120 minutes

2 hours they have been standing in front of this stupid claw machine. All because Eddie saw something inside that he was desperate to get. Whatever it was he was refusing to tell Steve who was now pressed up against the wall between the claw machine and some arcade machine. He’s confident that the other has blown at least a hundred dollars trying to get whatever he wanted.

His tongue stuck out in concentration, refusing to let Steve talk to him as it would distract him. Steve doesn’t think much of what the other is doing. The other boy did wacky things all the time. This was one of those times as he waits patiently for the other to finish. Willing to stay all night if that meant he was able to spend time with Eddie.

Five minutes later, when the boy starts hopping up and down and throwing his hands excitedly in the air. Smiling brightly at Steve before he’s turning, bending down, and grabbing whatever he caught from the slot. Pulling it back and putting it behind his back quickly before Steve could see. Moving forward into his space, a smile tugged on the scar on his face. Not leaving any space between them. A look of confusion crossed over Steve’s face trying to figure out what the other was doing.

“So what did you win?” He asks curiously, wondering what the other had spent all that time on. Must’ve been worth it by the smile on his face.

“Oh nothing,” Eddie says tiling his head to the side dramatically. “Just, you know. A bat.” He takes the moment to pull the plushie up holding it by the wing as he dangles it in front of Steve who was starting to think confusion was his default setting.

“Oh?”

“Oh? A man spends two hours winning you a stuffed bat and all you have to say is oh?” Eddie’s teasing is continuous. Constantly wrapping itself around Steve with a soft flush as a result.

Steve begins to stutter over his words as he lifts his hand up, holding the stuffy carefully in both hands. His heart swells up as he realizes Eddie spent all that time for him. As the realization hits a dopey smile grows on Steve’s face, seemingly what Eddie had been searching for as his eyes flicker down to the other's lips. Moving a hand up and carefully setting it on the wall next to Steve’s head. Not caring how close they were. Both of their faces were pink and their hearts beating fast.

“So, watcha gonna name it?” Eddie asks with a smile, one that was reserved for Steve.

“Ozzy.”

“Holy shit, I am just a simple peasant to your royalty. Oh holy one, please grace me with your presence at mine tonight.” Eddie pulls back starting to bow down at the other as Steve laughs at his antics.

“Is that your way of asking me out?” He teases playfully.

“Yes, I guess it is,” Eddie responds, hand aimlessly moving to twirl the bat's wing with his finger as he smiles brightly at the other.

People really do everything they can to avoid having children and to bar children from public places and then wonder why the world seems dull and pointless.

People try to hold onto their own youth, but that just means they stagnate in immaturity. The real way to regain that child-like wonder is to see the world through the eyes of an actual child, and you do that by helping new children to experience the world.

#random thought of the day #pro life #to be clear i'm not knocking childless people (as a childless person myself)#but i'm so lucky to have nieces and nephews to whom the world is so big and new and exciting #and it strikes me every time i babysit #the infant nephew finds another human face so exciting he can barely contain himself #wrestling a stuffed animal is almost too exciting to handle #the simplest things are overwhelmingly wonderful #and people need that perspective on the world #that's the great gift of children and so it's sad that so many people don't appreciate it

#exoskeleton....#they are Shelled creatures....#also invertebrates... there were puppets in the cambrian era i just know it...#personally i like to believe they're related to horseshoe crabs. or perhaps shrimp #hm. getting the mental image of a seafood restaurant #and the waiter brings out one of those fuckin. yk the dish with the metal dome on top #they put it down and lift the top - its a lovely steamed puppet with an entire pineapple in their mouth #and the diners dont use crab crackers - they use little craft scissors. the ones with the squiggle blades #theres still like. crab meat inside instead of stuffing. so. but the rest is puppet #no wait its puppet meat! what would puppet meat taste like... fluffy like stuffing.. a little sweet maybe.. sugar spice and everything nice #absolutely unprompted #be free my darling post! into the wild with naught but your own wings to carry you!#man. now i want crab. just a pile of huge crab legs to crack into and devour like a wild animal #while my cat stares at me with her gigantic imploring eyes #silently begging for a tidbit & drilling holes into my head all the while #normal things to pine for Yes?

Drarry Head Cannons

Harry hates being alone because he feels like he spent so much of his childhood alone/feeling alone

Draco feels like he never got time to be alone growing up with his father ALWAYS watching & then his home basically becoming Death Eater hq

^so when Draco is freaked out he wants to be alone but when Harry freaks out he wants Draco near him, leaving them with contradictory needs after an argument or a fight

^so Draco gets Harry a stuffed lion so that even when Draco is upset and needs to be alone, Harry isn't alone

Draco wears Harry's sweater (the one Molly made all of her kids including Harry) so Molly makes him his own

Harry is bi

Draco is gay

Narcissa chooses to go by her maiden name Black after the war (bc fuck Lucius)

The Weasley family accepted Harry immediately when he came out and (hesitantly) they accepted Draco too

They still argue all the time but they aren't actively trying to hurt each other during their arguments like they did when they were in school

Harry gets a tattoo of the constellation Draco at some point

There's more but the stuffed lion one is my personal favorite! Sometimes in my fanfics it'll be a stuffed dragon because Draco is Harry's dragon but I think I prefer the lion.

Im really really hoping the theory about Wille having a birthday in s3 are true because i want Simon to give him a gift SO BADLY. I want it to be something sweet and whimsical and soft bc Wille deserves whimsy in his life. Even if it is a gag gift that Wille actually ends up keeping. I really want the stuffed animal frog like i mentioned in my unhinged s3 list bc its the opposite of the snow globe with the hard (now jagged) edges. Like a soft stuffed frog (no crown) it would be so cute :(((((( But really Simon giving Wille any kind of sweet simple gift would be so cute to me.
