got bored and wrote out Nuri and Leiko's first encounter.

Nuri stumbled back, just barely dodging the orange swipe of the Sith’s blade. She heard a deep groan from further into the ship - the systems were failing. It would be only a matter of time before it plummeted to the surface of the forest moon.
The Sith seemed to realize this too, pausing mid-attack, his eyes shooting over to his sister. She and Master Shan seemed equally paired in combat, the both of them trying and failing to get through the other’s defenses.
Nuri swallowed, her lightsaber heavy in her hand as she measured the Sith in front of her. They had been fighting since the corridor and he seemed barely out of breath. She could sense his emotions - guilt mixed with focus, mixed with anger. His eyes burned amber.
With a sharp inhale, she lunged and immediately recognized her mistake. The Sith dodged with ease. His hand came down and grabbed her lightsaber arm, twisting it beyond its capabilities. She screamed, fiery pain bursting through her arm. Her lightsaber fell to the ground and deactivated.
The Sith’s shadow loomed above her and she looked up, eyes sparking with tears. Remorse flowed over Nuri, gentle as a wave.
He lunged forward, blade raised. Time slowed. A shock ran through Nuri’s uninjured arm, as if she’d grabbed onto an electric wire. The sharpness ran up from her shoulder and lifted up her hand, barring- No. It was outstretched, as if in offering.
Then a warmth flooded her. She saw flashes of things and people she’d never seen before. An older Twi’lek woman at the end of a dimly lit hall, her eyes filling with tears as she turned her back. A feeling of something irreversibly lost. A red dawn over a red planet. The whir of an orange blade. A scream. Two young children, huddling together as a thunderstorm raged outside their bedroom. A bandage falling away and a younger version of the Sith, gazing at himself in the mirror as he took in the two scars running horizontally across his chest, his face lighting up with something beyond joy. And the face of his sister, then a young girl, covered in blood and shaking as her twin pulled her into a hug.
‘I will protect you.’
As quickly as they came, the visions stopped. Nuri blinked, shaken by the feeling of having lost something while gaining something new, something that fit better in her heart.
Above her, the Sith looked just as shocked, his lightsaber now deactivated and on the ground next to hers. Understanding briefly flitted on his face and he opened his mouth to say something, before a scream ran through the air and the two of them turned sharply to see Master Shan whirring her blade through the air and straight through the other Sith’s arm. It fell to the ground with a thump. The woman screamed again, staring at the smoking stump below her elbow.
‘RIN!’ The Sith beside Nuri howled. His face was twisted up with fury, but she felt none of it.
Nuri was too in shock to move, eliciting only a small groan as the Sith rushed at her Master. Master Shan dodged quickly and retreated away from her victim, face calm. The Sith scooped up his injured twin, his lightsaber flying past Nuri as he pulled it towards him.
Master Shan just watched him, eyes steady. She knew the battle was won. The ship groaned, louder this time. Nuri retrieved her lightsaber and rose, wincing as pain burned through her arm again.
Just as the twins stumbled over to the corridor, Nuri and the Sith’s eyes met. His were blue now, like the sky in the summer on Naboo. She felt a tug in her chest.
Then he and his sister were gone.

He disappointed Levi. You don’t do that to my Blorbo. Jokes aside, he never confided in his supposed friends about his less than selfless motivations, thus missing the opportunity to let them stir him away from his selfishness. Maybe if they had discussed it over the years, the battle of Shiganshina would have played differently, perhaps he would have even gotten earned the serum.

The obvious answer seems to be Levi, but I’m not sure he had any true friends. Relations, perhaps, but I don’t see him drunk at 3 am bemoaning how he let Marie slip away while Hange and Mike pat his back. He’d seem a good friend, he would hold Nanaba’s forehead while she pukes after a night out, but if they all stopped and thought about it they wouldn’t find any instance of Erwin sharing some deep shit about himsef or his past.

I can envision a dark!Erwin scenario in which he likes to groom a young cadet and make them his pet. In my mind he’s either too prim and proper when it comes to sex (straight missionary, little foreplay, whoring ok to get a blowjob bc that’s not proper for a decent woman) or a total predator, I’ve no middle ground. (remember that scene when he whispers something to Mina Carolina? Creepy af.)
unpopular opinion
IDK how much it ranks in terms of unpopularity but I think he’s not a nice person. He may have been in his youth but I think ultimately his obsession with proving his dad right ate the goodness he once had. Of course, that ruthlessness paired with his impeccable demeanor is what allowed him to get where he did. As sad as it is, it does take a monster to get shit done in the big scheme of things. At least he’s a handsome, well-mannered monster.

I don’t usually associate characters to songs... The Bach cello suite #1 in G seems a nice fit though.

