Last Snowflake on the Window (D.m x reader)
Pairing- Draco x Fem! reader
Summary- Draco makes a huge mistake and he has lost you, forever.
Warnings- Cursing; angst, pure angst
Writer’s Note- Loosely based on the song All I Want (For Christmas) by Liam Payne. This angst was required. I know I had not written for Draco for a very long time, so here we have an angsty fic. Again, this is not well written. So, bear with it. The moment I heard this song I wanted to write this into a fic so here it is. Do tell me how this was! I hope y’all like it!!

A slight smile forms on his lips as he watches the kids play, tossing snowballs at each other. They seem to be having the time of their lives, and suddenly all the memories hit him. He sighs and rises from the chair facing the window. He'd been like this for a week. Everything made him think of her.
A few weeks ago
It was going to be a beautiful day, but it was ruined when you and Draco started fighting. He was becoming increasingly distant and spending more time with Astoria. You didn't mind at first, but he kept ignoring you and you felt the need to tell him. So you decided to confront him. This only resulted in you both screaming and shouting at each other.
"ALL I ASK OF YOU IS THAT YOU SPEND TIME WITH ME! THAT'S ALL I'M ASKING YOU TO DO," you screamed, choking back tears since you didn't want to appear weak.
"I AM SPENDING TIME WITH YOU. I’M DOING EVERYTHING I CAN." He scoffed, having had enough of your accusations. "Please, Draco, you know exactly what you're doing... you know everything." It feels as though you're losing interest in this relationship." You cried.
"It's not me who's losing interest; it's you, all of you. Why are you so jealous of the fact that I'm spending some time with Astoria? What's the problem with that? I spend the entire day with you, and you don't allow me to see my friends. Get over with it! "
His words pierced through your heart like a dagger. Your only wish was for your boyfriend to spend time with you. Was this too much to ask? This was not the first time this had happened. You set a date for the two of you, just the two of you, last week. You waited so long for him, but he never showed up, and his excuse was that he was studying. You let it slide, but this time he had pushed all the boundaries.
"Draco, I have had enough of this. I do everything that I can, and you just oversee it. You do this to me regularly, and it's not fair... I love you and I respect your boundaries, which I have never crossed, but this-this is too far. I'd like you to spend time with me. " Only the two of us... Tears begin to fall from your eyes.
"You know what?" Enough is enough. Astoria is so much better than you. At the very least, she pays attention to me and does not question the things that I do! "
Those words broke your heart. Was he serious? Were you to blame? All of these thoughts surround you. You were as still as a stone. There were no feelings, only nothingness. You couldn't believe he'd done such a thing. All the promises he made to you were made of lies. All the time you spent together has started to fade away. This was the end.
"You know what, I'm done," you said, tearfully, as you gazed up at him. "I'm done with you and with everything! Fuck you! " You spat in his face and walked out.
Present Day
All of your memories from your time together flashed before his eyes. The way he wraps his arms around your waist to reassure you. The nights when you and your partner would lie down and stargaze and admire each other in the moonlight. With the moonlight rays hitting your face, you looked stunning. He couldn't believe his eyes that he had found such a wonderful girlfriend like you. The taste of your lips had vanished, as had the butterflies he gets whenever you do something nice for him. He couldn't do anything now because it was too late.
He was supposed to spend Christmas with you and your family. Setting up presents under the Christmas tree, making hot cocoa, dancing around the kitchen, pillow fighting, cuddling, waking up next to each other, and everything else you'd do if you were with him.
He walked over to the refrigerator. Even if it was only for a second, drinking was the only way he could forget about you. He couldn't get rid of the guilt he felt for what he said and did to you. He came across a photograph of you and him while passing by with fire whiskey in his hands. You looked stunning in the emerald green gown. This was your first time meeting each other.
He still remembers the day when he offered to dance with you and the two of you danced the night away. The moment was magical; he felt at home; he felt right for the very first time in his life. He was becoming himself day by day by being with her. She made him complete. She was his home.
He stands frozen now, tears streaming down his face, the photograph still in his hands. He wants to burn the piece of paper so there is no trace of you. But he couldn't get away with it with you. He recalled every detail about you. The scent of your perfume, the way it brightens a dark place, like his heart. In return, all he ever did was hurt you because you made him feel alive. He makes a mess of everything. He doesn't even need to try; he screws up all the time, especially with the ones he cares about the most.
He places the photograph on his nightstand and walks over to where he had been sitting. It was snowing when he looked out the window. He thought to himself, "She loved snow." They used to build snowballs and fling them at each other, chasing each other across the snow and forming various snowmen forms. Christmas was always the greatest since she was with him and everything felt secure. When he was with her, he used to live his life to the fullest.
He senses a presence behind him and raises his voice. "Mother, what keeps you awake at this hour?" Narcissa was concerned about Draco not showing up for the Malfoys' Christmas dinner. It was disturbing that he never left his house.
"How long will you think about her?" she inquired. "I don't think I'll ever be able to stop thinking about her," Draco said, tearfully. "You must forget and forgive yourself for your actions." "You can be a better person from now on," she says, her voice concerned.
He said to himself, "I can never forgive myself, never." "How can I forget her? She loved Christmas, and everything makes me think of her."I could never mend what I had damaged." As he sipped his whiskey, his voice lowered to a whisper.
Narcissa could never bear seeing her son go through something like this, and she tried all she could to cheer him up and make him forget about you, but she never succeeded. She had given up trying to make him forget about you. It was hard to remove you from anyone's thoughts. She remembers how cheerful you make the environment. When you were around, everything appeared to bloom.
"If you need anything, just call me," she said with a heavy sigh. She kissed him on the cheek and walked out of his room.
Draco stared blankly towards the glass, and all he ever wanted for Christmas was for you to stay with him forever.
