Short version: Kakashi’s not as experienced as you might think, but this doesn’t translate into lack of skill in any way.
The long version: Ahhh so I go back on forth on this but I’ma attempt to think this through here. Okay, so, fandom has generally two sides when it comes to Kakashi and this topic. He’s either the completely suave, smooth ladies’ man who has all the one night stands or on account of his issues he’s a passive, stuttering virgin who’s constantly flustered.
Neither of these are that accurate. So I do get ladies man Kakashi to a point. It comes from the fact that he is quite smooth? And women do seem to like him quite easily in the series. And Kakashi definitely has the capacity to be a charmer, and is quite good at flirting when his job requires it or it’s a stranger etc. He’s good at reading people and winning them over. This is more complicated when he’s faced with someone he’s attracted to, or that has the potential to mean something to him. He still might be charming, but he’s very good at using this to keep you further from him, so you can’t really get to know him or get close to him so it’s not quite the same. It’s his way of controlling the distance between you.
Now, when it comes to experience, I don’t think Kakashi’s incapable of using casual sex as some kind of a coping mechanism (it’s not the healthiest), but if he was going to do this, it’d be during the latter part of his ANBU years. I can see him having sex as just a means to forget and remember he’s alive, and quell an urge, with basically faceless partners, or maybe complete strangers on missions. This does make him feel even lonelier after a while though, and it’s not really what he wants. Eventually having sex with women he’ll never see again serves to make him more miserable, and I think by the time we see him at the beginning of the series he doesn’t really do this anymore. So I wouldn’t say he’s completely inexperienced sexually at least, though he definitely is romantically.
Generally after that, Kakashi’s gonna reserve sex for someone who he has a deep emotional and physical connection with, but God forbid he ever calls it what it is - a relationship. Basically, if he’s sleeping with you, he pretty much loves you whether he knows it or not. And if he’s comparing that to his past experiences, he really feels the difference and cherishes it all the more (but it still scares him and he won’t admit it to himself.
So here’s how I see it. There’s always been a sexual chemistry between him and you, and a physical and romantic attraction. But of course Kakashi is Kakashi so he does absolutely nothing about it and doesn’t want to let you do anything about it. Still, you’re surprisingly persistent, and you do become close to each other in a friendly capacity, in whatever way Kakashi’s able to participate in that. Hey! Apologies if I'm not super coherent here, my brain is a lil sleepy lol.
One of the fics i'm actually working on is about a fwb situation with Kakashi (I've had this request for like a year lmao but the ideas and inspiration for it come and go so quickly)
I kinda have my own misgivings and concerns about the perils of fwbs and no string attached relationships so it's not my favourite thing to read or write about, but if I'm 100% honest I do think it is a very possible way that Kakashi might get into a relationship. He just, ahem, is guarded in a lot of ways and has a lot of emotional things to work through but I think sex could totally be an outlet for him... Especially if he has feelings for somebody, he could easily convince himself that they're just sexual and acting on them works well for him, up until to a point. Maybe it's them mutually deciding they want more, or maybe it's more angsty and Y/N realises that she wants more and thinks Kakashi isn't willing to give it, and so she leaves - or maybe Kakashi pushes her away because he thinks he isn't capable of giving her what she wants (what they both want!) and honestly maybe losing her is what snaps Kakashi out of it and realises that actually, he's into deep, and what he actually wants is to be with her, but can he be vulnerable enough to admit that? To let himself get into an actual romantic relationship? Maybe.
But see, Kakashi understands other people's feelings pretty well. He's really shrewd and he's not willing to really change her mind beyond admitting that he has actual feelings for her - so maybe she will get mad at him for idk, if she genuinely is happy with somebody else and is getting what she wants, he's not going to go out of his way to change her mind. He's not a selfish person at his core so he'd probably think it's all for the best anyway.
Having said all that though, if their arrangement has already ended and she isn't with anyone but there's still something unresolved on his end, and he's seeing her getting to know another man... It might make him uncomfortable. And why should it? He has no right to feel that way, right? But it does, it gets under his skin. And maybe it does affect his behaviour, maybe he does get jealous. Maybe he finds her or sees her somewhere with him, maybe they're all at a party or something and maybe he finds himself pulling her aside and asks a question in a tone that's a little too bitter, a little too demanding, a little too aggressive, and it pisses her off? But why does it piss her off? Is she sure she's completely resolved about him? And so maybe that leads to an angry conversation of sorts and I can see him confessing his feelings in a situation like that.
I hope that's enough for you lol I don't wanna get too deep into this because like I said this is something I wanna touch on in stuff I write... at some point... I hope... lmao.

