Employee of the month highlight! Shadow!! (Dexter felt left out so I let him be in the last photo. 😂) I am so appreciative of Shadow and all his help. He was given to me by my good friend and neighbor, John. Due to personal circumstances my friend could not continue to care for Shadow. I couldn’t say no to this amazing dog. And he still gets to see John on visits. 🙂 He’s been an amazing addition to the pack. John took excellent care of him and nurtured a beautiful dog and personality. Shadow is a pure middle of the pack dog, and the definition of happy-go-lucky. Dexter and Shadow are very different when it comes to working with dogs. But both are so helpful in different ways. Dexter will tell me if I can trust a dog or if there is something I should keep an eye out for. He’s very good at picking up even the subtlest body language and energy the dog is giving off. He is also the law enforcer and will correct anyone breaking the rules. While Shadow....well, let’s just say that’s not his expertise. 😂 What he is good at is always being happy. Even when a dog is nervous, scared, aggressive, anxious, etc. Shadow does not change. He doesn’t pay any attention to it. And he is able to bring a lot of these unsure, anxious, nervous, aggressive dogs out of their shell. Thank you to Shadow! And of course Dexter too. As well as my sister’s and brother’s dogs, Gracie and Puck. He's taken to bringing in his client's food himself. It's a little underhanded, to associate something needed, like energon, to his work. Packlov's method, he thinks.

"I'm starving." Sunder says, but he doesn't reach for the energon meticulously detailed to be set beside his left arm. "Won't you let me see you, dear Jailor?"

"I'm sorry Sunder. You know Magnus' orders say you can't have your optics back until you have better control over your abilities." Rung settles in a chair, thumb held out to record. "Before we work on that, I need to understand how your mind functions. Telepathy is difficult to control on a normal day, nevermind when it attributes to your perception of hunger."

"I'll show you, but you must give me my sight back." Sunder pushes, his lyrical tone harsh.

"I can argue for your sight as a reward, but nothing more. First, I do need some compliance. I know it's hard, Sunder, but this is for your own good. You were hurt, terribly, by Froid. We need to undo some that damage and learn to trust one another."

Sunder, his polite wall breaking, spits at him.

People are more likely to change for a dog, than they are for another person. Why? Dogs give UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. It is harder for humans to give unconditional love, but it’s definitely possible. Something I always work towards, is to accept other people’s flaws, even when it causes me stress or pain. Because everyone is battle their own issues and pain. Cesar Millan once said to the students at his fundamental course “people in pain, hurt others”. I wrote down because I don’t want to forget that. This is my lovely client, Amanda’s pack. She works with rescues to foster and help out dogs in need. She definitely foster failed 5 times. 😂 She is such a wonderful, kind, and giving person. And her pack is a bunch of loving, sweet pups.
