There is a manga called "How I Became a Pokemon Card" made by Kagemaru Himeno in 1999. Who is unsurprisingly also a tcg artist. It had 6 volumes with 38 chapters total, and were mostly stand-alone stories about how the Pokemon became Pokemon cards.
It also features a canon trans character.
The final chapter, chapter 38, is called "Akira and Pikachu's birthday." Akira made a promise with his best friend, Akari (confusing I know), to be the coolest trainers ever. His friend got a Scyther for finishing middle school which caused Akira to beg his mom for one too. He gets a pokemon, but it's a Pikachu which he doesn't find cool. During an argument about it with his mom, a group of Ariados attack and Pikachu defends them. Causing Akira to see Pikachu is cool.
Akira is a trans boy. His mother agrees to giving him a pokemon because it might help him become more feminine. He openly identifies as a boy but has to wear a girl's school skirt. He uses "ore" as a pronoun for himself, one that's typically used by men. While his mother insists on using "watashi", one typically used by women.

Here's a fun fact for all of you. Out of the 18 different Pokemon types, only Grass and Electric have Pokemon which are:
Babies (Budew, Pichu)
Legendaries (Virizion, Zapdos)
Mythicals (Celebi, Zeraora)
Mega-Evolutions (Mega Ampharos, Mega Venusaur)
Gmax Forms (Pikachu Gmax, Rillaboom Gmax)
Paradox Pokemon (Sandy Shocks, Brute Bonnet)
Ultra Beasts (Xurkitree, Kartana)
Fossil Pokemon (Dracozolt, Cradily)
A Pokemon that evolves via a stone (Jolteon, Leafeon)
A Pokemon that evolves via high friendship (Pikachu, Roselia)
A Pokemon that evolves via trading (Electivire, Gourgeist)
Every other type fails to have a Pokemon which appears in at least one of the above categories. Rock and Flying are the closest to filling all the roles without doing it; there is no Rock type Pokemon that evolves from high friendship, and there is no Flying type Pokemon that evolves from a trade. Fire, Water, Bug, Psychic, and Fairy all fail to meet two of the above criteria.

Each time you complete a battle in game, the Shuckle’s Berry has a 1/16 chance of becoming a Berry Juice.

Did you know? The Galar Fossil Pokémon were originally planned as far back as Generation 4!
In truth, you have just fallen victim to a Lie. a Fabrication. a Hoax. a Ruse, even. some flavor of deceit, anyway. For you see, i simply wanted to make a funny little animation for this silly goofy ✨Testament to Man's Arrogance✨, and you have been thoroughly japed into witnessing it.
Anyway, hope you like it :) I absolutely adore the Galar Fossils and I Need more people to appreciate them

Tumblr media
DID YOU KNOW? Dondozo it's the biggest single Pokémon that does not evolve and that it's also not a legendary, mega evolved, regional variant or gygantamax form in the franchise.
It stands at a 26'11" 8.2 m tall. Examples of other Pokemons that are smaller are:
Ultra Necrozma: 24'07" 7.5 m. Giratina Origin form: 22'08" 6.9 m Mega Rayquaza: 35'05" 10.8 m
There's only two Pokemons that are bigger than it: Wailord (47'07" 14.5 m) and Eternatus (65'07" 20.0 m).

Hello, my name is Arti, and I have a story to tell: The story of how I, by sheer chance, discovered this piece of information.  It’s not a great story, so don’t strap yourself in for an epic tale. It was August 2010, before Black and White were released, and before we had any idea about the majority of the Pokédex. I was visiting my parents doing a replay of Pokémon Diamond, and while I was doing so, I decided to name my team, you know like you do.
When I came to name my Sneasel, the six member of my team, I couldn’t think of a name, so I went through the names of other Pokémon I had named in the past, and eliminated letters from the alphabet that I had already started another Pokémon’s name with. Then I picked one of the letters I hadn't used and used that as the first letter of their name. Realizing her name was based around the first letters of names I then took the first letters of all the other members of that team and put them together to name the Sneasel, who would become Nabach. Fast forward probably three years, I’m back at my parent’s visiting, and I’m going through stuff in my room, and I come across a piece of paper with some Pokémon nicknames and I remember this bit of paper from my Diamond run. And I am VERY surprised to find, written on this piece of paper a series of letters: D E I N O By LUDICROUS coincidence I had not named a single one of my Pokémon something that started with these letters, and miraculously it spelled the name of a Pokémon who hadn’t even been known to exist as of writing it down. So naturally I was astounded by this coincidence, and wrote a very small bit of code to go through the names of every Pokémon and print out any name that was in alphabetical order, and it was only Deino. So I thought, huh, that’s neat, and put it in the trivia section of Bulbapedia. I’ve not checked to see if this is still true, but since no-one has removed it, or changed it to say "Until the release of Pokémon Beep and Boop and the addition of Ghimry to the Pokédex, Deino was the only Pokémon whose English name's letters were in alphabetical order." I assume this is still true.
As a bonus here's a picture of Nabach.

The other five who make up the letters in her name are: A'Tuin the Torterra Bandit the Golem Armoni the Luxray Captain the Gyarados Henchcrow the Honchcrow

Tidbit about Pokemon names
Before Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, names for Pokemon (both species names and names of specific individuals of that species) had a limit of ten characters at most. This is why the names Victreebel and Feraligatr are spelled the way they are; more proper spelling would not fit. Starting with X and Y, both types of Pokemon names had the character limit raised to twelve. This allows for Crabominable to be a legitimate species name (also the longest species name by character count). Unlike some of the categories Pokemon are listed as in the PokeDex (examples being Lickitung being the “Licking Pokemon” and Lapras being the “Transport Pokemon”; these are often ignored nowadays even though all Pokemon have them) where some were changed due to having less harsh limits in Gen 3 compared to Gen 2 (like Mew being listed as the “NEW SPECIE” Pokemon before being updated to New Species), they never did the same for Pokemon names. I suppose they never did that for the sake of compatibility between generational transfer (specifically what to do about Pokemon like Victreebel and Feraligatr if they don’t have nicknames).

SMEARGLE FACTS 1
Smeargle has a move called Sketch! That can be used to copy any kind of Pokemon move!
Permanently
This means that you can have the full move set of a level 100 Rayquaza while your Smeargle is only level 40!
Do be cautious though as Sketch can only be learned every 10 levels so depending on the level you catch your Smeargle gives you that many sketches.
For example: level 10 Smeargles get 9 and level 40 Smeargles get 6.

The first generation of Pokémon had two different versions in the west: Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue. However, the original Japanese release Pokémon Green instead of Blue. This is why the remakes were called Fire Red and Leaf Green.

Do you know what pokemon type is the most popular with women?
Not in real life, but in the games. Every generation, the games release trainers, gym leaders or elite 4 members who specializes in one of the 18 types. Do you know the one with the highest amount of women?
...
...
It's Ghost. There are 8 ghost type specialists, 6 women and 2 men.
It's probably playing with the idea that women are attune with the supernatural. It's also explain why Psychic is in the second place (5 women, 5 men)
