I think he's enormously tragic. I love a nice tragedy.

I had codeine tylenol when I had my wisdoms taken out. It sucked.

20 Questions For Fic Writers

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

9 completed works, some of them multichapter but nothing tooo long. one series.

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

More than my actual thesis... that i should have been writing... for my actual work... (almost 85k)

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Ted Lasso and Tedpendent specifically! But I am a multishipper, so you'll find some TrentBeard in there and some TrentRoy too.

I'd love to write for Midnight Mass but I'm scared of how to write all the religious talk. I thought about writing for OFMD and BBC Ghosts but sort of didn't find the inspiration. There's something about TedTrent that just has that sort of grip on my brain I guess!

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

So... Michelle’s Bisexual Bureau of Investigation seems to be the most liked. I mean, it's basically about Trent being a gay disaster on social media so I think many of us out there can relate (it's actually largely based on something I personally did). It was fun to write and I can sort of see why it's a fun read.

Second, third and fourth place we have 🪄The Smut Fics🪄. It's all private on ao3, so you'll need a profile to access them cause, well.

Fifth place we have Bicycle Day Surprisingly Not About Cycling, which is about divorced dads with a mutual crush doing LSD together. 😇 It was so hard to write but I had one (1) idea and had to stick with it!! Also it was for a challenge so I was extra determined to get it out of my system.

Ironically (in the Alanis sense of the term) some of my personal favourites have the least kudos.

5. Do you respond to comments?

Yes! I love recieving comments and I wanna let people know I really appreciate them. Also, I love commenting on fics and treat the comment section on ao3 as a sort of community-building place. People have been so nice and lovely in the comment sections, it's amazing, really.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

The ending is not angsty, cause I like to give some happiness to my fictional babes, but this one is sort of angsty and has the least explicit happy ending: Can you still edit a written book?. It's about Beard and Trent being sad and miserable about Ted leaving and hooking up about it. I also wrote a short sequel here: A different pace. This is a wip series and it's the most emo / earnest i got with fic writing. I don't mind it tho!

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Inside of me there are two wolves. One wants to make a sex joke out of the question and thus recommending smut, the other wants to link a wholesome future fic written from the Crimmlet's pov. The duality of humankind.

All of my fics have happy endings, so I'll re-interpret the question and I'll link A very special Crimmlet Diary entry for Coming Out day because it has a glimpse on a very cute and happy family future for Ted and Trent together.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Only from my own brain when I feel down about my writing! 🙃

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

YES. I. DO.

More open than the jar of peanut butter on my kitchen counter is a multi-chapter multishipping madness of a fic I thought about orphaning many times and which I keep as a testament of my own progress in writing fics. I am still grateful for having had some help with beta-reading it but it's just such a mess and very self-indulgent. There's some fun sexy parts including potentially problematic dirty talk, public sex, platonically holding your hands with your bff while you both get head... Ops.

I also wrote an alternative chapter for it which became a one shot, called Cowboys are secretly frequently fond of each other, which is about Trent getting horny over Ted singing karaoke.

But I think the only one I really like it's You’re an angel I’m a dog (Or you're a dog and I'm your man). It's a nasty (you've been warned!) PWP pup play fic. I just think those men deserve to be freaks once in a while. I debated over publishing this as anon but my lack of shame won.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

No... but I do think Trent deserves boyfriends from every corner of the multiverse.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

No, don't think so.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, but I'd love to. My DMs are open!

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

💙Ted and Trent💙. Truly a perfect ship. My losers. I love them.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

The Midnight Mass AU that lives rent free in my head and that most likely will never see the light of day (...wink wink, pun intended).

16. What are your writing strengths?

I don't know! I think I can be quite funny. And sometimes poetic, even accidentally so, in the way non-native speakers sometimes can be, using language in a different way. I think I can also write pining quite well (gay water sign talent).

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I hate, HATE, writing dialogue. I am terrified of it. I am afraid it will sound fake or artificial. I also feel insecure about English not being my first language and it showing in fics, in them sounding weird somehow. Not seeing mistakes etc. But I also lack the impulse control needed to wait for fics to be beat read and I sometimes just post the second is done. Which. Not ideal.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

The bane of my existence. Hell on earth. Help. (I willfully misinterpret this question and answer implying that all dialogue is in another language for me).

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Somewhere, on EFP (Italian fanfic site) there are some original works of mine from AGES AGO, and even (if memory doesn't fail me) some Harry Potter wips that I hope are long gone, since fuck that TERF and her work.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

Probably the last one I wrote for the AFC Richmond discord server bingo challenge. To love flowing in different directions. it's about queer chosen family and love. It has puns about sex toys, drunken confessions, fantastic wing man action, lots of mutual pining. It was fun to write!

Asdfghjkdfgh w-why yes, I may have one or ten thoughts about them, hi!! Thank you for unleashing my unhingedness :'D

Btw I'm gonna be using mostly the novel for reference here.

So, WRH. First of all, I'd have liked canon info of him, and I know he's just there to fulfil the role of the evil villain during the first part of the story, but I have honestly come to enjoy his character and how ridiculously OP and unapologetic he is. Just a good old classic bad guy that thrives being one.

