From a reasonable standpoint I’m upset about the quality of the SV games. It reflects how little the higher ups at Gamefreak value their developers and consumers alike. Amassing profits as quickly as possible continues to be the focus of their business model, at the cost of the time and health of those actually working on the games, the functionality and overall quality of the results, and the enjoyment of the fans. Such a company releasing a game like this is shameful and should be the wake-up call for folks to stop immediately buying any game with Pokémon on it by default. So long as churning out low quality content built through crunch time continues to be profitable, it will continue to get worse; we need to send a message that it is not acceptable, to fight for the overworked developers and the players being taken for granted.
On the other hand, I can’t help but admit ridiculous shit like this has actually enhanced my experience of the game in a positive manner.
Aside from the occasional Gimmeghoul, nothing is supposed to spawn at the tops of watchtowers. Or on the ladders. But this Varoom doesn’t care about the rules.
It also had company nearby. Here we can see a wild racecar and its young, the family having moved to higher ground as protection from the ground types they are 4x weak to.
A weird box that was already there has been enlisted as a babysitter, however whether its presence actually helps or not is unclear.
