Regulus was so pathetic, standing behind the locker rooms after a quidditch match he didn’t play — just to catch a glimpse of James Potter.

He felt like he had been standing outside forever, crouched behind the building as every single player cleared out of the locker room except for James.

Regulus was about to give up, about to walk back to the castle himself, when a couple things happened at once. There was a sudden sound of water spraying from the showers, followed by the one sentence that had him finally running inside:

“You gonna join me, Black, or just keep standing out there?”

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

I remember she came off as so mean, cold and detached. And then I went to look up art of her and everybody portrayed her as a loving mum who's SO devastated over the fate of her children and I got SO confused?? Had to rematch her interactions with Ghost bc I thought I missed something LMAO, felt like i was being gaslighted for a hot second and didnt understood her character. But, honestly I wasn't crazy about her At All until I got back into Hollow Knight this year, like I just couldn't care less about her before, she didn't even exist in my mind and my AUs or any content I created of her (drew her Once when I was making concept art for FaaF and her fave wasnt even in the picture KDBDJDBD). The literally One Single Time I wrote about her was when I first made FaaF AU and she was SO awful there (both she and PK eventually got rewritten to be better parents, it works better story-wise)

Anyway I kind of got off track-

I really got into her character proper just this/last year when I got back into Hollow Knight. I still think she's mean but I love her for it, I support women's wrongs 💜 I think her character is interesting, I also think it's kind of wild that Ghost can just. Go and talk to their mum. Like that's just something they can do. And they can just keep coming back to her to show her stuff, like the flower. It's neat. Her actions are haunting the narrative but she's just kind of chilling there and doesn't give a fuck

My two favorite types of FFXIV fandom discourse posts (though probably applicable to most fandoms): 1. Call out post about a fictional character written as if they are a real life human being who has done these things IRL and also personally broke into the OP's home and kicked their puppy. Bonus points if the character isn't even a villain/antagonist. 2. "This character/glamour item/quest/storyline is problematic and if you enjoy it in ANY way, even if you are just unaware of the issues, you are a real life racist, rapist, misogynist, and fascist committing actual genocide and hate crimes, and I will personally harass you until delete all your social media, and then hunt you down irl and keep harassing you until you kys." Meanwhile OP is still actively posting about the game and making fan creations, paying their sub, and giving money to the devs otherwise through optional items and merchandise.