That being said, I do like that the few info we have also shows that he can care about others. It's very rare and god knows what even are his standards or requirements for that, but something I have discussed with others before is how little he seemed to care about social conventions of his time, like the fact that both MY and WQ were high ranking members of the sect because of their talent and capabilities, and despite being a son of a prostitute and a woman, respectively.

In this vein, i think CQL did him a great diservice putting her and WN in pretty much a hostage situation. That's not to say that he would have take kindly to that branch of the family going against him, but there's a difference between betrayal and actively harming valuable elements for no reason.

(Also the fact that donghua made him a DILF lol)

NOW, going back to the matter of MY, it is very much stated in the book itself that when every other servant had to fall to their knees in WRH's presence, MY was allowed to remain standing and look him in the eye. I know this was just to show how good a job he did earning WRH's trust but asdfghjsdfghj it still does things to my brain!!!

Just how impressed and pleased was WRH with MY to allow him to be so close and take so many liberties??? Also when NMJ was captured and MY was taunting him, WRH intervened when it seemed like NMJ could harm MY. LIKE. I think we can all agree that WRH would be very capable of just letting a random drone be killed for his entertainment, but ACTUALLY and ACTIVELY getting MY out of harm's way??? And they even joked about that together afterwards AAAAHHHH!!!

LISTEN

I don't think it's a stretch to assume that WRH could have seriously considered MY as his new heir since his sons were dead. I mean, the guy probably thought that he would live forever but STILL. And in any case... MY could have been Wen furen.

Like. C'mon!! MY is the poster child of daddy issues (alongside JC), you telling me that he wouldn't have thrived with an older man that recognized his talent and encouraged his natural drive and ambition instead of looking down on him for not staying as the bottom feeder he was "born" to be??? If MY would have changed sides, they would have conquered the world!! And THAT'S what I love so much about this ship!!

Ok, I'm a crazy allyao multishipper, but I have a HUGE soft spot for the ship that would have given MY everything he wanted: safety, power, recognition and care without him having to either give up his ambitions or turn the other cheek and be diplomatic bc society was never going to see him as a worthy person. But as the partner of WRH??? No one would ever be so stupid as to look at him weird ever again!! That's something no other ship can do for him: give him the head of anyone who disrespects him or his mom!!

Also there's this post iirc about how the good guy love interest would always choose what's right over you, but a bad guy love interest would set the world on fire for you and honestly? My poor little meow meow deserves that level of insane devotion after everything he had to go through and how devoted he can be in turn ;u;

I'm into arts and crafts! I mainly draw digitally, but sometimes I paint, and I plan to start making fur suits soon!

I love to roleplay and talk about my hyperfixations. Talking about headcanons is an excellent way for me to connect with others!

I‘m a multishipper with most of my fandoms, but sometimes I'm more set and stone, depending on the fandom.

A warning to anyone who may end up befriending me: I go on rants. Typically, they're happy rants about my hyperfixations. For example, my girlfriend had to sit through a 10-minute rant about me explaining all the reasons why Prince Nuada is the best Hellboy villain and even one of my all-time favorite villains.

Just…Don’t mention 2019 Hellboy around me. That sparks a not-so-happy rant session. I hate that movie…….

I fucking LOVE aquatic life. Sm.

~~ Roleplay rules ~~

For those who are interested in roleplaying with me, here's some basic stuff to keep in mind.

I do NOT allow:

Mentions of SA, SH, gr*oming, or anything like that. Dead dove stuff is a no-no.

Acting out domestic abuse. Mentions of it is fine, but I will not roleplay it.

Characters randomly getting terminally ill. I lost my dad to cancer, and believe it or not, people have tried forcing it into roleplays before without asking me about it.

Killing off important characters without asking first.

Controlling my character is a no-no. If you need my character to do something for the sake of your reply, please tell me ooc.

I roleplay on Discord, and I do not roleplay with people under the age of 18.

Script roleplay.

Op characters. Strong, yes, op, no.

I DO allow:

Smut/NSFW. The plot can't surround it completely, though.

Double ups.

Gore and violence (to a certain extent)

Angst.

B x B, B x G, G x G, and Poly relationships.

Canon x Canon is preferred. I only do OC roleplays with people I'm close to.

Etc.

I encourage:

Communication ooc. Talking about plot points, headcanons, and potential scenes is a lot of fun for me!

Expressive roleplay is excellent. Don't be scared to hold back character personalities! If my character says something your character would hate, don't hesitate to have them rebel! I love it when people get super in character during roleplay!

If you want to draw a scene from the roleplay, idm that, too! I may even draw scenes from roleplays!

Don't be shy when talking ooc! I still like to make conversation when I'm too tired to roleplay!

I love creativity and descriptiveness. You don't ALWAYS need to be at 100%, though! Don't feel pressured to write extremely long replies if you're too tired or just don't know what to say.