Basically, I’ve already said that I don’t think Kakashi would realistically be into having a threesome, and I don’t think Yamato would either. I supppoooose an argument could be made because these two are friends and are comfortable with each other to a degree, but I don’t think these two would be super happy to be in that situation, as even if the reader is the object of their attention and affection, I don’t really know how they’d feel about sharing this experience and the reader like that.
They both strike me as the type to be cautious and guarded, to really have to work up to intimacy with someone, and they really value the exclusivity that comes with it. Having another person there is the potential to complicate that, or even ruin it, so I really can’t imagine Kakashi or Yamato being into a threesome. Just that kind of vulnerability and openness with more than one person at a time, even if it’s not necessarily them with each other, it’s not something that appeals to them. And I can see it making them insecure too, especially Yamato. I don’t think either of them are big on sharing their partner with somebody else, or see them pleasured by someone that isn’t them. It just doesn’t seem right for them.
I think a lot of writers are good at being self-indulgent, and suspending disbelief and opening their imagination, especially if the idea is hot and it’s what people want to read, and I really try to, but I’m just not that good at it 😂
Tldr: I don’t think Kakashi and Yams are gonna be having a threesome, even if it involves the both of them.

About this blog
First and foremost, I want to crosspost my fics from AO3 here. That’s the main reason I created this sideblog. Fair warning, I’m often either busy, disorganised or unmotivated (or all three!) so you might not see updates from me as frequently as I would like (maybe that’s a good thing for you guys though lol). An important note before I continue - I will reblog NSFW, I’ve written NSFW headcanons and may write NSFW fics, and I think my content is a little mature in writing anyway - to that end, and also the fact that I’m an adult, if you are under 18, PLEASE don’t follow me. This isn’t an ordinary requests/imagines blog. I might have periods of time where I’m open for writing requests, but I just don’t have the time or energy to stick to this all the time. You’re welcome to talk to me or ask me about anything else, headcanons etc. Please be patient with me whilst I get to your requests. On that note, almost everything I write will be Kakashi-centric, unless something different takes my inspiration (and I honestly hope it does! can you call yourself a writer if you can only write about one fictional dork?) or if i say you can request other characters. But yeah, Kakashi is my all-time no. 1 husbando and i’m super loyal so it is what it is.
Also, keeping things in character and in keeping with the world the characters come from mean a lot to me. I’m not one of those burn canon types, unless certain things are SO egregious that it’s unacceptable. But generally i’m uncomfortable making characters OOC, and I’m not much of a shipper for fandoms in general. I might write ships for the ones I do like in the event I’m ever inspired by them, but that won’t ever be Kakashi ships. I’ve never really understood or supported any of them, though to varying degrees. If you’re not into that, or just are worried about seeing a ship you hate, then you can usually rest assured. I tag everything too. (I’m still happy to discuss them though. I have thoughts about many things.)
I also made this blog because, though I make a conscious effort to comment on and like other writers’ fics, I don’t want some of my mains’ followers to know the extent of my weeb-ness, and i don’t really reblog as much as I should. So you know, I hope to do more of that here. That and i’d like a space to share my work and talk about things that bother me etc and nerd out in general.

I’m aware tumblr isn’t always a great place for content creators but I figure there’s no harm in posting stuff here and having somewhere to talk endlessly into the void! Even if no one ever sees it.
But i have to point out, that I find tumblr and tumblr fandoms very exhausting and not the best for my mental health, so I’m so sorry in advance if I don’t seem like the most active or if I don’t interact with a lot of the fandom or other blogs (though I’ll never ignore you!) I’m just very tired after spending so long on this hellsite lmao and the toxicity I’ve seen. This is primarily a space for me to enjoy myself and also to make it a good experience for all of you who visit.