I like "The" smile panel in the manga as it's a rare occasion in which Erwins always composed demeanor falls and reveals the real him. That said, if there’s something good to be said about Erwin is that he’s a pretty handsome guy. He gives off a very masculine vibe, and has a natural elegance about him, and which makes for great fanart out there (which I appreciate usually for the Levi attached to most of those arts LOL).

my main otp would be @peacefulapostle‘s paul seed. nuri was spawned and inspired by paul’s history and they have such a plotted out story that he is the central person to nuri’s history in all his verses except maybe his marvel and twd ones. though in twd, that might change after plotting. at least a history there? who knows! but in his far cry (main) verse they were inseparable in their past and now that they are reunited in their present? nuri’s world revolves around paul and keeping him safe while sharing the life he never thought could be so perfect with him. his family (especially in the verses where phillip is there) is the most important thing to him because he grew up without one past the age of five, really. nuri’s main verse centers around that as well as it filtering into some of the other verse in his history.
@artifexed‘s josiah. in nuri’s nyc verse, he searched for paul and came up empty-handed and, finally, left georgia to finish his schooling for psychiatry in nyc. josiah was a meeting in a bar that completely took off from casual to not-so-much even though they wouldn’t admit the depth of their feelings til there was a meltdown, blabbering and subsequent drama afterwards. but now they are balancing out and he is a central figure in nuri’s life helping him grow. they’re pretty supportive of one another. i enjoy the sides of nuri i’ve gotten to develop in this ship that were quite unexpected considering they are very different from his main verse. and it makes both verses even more ooof for me!
@aarontwds‘s aaron in his main and current twd verse(s). they met in georgia in college and though a lot of it is headcanoned so far, they are together in his alexandria verse. there needs to be some plotting to expand on it more. but i wanted to mention him here because i really do love what loren and i started and would love to see it expand further! which it will when we dig in!
to be honest, i love those healthy ships! granted some drama is great and i love me a slow burn with some angst that goes crazy. or even angst inside that we can put our ships through. but those two are my favorites. i never planned on shipping nuri out romantically with a ton of people. i’m open to the possibilities but those are the nearest and dearest as of now!

Thinking about Leiko and Nuri leaving the Order, after they've completed their mission of destroying the mind-control cult Leiko's dad set up. They're both exhausted and jaded, having grown up fighting and being expected to complete their mission no matter what.
They've both been forced to figure out who they are under the constraints of their powers and what's expected of them (Nuri with her empathy powers and feeling everyone else's pain over her own and Leiko breaking his brain-washing and dealing with his wrongdoings as the Wraith). So after Leiko's dad is defeated, they explain it all to Rin and then seek help from Natila (who has powerful links with the underworld).
A rumour is set up, that Leiko and Nuri are presumed dead after their fight with the cult. They leave the Order and find a small, Outer Rim planet to settle on, hidden from the rest of the galaxy.
Leiko plants flowers, Nuri takes her time working through her grief over Mai. And they both rest.

Who loses it first in a fight? Who starts yelling first?
Ymir loses it first. Eventually, the argument will escalate into yelling for both parties.
Who puts their head down and just takes it, because they know the other just needs to get it out?
Krista might have ‘just taken it’, but Historia? No way. Ymir’s taken aback by how aggressive her short girlfriend can be. (It’s kind of impressive, really.)
Who slams doors and yells and stomps away?
Or do they sigh and their shoulders slump, as they walk away, quietly shutting the door behind them? Because sometimes the silent disappointment is worse than any yelling.
Historia will slam the door in Ymir’s face. She doesn’t give a fuck. Ymir scoffs at her abruptness and stomps away, muttering expletives indignantly to herself.
‘Well excuse me, your highness…’
Who sleeps on the couch?
Ymir takes the couch and ends up staying up late either watching TV or playing video games. Historia will nonchalantly return downstairs, sauntering in front of and past Ymir while clad in a skimpy robe and lingerie.
Ymir. Can’t. Look. Away.
And who breaks the silent treatment first, apologizing and begging for a hug?
Ymir would break the silence- if she wasn’t so awe-struck and googly-eyed over Historia’s sexy getup.
Dat ass.
Who breaks down into sobs, saying they aren’t worth it and why are you still here? And who is the one that hold the other, tells them they’re beautiful and that it’s going to be okay, because at the end of the day some stupid fight shouldn’t ruin years of smiles and happiness?
Ymir cries silent tears because of Historia’s cruel teasing. (In another scenarios, they’ll break down together and cling to one another for dear life.) In this case, however, the TV is instantly turned off and Ymir lets out a deep breath, thinking of what to say. Historia beats her to it, approaching her with seemingly purposeful intent.
‘Is there anything you want to say to me before I go back upstairs?’
‘Holy shit, I’m one damn lucky woman.’
‘… wha-…? Hey, Ymir!’
Ymir wastes no time scooping Historia up into her arms, carrying her bridal style to the bedroom.
Historia feigns innocence- but this had been her little plan all along ;)
Is the makeup sex hard and rough and loud pinned up against the wall, biting and sucking marks into each other’s necks because this person is mine dammit
Or is soft kisses and apologies, gentle caresses and touches? Is it telling the other they’re beautiful and amazing and deserve to be loved?
A combination of the two. I would imagine it leans a little more toward the latter. Historia’s kisses leave Ymir utterly intoxicated, and Ymir’s touch is the most beautiful thing Historia’s ever felt.

Big spoon/Little spoon?Thomas is the big spoon, Manu the little spoon. At least like, 80% of the time.
