pix’s empires video intros seem like video game intros and i love them
like this most recent one here.. the pan around from the moon, the little ‘ping’ as the empires logo pops up, the fade on the logo, the pan around the statue, the little start of piano right before pix speaks, the way he speaks like an introduction to a new thing…very video game

Both the main theme that Grian and Impulse have been using to prank Pix and also the one that goes behind the actual segments. They're pretty good tracks, whoever chose them has good taste

Do u have any close-to-how-I-imagine-Sirius face claims? Or maybe just the ~vibes~. Our boy was so handsome I've actually never found a fc close to how I see him
see, this is a tough question bc i absolutely don’t see faces when i talk about/imagine fictional character. i usually just go off of traits/vibes/behaviours/specific features. i know there’s a few east asian fan casts for the black brothers floating around that are pretty good, but i can’t narrow it down to one definitive face.
i can give u a few things i think of when i picture sirius, though.
physical perfection. straight nose, high cheekbones, excellent bone structure etc etc.
he’s exceptionally pretty and there’s no other word for it. i know rugged sirius black is a thirst trap for a reason but i rly like the ethereal, untouchable beauty version. he has long eyelashes and wonderful hair and he’s built all delicate and stuff. (one reason i rly like this is the juxtaposition b/w the first impression of his looks & how much power & strength he has in him. also,,,,the contrast b/w him and james is *chefs kiss*)
he tans rly badly, like tomato red, so he just prefers staying out of the sun altogether unless he’s protected by a shitload of cosmetic charms. the tattoos give him more of an excuse to do so.
he has beautiful long, thin fingers—perfect for piano playing and other things. james is obsessed & can never stop playing w them. they’re constantly adorned with rings.
speaking of rings, i feel like he’d be a jewellery type of a person. constantly changing his piercings. wearing chains & rings & bracelets. always having an anklet of some sort on.
he loves experimenting w hairstyles but lets v v few people touch his hair (james & effie, and alter james sirius. harry ofc gets a pass even if sirius doesn’t exactly like it bc it’s harry) it’s not uncommon to see him w braided hair, fancy buns, experimental cute & colors and stuff
he has an a+ resting bitch face. there’s a reason the majority of hogwarts is intimidated by him. he isn’t very expressive, def not at first and even after he becomes more comfortable feeling emotions, he still tends towards neutral/cold expressions.
ultimately, the vibe i get from him is like,,,something bella hadid has, maybe? ykno all those Model™️ pix of her where she’s not smiling and has a straight face & an intense gaze and u just feel rly unworthy? that.

