The first day of physical exams was proving interesting, to say the least. After the second of the day, Vera had filled her half hour break with a quick look around the main building where her office and exam room was located. It was a large building. She didn't really have the time for much else during such a limited break, even though there was so much to do. She’d have to make adjustments.
Her next patient’s chart was waiting on her desk where she’d left it, and she moved it to the counter in the exam room to open the door for them. “Come on in,” Vera said with a welcoming nod. “Sounds like you need an eye exam?”

Perfect stranger (2007)
I love how this movie reminds us of just how attacked beautiful women are from all angles.
- The less successful/attractive friend sleeping with your man and still feeling unaccomplished so proceeds to blackmail you as well.
- The male “boss” and colleagues undermining your job and qualifications to your looks and the female colleagues feeling some type of way about it as as if this automatically upgrades your job position.
- The male friend taking every chance he gets to let you know he wants you but also still playing along with it being a true friendship.
All of these these things lead to Rowena not finding joy in any aspect of her life not work life , friendship or romantic relationships.
This made me realize just how dehumanized pretty women are and we can never let our guard down.
In the end she was still crying about the decisions she had to make for being so attacked because she probably wouldn’t have made them if she wasn’t forced to by the people in her life.
Truth is genuine happiness is in your solitude and healing because you are the only person you can let your guard down with.
