Well, Youtube art channels and drawing lives are very useful to learn, but I mostly use Pinterest (like- A LOT. Not gonna lie XD)

Whenever I have any doubts I look here ✨

Remember to observe and study everything you like from other people's art. It was and still is very useful to me!

Sadly it's needed practice too :'3 Personal thought: Do not compare your skills judging by your age or I'll get angy >:C Everyone learns at different speed and with different methods! What I will list here might not work for you, but it's ok! It's full of tutorials out there!

Here's how I personally split body shapes:

Note: My Frisk is agender, so I don't draw male or female body shapes for them.

With these shapes it's much easier for me to pose the character, but you need to have the pose in your mind when drawing it, so check references if you need help.

Do you know about my free web based sketch app that rotates random pose references? 🤔

It's called AdorkaStock Sketch and you can access it on desktop or mobile. It will adjust to fit your screen! On mobile you can scroll down to see the options.

There are currently just over 2,000 poses in rotation with more coming. You can change the timer, skip poses, sort with filters, or try predefined class modes.

The site is completely free and thanks to my Patrons I was recently able to remove third-party ads! If you turn off your ad blockers while using the site you will only see my own ads.

You can also make a free account which will allow you to collect a favorites list and set sketching goals.

Please check it out and use it as often as you need to for pose browsing, gesture warm ups, or long drawing sessions (just hit pause on any pose!) Hope it's super useful for you. Happy drawing! 🎨✨

I know some of y'all are using my posts as art references (and that's GREAT! I love that!) And I want to maybe look into creating a better resource for artists, like a pose reference bank or something like that, but I don't know where to start?

So tell me: where do you go for your art refs? Are there specific photographers/pose banks I should get in touch with? Or if not, where would you recommend I start uploading my own? Patreon? OF (it doesn't HAVE to be porn you know)? A secret third option?

Comic 1:

First panel, Ingo and Akari are standing together. Someone off-screen asks “oh, is that your dad?”. Akari has an awkward smile and replies “oh, no no. he’s my...” There’s a long pause as she looks at Ingo. He’s leaving it up to her. She finishes, “He’s my coworker... friend... guy.” In smaller font, she continues “yea. that.” Comic 2: A dramatic panel of Volo, looking pissed off, shouting “who are you to interfere?!!” Ingo tugs the brim of his cap lower. The upper half of his face is in shadow, while his eyes stand out. He looks threatening but has his expression is his characteristic neutral-frown, and he says “...I’m her coworker friend guy.”. Comic 3: The comic is titled “Reunion”. In the first panel, Ingo shows off Akari, with a faint smile on his face. She is labelled “best girl (assigned by god)”. He says, “Emmet, this is Akari, my coworker. She’s the reason I was able to return to this station.” In smaller font, Akari comments to herself, “ooh... so this is the man in white.”

In the second panel, in smaller font Ingo notes “I think I remember now...” He says, “Akari, this is Emmet. He's also my coworker.” Coworker is underlined. Emmet is crying in the background, looking confused, conflicted, distressed, and happy. He says, “Brother...?” In the final panel, we see a framed photograph of all three together.
