The Skills Dat Pay da Bills es el álbum debut de Positive K aka +K, se lanzó el 3 de noviembre de 1992. Trabajó con el maestro de ceremonias Big Daddy Kane en el sencillo ("Nightshift"). "I Got a Man" rápidamente hizo su aparición en la radio y en compilaciones clandestinas de Rap lo que impulso al rapero a ser invitado en álbumes de otros artistas de Hip-Hop. A pesar de las críticas que dicen que el álbum fue más que un éxito un golpe de suerte, le faltó fuerza en las listas de álbumes, lo que lo llevó a convertirse en una maravilla fugaz. Hasta la fecha, el álbum sigue siendo querido en la comunidad del Hip-Hop underground.

Este álbum es la primera instancia registrada de la frase "drop it like it's hot” (suéltalo como si estuviera caliente), que aparece en las canciones "Ain't No Crime" y "Minnie the Moocher".
