@mermain123 requested Linebeck for the father's day snippets and uhhhh, I've never written him aside from like one line one time so ummm, here you go, I tried :-\

Linebeck watched as the kid marched triumphantly onto his ship. "Well, I see you got the item."

"Heck yeah!" Link replied, throwing his arm into the air with the item in hand to prove his point. Linebeck nearly rolled his eyes at the kid's enthusiasm, but he didn't have the heart to do so.

And then his eyes spotted something.

Was... was that blood?

"Link, you're... you're..." he pointed to the green-clad child's arm as a blood stain grew steadily larger on his sleeve.

Link blinked, confused. Then he looked at where Linebeck was pointing--or, well, had been pointing. The world was swimming, Linebeck suddenly felt dizzy and--

Oh, he was on the ground. When had that happened?

"Are you okay?"

The chiming sound of one of Link's fairy friends buzzed around him, and the world came back to clarity alongside a pounding headache. Linebeck groaned just as Link came swimming into view, looking worried.

"I think you fainted!" Link said worriedly.

Ciela huffed. "You pass out at the sight of blood?"

Immediately, Linebeck shot into a seated position. "No! I just get woozy sometimes. Poor constitution. Inherited from my mother."

Link's confusion was apparent. Ciela's doubt was also apparent.

"You should be more careful," Link advised uncertainly.

"Me?! You're the one who--" Linebeck gestured vaguely at Link's arm. "Don't get hurt like that!"

Ciela laughed. "Aw, you do care."

"I never once said that--"

Link rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Sorry. I'll try not to come back bleeding next time."

Linebeck crossed his arms, giving a withering glare. "You'd better not."

I’m finding it so hard to accept that Linebeck CANONICALLY has a biological child. Like. This pathetic excuse of a man raises a child and then said child proceeds to give him a grandson as well (as seen in Spirit Tracks). I know he can take care of kids, he did take care of Link after all, but it’s just so funny to me

Source/Game(s): Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass (eventually Hyrule Warriors, but he hasn't gotten there yet)

Sexuality: Straight

Favorite Color(s): Tune loves the color blue. The color of the ocean and his favorite shirt. It’s a calming color.

Disliked Color(s): Tune isn’t very fond of the color grey. Grey typically means storm clouds. And storms can be dangerous if you’re on a boat, or if you’re on a small island. Grey means danger to him.

Skills: Tune is a decent swordsman, not the best in the chain, but also not the worst. He is very nimble on his feet though, his small size giving him an advantage when it comes to ducking and dodging and getting in a better position to fight.

Outside of combat Tune is a really good sailer and an expert at tying knots of all sorts. Plus he's an amazing shot with his ship's cannon.

Outfit/Design Notes: Tune wears his lobster shirt because it is his favorite shirt to wear in general. He doesn't really like to wear his 'hero's outfit' much, but he does wear the pants from it. He thinks it goes along with his shirt really well. Along with those he basically always has his power bracelets on as well as his pirate charm. Plus his spoils bag, since you never know when you're going to find some treasure.

Tune is based on people from the Polynesian islands so he has very dark skin and curly, dark brown hair.

Other: Tune has been in a relationship with Tetra since he was 14 and they're still going strong. He adores her and respects her not only as his partner but also as his captain. While their main goal is to locate a land that they can settle to form New Hyrule Tetra is also aiming to become the Pirate Queen of the Great Sea. And Tune is behind her in every way, ready and willing to support her plans.

I know your Linebeck father's day snippet is meant to be lighthearted and silly (and it is! I like it) but that last bit of Linebeck telling Link to not come back bleeding could be used for angst purposes 👀

Link gets injured and doesn't have resources to stop the bleeding/recover but remembering what Linebeck said he purposely avoids returning to the ship despite bleeding out.

@smilesrobotlover I’m just gonna leave this at your doorstep if you ever want angst hurt/comfort material for your rat husband and his sweet kiddo ;)
