That was the phrase that popped into my head when I saw these beautiful shots from @denyerpro when I did a photoshoot at @addictivefitness.co.uk
Pole dancing has improved my physical and mental health but it also helped relieve some of my gender dysphoria by being able to be unapologetically me, I know other trans+ people also enjoy pole dancing but we are never represented in pole dancing spaces (and don’t get me started on trans s*x workers and people of colour in this space being unrepresented too!) so this trans awareness week let’s celebrate the under represented by being unapologetically our beautiful, powerful trans selves 🥰🏳️⚧️💕
I've been trying to put some words together about how amazing last weekend was with LUX Pole Cabaret and honestly I don't think any words I say can accurately express my emotions 💖 Plus I'm not great at expressing my emotions with words to begin with...that's why I'm a dancer/performer/artist/etc. 😂
So I'll keep it short and sweet 🍭 Thank you everyone for your constant love and support. It truly means everything to me. I love performing for you...I love it so very much! I love every bit of it from coming up with my theme to creating the costumes to playing my song on repeat while the choreography starts happening in my head 😂
Most of all, I love looking into the audience and seeing all of you smiling, talking, laughing and just really enjoying yourselves and having a good time 😍 I love walking around and talking with each and every one of you after my performance. That bit right there, that human connection we experience together...that's what keeps me going 💖
Thank you to my friends Cristy & Dani for capturing these great pictures!
