Been considering doing some video game streaming as a side project. Just some chill, relaxing streams of me playing old-school (vintage, abandonware, etc) point-and-click adventure games talking in my old-timey okey-dokey way, peppered by streams of profanity if something startles me.
Stuff like Myst and the early Monkey Island games, yes. But also Schizm, Connections, Legacy of Time, Darkfall, Day of the Tentacle, Atlantis, The Cameron Files, Post Mortem, The Longest Journey...
Anyway. SylvanFrecklesGaming. Coming...soon? I have no idea, but it could be fun!
An easy-to-use first-person (primarily, but optionally third-person) adventure game engine, unsupported since 2013 and unavailable for purchase since 2017 (when the venerable Kagi registration service died). You can download it here.
You can find links to free games made with the program on the Wayback Machine here. Don't forget to check the linked sites on the live web too. Games listed as not working on Vista (and thus even following versions of WIndows) may work after using this patch from the Carol Reed series site (Carol Reed games 1-3 used to need it, but no longer do - the other games use other engines - game NINETEEN coming on Jan 1st!).
My new years resolution was to play more point and click adventure games. I'm aiming for one per month. Since I've finished my first two now, I thought it would be fun to draw the characters from those games hanging out together! 😄 Now let's see if I can keep it up for another ten months.
This is a development blog for a point-and-click adventure game I'm creating in which you play a retired Sherlock Holmes who just wants to put together the ultimate picnic for Watson - the only problem is that pesky mysteries keep getting in the way.
I haven't done anything like this before and it's a bit of a side project so progress will be slow, but I hope you enjoy following the journey!
Right now I'm working on a kind of phase 1, which is just a small test environment where you can walk around and interact with things.
The Demo for Perfect Tides: Station to Station comes out tomorrow!! This is the first background I made for the new game, my ode to the fictional 23rd street of 2003 :)
The (actual) teaser trailer of the game I've curated the art direction of is out! I'm so proud of our work, and it's kind of wild to see my art on the backbone of such a project.
Stay tuned for more! I can't wait to share everything with you ♥
