Evil gang i need you all to help me pick :0!!!!

For short: Im going to a convention and ive decided that I will cosplay an AC character and im set between two, and those two being Alexios and Edward. I'd probably post progress pictures in here in post form. With that being said,

To favor Alexios:

I have a whole docs with stuff

Downloaded the PDF cosplay guide

Love this guy

I literally milked this game on god

Have a YT Playlist set with stuff to help me out

To disfavor Alexios:

Way harder to put together than Edward

Considering my build It'll be awkward (Not the fittest fella in the crypt)

It would take way more budget because of parts and materials

The convention is in October and I'll be caught up with some stuff in the way such as classes and an armor like his will take weeks

Harder mobility thanks to the chestplate (Not being able to bend correctly or sit)

The eva armor will be hard to make

To favor Edward:

Way more approachable regards putting it together

Easier mobility

The use of eva foam will be pretty scarce

I'll probably not freeze which is great

I can literally thrift the clothes and do the rest

To disfavor Edward:

He may not be intrincate with armor like Alexios but the clothes design is quite difficult

I'd need a wig for him

The details may be merciful but if you really look into it he can deceive you

He has a hood which will mean hood pattern

I already presented the idea of Alexios to my helper (My mother) and me switching the project may be confusing

posted this to reddit but forgot to post here! my very lovely partner once again used the pigeon nest's mr pages pattern to make me a lap sized Mr Hearts/Mr Apples! Lapples is actually made using a very soft velvety yarn, and if weighted for maximum comfort!!! i cannot emphasize enough how delightful this space bat is to cuddle!!

While I was waiting on more pink yarn 👀 (so much yarn) I did some experimenting. I was hoping this would be a beanie for my partner, but it ended up being a cute little summer hat for me

My ‘oops all skulls’ schrunchie. I think my biggest takeaway from this project, aside from structural changes I’d make if I was making another, is that I completely understand why spidermambo has so many skull pattens

Someone ordered a rat with this lovely rose pattern for the tummy. It's a spoonflower print on minky, and I will reblog with an artist credit since tumblr sometimes hates links.

This will be the last round of prototypes. Full-price rats will likely be around $45 USD plus shipping, with a small discount for buying two or three at a time.

All our rats are handmade (with some sewing machine involvement) including hand-braided tails, and so far we can offer three different varieties: Self/Unmarked, Hooded, and Berkshire.

The next thing we'll be working on is small facial markings. I'm personally very excited about that because most of our own rats were masked or blazed. We'll also be trying out satin for the feet.

International shipping is also on the to-do list! We want to get it right. Sorry about the wait.

The first final-pattern rats will be some off-the-shelf berkshire and hooded plushies, with this rose pattern in place of the white fur. I'll announce a drop date on this blog as soon as we know, but first it's time to get all these prototypes finished and sent to their new owners!

Once the pattern is finalized, we'll also be working on a usable PDF version which will go up for $7 USD on our Etsy for anyone who wants to sew their own rat :)

🌟 What is your favourite type of crafting (knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, etc) and why?

Ohhhh man. I'd have to say crochet - it's something I can do mindlessly and socially and it's a lot of fun to see what I'm working on emerge. I took it up during lockdown and I've found that unlike a lot of other crafts I've done, I don't have to be in a particular mindspace to enjoy what I'm doing. (For instance - I love doing embroidery/needle painting but it's such a long and involved process that I need to have time and be in a relatively less stressed mindspace.)

It's also great because I'm able to make meaningful presents for my friends.

One of my friends is really into furbies, so I made her this gal.

And I also got to make an amigurumi of yet another friends' Thirsty Sword Lesbians character.

I freehanded the clothes and added faux fur yarn to indicate feathers, but for the doll I used this pattern:

And it's just always such a fun experience. I love putting in the time and seeing something adorable come out of it.
