loves her hometown - Grochów.
Then, we talked about literature. Firstly we had to write everything that reminds us of the word “literature”, and then we discussed them. Then, we learned about poetry, dramas, comedies, and tragedies. Later we talked about theatre and how did it form in ancient Greece.

ATL: build consensus
1. We made a picture together without the ability to communicate which thought is to pay attention to others actions and adapt.
Tumblr media
2. Each of us drew our favorite thing and later we exchanged the paper in the group and everyone add something.
3. At the end we discussed on what literature is.
Donkiszot: Absent
Pustostany:
Szuka pracy, rozmyśla nad losem zmarłych sąsiadów i wiele więcej.
Niby wystąpienie o niczym a jednak mówi o praktycznie wsyztskim.

JANUARY - service
On the 27th of January me and my friends participated in a Habitat for Humanity action called "remontujemy pustostany". We spent 7 hours helping to renovate a flat in Bielany. Our tasks consisted of painting walls and assembling furniture.
This experience was a little physically demanding, but fun and it felt very rewarding. We knew our actions would directly help someone in the future.
I learned how to precisely assemble IKEA cupboards, how to prepare the area for painting a wall, and, most importantly, how to collaborate with other people on such projects.

JANUARY
Service
On 27th of January me and my friends participated in another charity action organised by Habitat for Humanity. This time we spent 7 hours renovating flat in Stare Bielany, the whole action is called “remontujemy pustostany”. The idea behind it is to renovate as many houses that are vacant and uninhabited and create living spaces for families in need. Our work was focused on small tasks such as painting the walls and putting together furnitures to put apartment
This experience was really rewarding. The feeling of directly helping somebody was really fulfilling. By helping with renovation of this flat I felt really appreciated, most importantly because I knew that the work I did made an actual impact and it was not only visible but also useful and valid for people that will live there in the future.
This experience was really helpful, because I learned how to apply many practical skills and helped me to appreciate the importance of collaborative work.

Review of “Pustostany”
On the 17th of November our whole year went to the Ochoa theatre to see the play named “Pustostany” directed by Hanna Kloszewska. The actors were teenage girls around our age, which I believe was very interested to see. I did not enjoy the play itself as in my opinion it was not interesting and too dynamic. However I did like the scenography, it was very plain and it made a great background for the play is it was not too intense. Even though I am not a fan of this play I believe it was worth seeing and experiencing a different type of theatre and plays I usually see and enjoy.

Recenzja spektaklu ,,Pustostany"
Spektakl ten dotyczył niczego a zaraz wszystkiego.

Play review of “Pustostany”
On monday, the 16th of October instead of our polish lesson we went out to see the play ‘Pustostany’, based on the book by Dorota Kotas, in Teatr Ochota.
The play takes place in Warsaw, Grochòw, which the main character describes as ‘the best city in Poland’, even though it is not a city at all. The play generally illustrates the reality of a girl who does nothing in life. She is unemployed, has no actual hobbies, and she does not enjoy social interaction at all, trying to avoid it whenever she can. It explores the unconventional nothingness that surrounds her life, kind of an answer to the question of what would it be if we did not do what society expects of us.
The stage consists of a group of girls who all switch places to play the same main character. They also comprise the scenery with one element, which is a booth that has most of their props inside.
The acting was alright, although it was not something that would linger in my memory for a longer while after the play. It was, however, unusual to see a group of people playing one character, and this procedure the actors did well.
There was definitely one thing that seemed out of context for the whole play, and it was the plot of sexual assault, which is often used in today’s media, even with purpose at all. It just felt out of place, and I believe there was no use in adding this to a story about a woman who does literally nothing in her life. This plot was not connected to the other ones in any way, and after its five minutes on stage it was not mentioned again at all.
The material elements of the production were minimalistic, mostly consisting of this one booth that was reused both as a home of the heroine and as every other building there was. I believe that using this one thing was quite unconventional, and made the play a bit more interesting. There were not many other elements that would make the play stand out, regarding the design of it.
Overall, it provided to be an interesting escape from everyday lessons, but it was not life-changing. Even though it showed an irregular view on life, it did not really make me question my perspective on living, and did not prove that life opposed to society norms would be better or more interesting.