Beethoven e a Favela.
Se existisse uma analogia entre Beethoven e as Favelas ela começaria, no amanhecer, com as variações de " Diabelli" e no anoitecer com a Sonata ao Luar ou " Moonlight".
Ou seja, a vida na favela é uma eterna luta, uma "Eroica",que se constituia para Beethoven em " o quanto mais difícil uma peça, mais encontramos o espírito humano de luta pela sobrevivência".
Não! Senhores e Senhoras não encontraremos este espírito na riqueza material, mas onde se exerce a fé, pois a fé é o ar que se respira nas favelas.
E é este ar que necessitamos para nos desafiar, para respirar, e apesar de todos os preconceitos, a favela é paz e violência, é humana, pois é amor e rancor, é paz e é guerra.
E isto nos leva a uma definição de utopia,na autoria de Fernando Birri e reinterpretado por Eduardo Galeano: " A utopia está lá no horizonte. Me aproximo dois passos, ela se afasta dois passos.
Caminho dez passos e o horizonte corre dez passos. Por mais que eu caminhe, jamais alcançarei.
Para que serve a utopia?
Serve para isso: para que eu não deixe de caminhar.”
Claudio Arrau, considerado um dos maiores intérpretes de Beethoven já dizia: "Um intérprete deve dar seu sangue ao trabalho interpretado.".
E a favela e Beethoven deram sangue, fé e coragem à obra de Deus na Terra.
Eroica para Beethoven significava : "os aspectos universais do heroísmo, centrados na ideia de um confronto com a adversidade que leva finalmente a uma renovação de possibilidades criativas.”Dedicou-a a Napoleão Bonaparte, mas o que inicialmente significava o " pai dos pobres, da liberdade, igualdade e fraternidade" naquele tempo e hoje, significou e significa, um déspota, um ditador, logo depois do inaltecido se revelar foi apagada a dedicatória na obra pelo autor.
Tantos paralelos com o Brasil atual! Beethoven e a Favela.
Nas variações 'Diabelli'
Claudio Arrau, piano (Alto) interpreta o que é considerada a fuga mais emocionante e sofisticada de Beethoven.
Ele está velho e surdo quando a escreve, e ainda assim ele se propõe a criar a composição mais ambiciosa que já tentou em forma de fuga.
O resultado é verdadeiramente um triunfo do espírito.
As harmonias são extraordinárias, assim como a complexidade do contraponto.
Eu, como Moisés Kaufman( dramaturgo), simplesmente amamos a imagem de um artista já idoso, tentando superar todas as suas conquistas anteriores.
E o final é sublime; parece um boxeador depois de uma longa luta. Uma das maiores lutas do século XX - Rochy Marciano X Jersey Joe Walcott, em 23 se Setembro de 1952.
Na peça para piano Sonata "Moonlight", nosso intérprete mais uma vez "da seu sangue"!
A maioria das pessoas conhece o primeiro movimento melancólico da Sonata "Moonlight", mas é o terceiro que demonstra como Beethoven se tornou Beethoven.
Lutando com sua perda auditiva, ele transforma sua raiva e frustração em uma declaração de sobrevivência feroz e de parar o coração.
Com arpejos rápidos e acordes violentos, ele oscila à beira da loucura, mas nunca cai no abismo.
A favela nunca será um abismo!
Ele escreveria mais tarde que seu trabalho o salvou de cometer suicídio.
Na favela se constitui, segundo o Ministério da Saúde, um dos menores índices de suicídio.
Favela é vida!
Esse movimento,de arpejos rápidos e acordes violentos que oscila à beira da loucura, assim como a opinião de Patrícia Morrisroe( escritora), nos emociona toda vez que o ouvimos.
A pesquisa Data Favela 2023,mostra que se as favelas brasileiras formassem um estado, seria o terceiro maior do Brasil em população.
Segundo a pesquisa, o número de favelas dobrou na última década, totalizando 13.151 mapeadas pelo país.
A renda movimentada pela população dessas comunidades também aumentou, e quebrou a barreira dos R$ 200 bilhões, R$ 12 bilhões a mais em relação ao último ano( 2022).
Em dizer que a primeira favela que surgiu no Brasil e caracterizada assim, foi em decorrência de um ato demagógico e político de prometer aos soldados( volantes) da guerra de Canudos um pedaço de terra no Rio de Janeiro!?
Alguns historiados acreditam que o Morro da Providência, situado na Região Portuária, tenha sido a primeira favela do Rio de Janeiro.
Dois fatores históricos contribuíram para as primeiras ocupações na região: o fluxo migratório de ex- escravos com a "abolição da escravatura" em 1888 e o grande número de soldados da Guerra de Canudos que desembarcaram no Rio e não tinham moradia.
A favela é negra, é branca e é mestiça!
A favela é brasileira, humana, dilacerante, revoltante, inebriante, a favela é a " pax mafiosa" , " paz narcótica", é " panela de pressão" ponto a explodir!
Favela é poder!
Beethoven é poder!
Diferentes e complementares formas de poder ser!
"Pax narcótica comprada", "poder comprado", pelo governo atual, coalizão entre o Estado Democrático de Direito e o Estado Paralelo rumo a um Estado de Excecão!

Ahhhhh! The empires hermitcraft stuff has been so fun!!!!! They’re all disasters and the absolute DRAMA that is occurring every time anything happens is hilarious. I really appreciate the members of both servers that went “that’s enough people thanks <3” though!

HELLO DOT!!! i missed you! no worries about irl stuff (i get it lol) i hope that it all turned out okay!
oh i’m loving the empires hc crossover so much. i watched a few more povs (all hillarious) and the hc recap this week was so funny i was dying at pix recapping himself. it is really funny how they’re all like: oh we committed to lore and now we have to DO this lore? yes, you did this to yourselves and now you have to be social. i am so excited to see more episodes release though it’s going to be so fun.
my piano thing was meh fine. i did not remember one of the scales which messed me up for the rest of it (and the prof is terrifying so i was shaking anyway) but i only need a 20% on this to keep a passing grade in the class so i’ll be fine.
i hope you had a good halloween too! i did more stuff this weekend than on the actual day (college vibes). my mom said she was going to send me all the leftover halloween candy this week so im ready.
also i just watched the newish video of jimmy grian joel and lizzie beating minecraft on superflat world and it was so funny i just wanted to talk about it here.

