One of my favorite details about Rise is that you can clearly tell who Donnie modeled his eyebrows after.

As someone who is a survivor of many abuses Astarion made me feel cathartic and seen. He became one of my ultimate comfort characters because I see myself through him. He made me realized what I've felt was valid and I shouldn't blame myself for going through a lot of trauma because it wasn't my fault. He made me really inspired on how to handle my own trauma.

Stephen Rooney and Neil Newbon did an incredible job for making this character feel alive and relatable to anyone who experienced the same.

*Hey everybody! So. Things have been going pretty slow lately on this blog, and I just wanted to say that I’m sorry for that. I know I’m not keeping up with the usual schedule of around 4-5 updates a week.

*The Thing is, I’ve been going through a weird funk lately when it comes to this blog. I think it’s probably burn out. I can work on writing stuff fine, but actually drawing it never turns out right.

*The solution to this? I’m taking a brief hiatus to focus on school, my life, and other personal projects. Nothing permanent! I’ll just be gone until October 12th 2022. And then we can get that ball rolling again!

after ss9 in manila, i noticed hyukjae seemed brighter. like you could tell he feels lighter and better. after what happened last august and the aftermath, with the concert being postponed and stuff, i'm sure so many things are weighing on his shoulders. but after their concert in manila, it feels like he finally got his closure.

of course, i wouldn't be surprised if he's still grieving today. but at least after their manila stop and getting his much-needed cheering up from everybody, especially the manila crowd, he was finally able to shed his burdens away even just a little. it's amazing how a moment of closure and support can make a difference. 💙

to have spent more than ten years with little light moments in where life was worth living but the rest of the time being filled with wishes of not being… here, it is soul breaking. to have no passion or not finding joy in anything anymore is consuming. i always tried to focus on the little things that kept me going but those aren’t working anymore. the fact that i can’t even imagine myself past my thirties. and it’s not like i want to un4live mys3lf i just… most of the time, i don’t want to live. i read someone said depression is trying to survive in a body that wants to live, in a mind that wants to die. and it is so tiring to feel like that all the time.

i want casual, everyday autism in shows. i want autistic characters who need sensory symmetry, who casually mimic anyone's touch on one side of their bodies on the other (or who have friends who do it for them). i want a friend with flashcards or signals for when their friend loses speech. i want people on video calls and body doubling when they do jobs. i want people having conversations without eye contact. i want excited stimming. i want to see someone getting really excited about the tiniest thing thats related to a safefood or a special interest. i want casual, everyday autism.
