Yesterday, I discovered two prompt fills that Paola @mishervellous did for protective brother!Iggy asks (here and here). Good reads that you should check out!!

This got me thinking that I absolutely NEED Iggy to have been at the Gallavich wedding. From the morsels we saw in canon, he was unfazed by and accepting of Mickey being gay and Ian living there with them in the Milkovich house. He was missing from future episodes and we never saw him interact with Gallavich again, but I am headcanoning that he cared for Mickey and was happy to see his little brother get his life together and marry the love of his life, specifically that it's Ian whom he grew to care for while he lived with them (like Paola writes).

In my head, Iggy long fucked off to get away from Terry, sometime while Mickey was in prison in S6, but I'm choosing to believe that he snuck back into town for the wedding, unbeknownst to everyone. I can see him hiding in the back row during the ceremony and being emotional that these two crazy kids made it. Also, he's standing th there tearing up that his little brother who came from their fucked-up Milkovich family found this kind of forever love in spite of everything Terry did to him. He's up there showing the world being a Milkovich doesn't mean you're fucked for life.

I bet Iggy found some stealthy way to approach Ian and Mickey right after the ceremony to congratulate them in-person and give them some (possibly not 100% purchased) gift without being seen before he disappeared once again to avoid being discovered and made a clean getaway back out of town before he could be ratted out to the homophobic Milkovich clan (mainly Terry).

As a bonus to myself, I'm choosing to believe Iggy keeps in touch with Ian and Mickey afterwards, with them exchanging the odd text or letter or maybe even Christmas card.

Long story short, Iggy was at Ian and Mickey's wedding and that is a fact!

They’re sat on the couch facing each other, Mickey’s hands grasped tightly between Ian’s.

“My dad used to beat us on the regular. Did all kinds of fucked up shit to his kids. How do you know I’m not just gonna continue the tradition?”

Ian’s jaw is set. “Because you’re not Terry. Because I know you. Because I know you wanna be better than that. And you are, Mick. You’re so unlike him you might as well be a completely different fucking species.”

Mickey chuckles wetly, a tear escaping his eye.

He looks at Ian, nods.

They’re doing this. Together.
