I've had these losers for over 10 years now! ...not Tobi and Alda, though. The kids are pretty new lol. Either way, all of them were due for new references!

(Yes, some of their natures are cruddy, but aside from their abilities, I wanted to keep their original stats from when I caught them! xD)

River Pine - Minior Demi-Girl/Twilight Cleric

I’ve updated River’s Pokejinka ref for a special project of mine! It’s still very much WIP, but it’s nice to have a solid design for my girl~ Eventually I’ll be drawing their partner as well.

I redesigned my Ditto OC Akito and changed their whole backstory (but since I never shared their former backstory with anyone it doesn't matter so ye-) Even though this is kinda a ditto gijinka, Akito usually looks like that in the normal Pokemon world as well, because they often change into a more human-like being which is because they'd prefer to be human over being a pokemon for some reason. Also to show that they can change into something else than just pokemon as many assume (or at least it seems this way to me??) Akito used to go by male pronouns but I changed it to neutral pronouns (they/them) because they're genderless anyway (as all Dittos are)

Akito is a former daycare Ditto (and we all know what that means) and can't really stand to be around other pokemon other than other Dittos ever since. They're very shy and hide away most of the time. They suffer from a trauma and are mentally unstable which causes them to be unable to contain a stable form so their appearence often seems to melt at least a little into a pinkish colour even when transforming into another pokemon. They're super self concious. More info to be added later maybe

i decided to put 4 of my gijinkas to artfight, she’s the first because…i wanted to draw kaguya

(tfw you cant put read more on mobile) she’s an observer of a cult which makes other planets a better place… by causing a genocide but once a observer lands a planet, it takes a long time to research the planet. (and kaguya is kinda new in earth) the observer must be careful, the leaders love detailed information. kaguya is so focused on her job that she cannot be social. but she still likes people. she looks emotionless and intimidating because she’s 2.43m/8 feet tall.

Last set of updated Pokejinka refs for a while, I’ll be participating in Art Fight starting in a couple days so I won’t be doing these on the side of my main projects as a result. I’ll get back on the next set when the event ends, so here’s Moonbeam in the meantime!

Also since they’re fused together when in shadow form, I’ve included Ray’s little brother Remy in his ref. Don’t really have much on him aside from that he’s a sweet kid. The place where both of them were connected causes lasting problems, for Ray it’s very limited arm movement and for Remy it’s mostly heart and lung issues. And of course everyone that were shadowed has lasting psychological issues, but that’s to be expected considering what’s implied to have happened to the original Pokemon that get their hearts closed off... :’c

so in order to mitigate the issue, as I’m assuming they don’t expect anyone to put nearly 400 links on a page (I don’t even expect that of me) and thus this isn’t really a Thing they can Fix even if they thought it was reasonable to, I’ve split up my ref links across four pages.

Just had the amazing idea to do PokeJinka in the Pokemon style, since I was just looking through stuff for inspiration and happened upon the ref sheets for Sun and Moon characters. Man these Gijinka are gonna look cute now...

Re-introducing two of my favorite Pokemon gijinkas! I would love to talk more about their stories, but I think I'll save that for when I eventually make their Toyhouse profiles.

Finally....an updated reference of Carmen! She was in dire need of one, and I think I came up with a design that finally suits her! I (and probably she) was inspired by those lone Western rangers.

Don't be fooled by her rugged and rather intimidating looks. She's just a bit awkward and shy around people.

Mr. Merry is a mysterious Mew who, like many of his kind, prefer to stay hidden. The only time he is out in public is when he is in disguise, not wanting to bring any attention to himself. He has lived a relatively normal and quiet life until he meets another Mew who somehow isn’t in disguise!! The horror!!

These three beat the Master Ball tier at the Battle Tower, I’m so proud of them!!
