I kinda hate YuGiOh so much. I'm on master duel just trying to play my fun decks and half the time you get some meta deck I can't do anything against and the other half you get non-serious players using gimmick OTK decks just to quickly boost their ranking.

Sometimes you get a deck on par with yours, but even then a lot of those are stupid easy to beat.

YuGiOh is one of the only games I know of that consistently results in a state of "You Can't Win" within the very first turn of the duel. "Oh you negated that one essential card I needed? Guess you win, there's literally no point in even playing the game anymore."

"Oh you spent your first turn setting up a field of 5 monsters who can all negate card effects? Why am I playing this game again? Where's the fun in sitting there pretending like you even have a move to play?" It's a fucking gods-awful game, but it was formative for my childhood so I'm never going to give it up because no matter what it has transformed into I will always have fond memories of it.
