Kenma with a sick S/O

A/N: I am so sorry for slacking, I try and reply to every comment and every message asap but my cold has come back (even though I thought it was gone) and has me feeling really under the weather as well as having so much school work to catch up on, I promise I read it all and it all makes me happy, as always, I love you all

WHen he sees you curled up on the bed with your nose pink and your eyes glossy he didn’t put two and two together and instead looked at you concerned, “what’s wrong with you” he questioned

You murmured out a little “nothing” and just by the scratchiness of your voice Kenma put two and two together

He didn’t know what to do with you so instead of cuddling up with you he ended up staying away from you nervous that you would get upset with him for getting too close but also for not being close enough

The first day he brought you cups of tea and little snacks and set them on your nightstand as you rested so when you woke up you knew that he had come in and checked on you Kenma also ran to the store while you were asleep and you woke up to three different types of medicine, a bag of your favorite snacks and a little teddy bear he no doubt thought that you would love

He tried to show his affection while trying not to get himself sick as well

That night he came into the bedroom after you had already fallen asleep and took care of the empty wrappers and refilled your water bottle for you before climbing in bed next to you

You woke up in the middle of the night coughing and instead of getting frustrated with you Kenma poured you more medicine and pulled you to his chest, stroking your hair and wincing every time you coughed

When you were finally asleep Kenma felt your forehead to make sure you didn’t have a fever before allowing himself to doze back off

When you woke up the next morning you somehow felt worse and you didn’t know how that was even possible

You wrapped your blanket around your shoulders as you went to go find Kenma

He was exactly where you expected him, sitting in his game room filming a new video for his channel. When he saw you he immediately dropped his controller and patted the spot next to him, you didn’t want to disturb him so you laid down on the other end of the couch and rested your legs on his lap

Kenma gave you a weak smile as you urged him to go back to his game

Every once and a while he would sneak a glance over at you and quirk his eyebrow as if to ask if you were okay, only after you nodded in affirmation did he go back to his battle

At one point you started coughing and you had never seen Kenam stop a game faster, he dropped his controller and went to sit you up so that he could rub your back before he went to go get you cough drops and herbal tea with honey to help soothe your throat, he sat rubbing your back for several minutes until the coughs had gone down, when they did he smiled at you and asked if you wanted to play anything with him because he was sick of whatever he was playing (he really wasn’t he just wanted you to feel like you could join him) and so when you agreed he turned on some random game he knew you liked and set it up so you could be on the same team together so that it didn’t get too competitive and so he could secretly keep an eye on you

You ended up playing for almost an hour before he caught you yawning a couple of times and subtly pushed you towards bed for a nap

Kenma was more worried about you than he would ever let on, after the first night he drew you hot baths with your favorite scents in them and would massage your shoulders when you got out and then rubbed your back until you fell asleep, he wanted to pamper you in hopes of at least keeping your spirits high

When he would hear you start coughing he was always by your side and making sure that you were okay, even a single cough in the middle of the night had him bolting upright in bed checking on you, and if you ever made a comment about this he would just brush you off and pretend like you hadn’t said anything because he wants to show you that he cares

He gives you the softest little forehead kisses as he pulls your head to his chest and just rests you there thinking about how much you mean to him

He tries making you soup but it ends up going poorly so he goes out and gets a premade mix instead and you like it just as much In the end Kenma ends up catching the cold you had and becomes the biggest baby ever, he doesn’t let you leave his side, when you get up he is up with you keeping his arms wrapped around your waist as he rests his head on your shoulders
