peaches. peaches PLEASE. i just read the entirety of The Ocean in one go so fucking fast and had to take a furiously joyful lap around my apartment. You have a way of describing physical sensations (in The Wolves, the sensation of "cold prickling between the friction" really took me somewhere specific) that puts a person directly into the story so solidly, so unmistakably, it truly shocks me to the core. The way you build stories, drip-feeding in the unease as if through an IV, flashed with images that are so universal and recognizable, it makes for such good story telling. You could sell back to me the body I live in and I'd pay a fool's price for it. I noticed that in a couple of the tags you've spoken about trying to "shake the rust" or "just vibes" and I would impress upon you that when you lean into what you consider vibes/ruminating, wonderful things happen, regardless of how finessed or "complete" they are. I'm in a lifetime fixation really into orcas/marine wildlife as well and apart from the specific mentions of these aspects, was completely swept away by the character study you offered. Like, the thing that initially made me read this story took a back seat because I was so enthralled by the weaving of the story. All this to say you're a fucking legend and you should trust yourself, listen to your "vibes" (because, reading through the rest of your works, they're immaculate) and lean into your fascinations.

I really, really enjoy writing The Ocean and hope to get the next parts that I’ve been dabbling in up soon. Ahh thanks so much! I haven't tried to publish the book yet because my day job has pretty much taken over my life, and I'm struggling to keep my head above water. But if I'm honest, it's also because I haven't yet decided if I should query it, or if it's a project better-suited to self-publishing (which is daunting prospect, because I'd have to handle all aspects of the process!). Neither option seems easy, so for now it's on hold until the storm passes 😅

I accidentally dropped a zero on the price of a six-figure item in my shop, and the person who bought it (for five figures!) sent me a neomail saying "hey I'm gifting this back to you, I think you dropped a zero?" and gifted it back to me. I'm so touched by this, and currently trying to figure out how to 'refund' them since you can't gift/send neopoints to another player directly- I think they'll need to essentially overprice a junk item and tell me so I can bid on it/trade for it. I suggested that I'd be happy to do that but the ball's kind of in their court to set that up.

Ahh this is so great to hear! It's extra-encouraging when people respond to my original characters. Sadly I've had to put Beauty and the Beast aside for nearly a whole year while I work on commercial projects, but I will definitely post more sketches of them eventually!

i don't know how to tell you this but everytime you upload your theisis about psychological social culture issues, i always have a feeling of "oh my god my favorite professor upload their analysis let's see what they said" and i always save those up as information sources for my future literature and critical thinking classes. i love it so much, so nice to see people talk deeply about this topic and your lectures helped me alot in studying about this world and my project in the future <3
