Feelings of disgust and guilt

I'm not a full vegetarian yet, I had phases of eating less meat, sometimes more (I live at home) and have now cut out meat (and dairy for the most part) from my daily intake. I still eat meat when it is presented to me at dinner (which is still really mostly chicken). I have this weird feeling where I just get disgusted really fast by the whole meat and dairy industry and people consuming it (me included) and it even includes me feeling bad about my closest family member although they are wonderful people. We do not eat meat every day and when I cook it's always vegetarian/vegan but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this same feeling? I really do not like it and honestly it just makes me feel terrible. Probably does not help that I just went deep into a thread were people were berating others for not being vegetarian/vegan.

Note: I am a college student and still live at home.