A Casa Museu Ema Klabin recebe, no dia 10 de setembro, às 16h30, o espetáculo de abertura do 13º Kleztival 2022. O show Khazntes, vozes femininas na liturgia judaica contará com a participação das cantoras Nicole Borger, Regis Karlik, Roxana Kostka e o Trio In Canto – formado por Lea Gabanyi, Sonia Oppenheim e Vanessa Nunes –, além de José Langer, no violão, e Sima Halpern, no piano e na direção musical.
Nas décadas de 1930 a 1950, em Nova York, havia um grupo de mulheres, esposas, filhas, irmãs, sobrinhas de cantores litúrgicos famosos, que, impedidas de cantar em sinagogas, lotavam teatros cantando repertórios de canções litúrgicas para um amplo público. Perele Feig, Freydele Oysher, Sarah Gorby, Bas Sheva, Sophie Kurtzer, Sheindele Khaznte e Goldie Makawski, mulheres que contribuíram para a divulgação da cultura judaica, serão homenageadas na apresentação.

RESUMO DO DIA: “uma grávida de 6 meses com os pés cravados no centro da caçamba do caminhão, braços esticados como jesus cristo, bíceps trincando, cada mão segurando uma corda enrolada passando por duas polias laterais amarradas no piano que o marido inclinava a 45 graus, enquanto eu e um chapa arregaçávamos o braço baixando os 200 kg pro chão.”
CENA: dois sujeitos curvados arriando um piano de armário, um outro equilibrando a descida, e uma grávida de pé na caçamba com braços distendidos performando um instrumento medieval de tortura.
O caminhoneiro gritava para mulher "Vai filha! Força nas cordas!". Eu e o chapa tremíamos "Caraca! vai cair, vai cair!!!! Ôoo, se liga!" Mas não caiu. A grávida fez a diferença. Desceu pesado. Mas desceu. Por pouco não esmago os dedos na boca do caminhão.
O vigia do prédio comercial, um sujeito mirrado de paletó preto: "Tá pesado é?" Fiquei pensando no que responder. Num deu. Os braços e costas moídos... e ainda disse "Não pode ficar aqui. Tem que levar logo pra dentro." Deu pra sentir os olhares cheios de veneno.
Se pensamento dirigido matasse o cara caia duro ali mesmo. O meu chapa disse "Ô você! tem uma mulher grávida aqui seu!" De fato, a grávida tava suando bicas no caminhão, e o porteiro crispado sentado na cadeira todo largado. Passamos para o elevador e os três toparam na cadeira do sujeito. Um topada forte, consciente, mas também de raiva.
MORAL DA HISTÓRIA: faz quase dez anos que não contrato uma mudança. Descubro que como todas as outras atividades o setor também foi uberizado, o que significa precarizado. A transportadora composta por um casal mais o filho é todo o quadro funcional da empresa. O microempresário vive pendurado no WhatsApp caçando caminhoneiros que estão de passagem nas estradas com o caminhão vazio. Faz o toma-lá-dá-cá. Pede pagamento a vista no pix e repassa metade ao caminhoneiro ocioso que faz o corre pra ele sozinho entre estados. Ponto central: não há carregadores para ajudar a esvaziar a carga. O caminhoneiro fica com a bomba de ter de contratar qualquer um no destino que esteja à toa pelas redondezas. Ele paga 75 reais para cada carregador, no máximo dois. E segue viagem para a próxima carga.
RAIVINHA de classe média: no depósito um dos funcionários me diz que outro dia um cliente reaça de meia-idade surtou quando descobriu que não havia carregadores do depósito (Guarde Aqui). Contratou o box pensando que ia ter uma galera para recebê-lo de tapete vermelho. Gritou e xingou todo mundo. Resultado: passou o dia descarregando sozinho a carga, nem o motorista quis ajudar.