Yeah, I was honestly surprised by how popular Thomceit is, but it's great that it is, it's an awesome ship! Though on the topic of Anathomceit, and I say this in only the most loving and positive way: Janus doesn't deserve that, the poor man would have his hands full enough with one boy who's bad at caring about himself- anyways, no, Anathomceit is a STELLAR concept and I do think Thomas deserves two overprotective and (in my personal headcanons,) clingy boyfriends.

Oh, and thank you hibiscus anon! My taste in Sanders Sides ships is something I cannot quantify (I'm a multishipper but I don't ship all the ships, and which ones I do ship feel random even to me-) but I'm glad that you find it good!

(also Thomgan is absolutely a top tier ship, great taste op!)

Sero for the ask game

SERO MY BOY MY SON I LOVE HIM SO MUCH <3333 this is mostly gonna be me rambling on about him because brain latched onto him a while back as many ppl know

favourite thing about them:

his sense of humor and what a great addition to the bakusquad dynamic he is! he's also a very relatable character! (well for me at least, being a sero kinnie) his insecurities could hopefully play a role in his character growth, (by that i mean it would be so cool to see him overcome them) and i'd love for him to have an arc of his own!

least favourite thing about them:

this is a very personal preference but. his hair. needs. more. poof. i just think it looks so good when artists draw him with hair with more body but that's just me. in terms of canon, it's probably to do with that one scene in the licensing exam after sero hears about toga/camie having no clothes on and just stops functioning and starts shaking midoriya like ??? .again. personal preference but like. we don't need more dudes with mineta syndrome in 1a pls i beg. luckily, this is a very minor thing in terms of his character and its barely mentioned throughout the show.

favourite line:

BROTP: bakugo. their dynamic is so good, and they're pretty much polar opposites in their own way, and contrast can be really nice in a friendship! plus, they even have funny little moments in canon!

as for anyone outside bakusquad, i'd say maybe koda! i just think they'd make a really cute friendship, since sero's so friendly and koda probably has trouble making friends!

OTP: i have three main ones for him, actually! (i'm in multishipper hell <33)

1. the beloved, the one, the only seroroki

do i even need to explain this one,, they're both so cute together. sero called todoroki "roki" in the s5 dub, and canonically borrows todoroki's manga, which means they probably interact often offscreen too. in one of the ops/outros, i forget which, they have this cute little moment where sero sees todoroki walking by on his phone <33 oh yeah and kirishima literally calling them by their ship name in the manga <333

2. seroyama!

these two are very beloved as a pair <33 flamboyant x jokester beloved <3333

i have a little collection of screencaps for these two, i love them very much :]

3. i also ship sero with the bakusquad as like a qpr <333 they're very dear to me :]

NOTP: honestly, i think sero fits well with most characters, but i don't ship him and tsuyu. i just don't think their personalities would work in a relationship, but i'm saying that very vaguely, as they don't interact often.

random headcanon: i could ramble but i shall refrain. a headcanon i have is that sero wears a crystal earring in his right ear that mina gave him! (i hc her as a crystal enthusiast)

unpopular opinion: his design is not boring! i mean, compared to some other characters, quite a few of them have natural hair colours and such, so it's not like he stands out because he's a black sheep. i actually really like how his eyes are drawn, and he makes some fun expressions, and his personality is definitely not boring at all!

Favourite character to write?

Almost certainly Remus. He has that delightful blend of total honesty, angst, and a sprinkle of chaos. He’s incredibly adaptable in stories as well, which helps! But I think I also secretly love the fancy language for Logan, and I’m always going to love a bit of Patton because he’s very soft!

Favourite ship?

Yo I hoard ships, I am a multishipper extraodinaire. If there is a good fic or headcanon or piece of art I will consume it and thank the OP for the pleasure. That being said I do lean towards anything involving Remus because y’know, he’s my boy! And I LOVE the rare ships. Polycules are also so good because the mixed dynamic is so interesting!

Platonic ships are included here, because y e s.

AUs you’d like to see but don’t want to write?

I mean probably the angsty stuff? I’m just not super good at angst these days, I love fluff too much, but I love reading the angstier things. And any AU with clever OCs, because I am not much of an OC creator but some of the best fic out there has all these intricate, delicious OC sides and a really well written OC is like a fancy cocktail- super exciting and a real treat!

ALSO anything longer than maybe a few chapters, because HOW DO PEOPLE DO THAT (you guys with longform fic are absolute legends I swear)

What sort of fic do you like?

Wow that’s like, broad. I mean, if I’m a multishipper then I’m equally an opportunist when it comes to what I read! If it’s well written then I’m in, pretty much. Anything that makes me feel something generally also gets a big old star from me, fluff or angst or h/c or gen or big aus or short slice of life stuff... it’s all golden! I also love to read the sort of stuff that isn’t necessarily technically perfect, the odd grammatical mistake or the flow isn’t 100%, but someone is pouring love into their writing and wanting to share a story they care about, because a) that’s how you improve and b) it’s really damn beautiful to see :)

What's your favourite character and ship to read?

Again- yes to all??? It might be easier to do a few eliminations, but even then I will still read these if the fic is right!!

So, Logince isn’t a super big ship for me (but I have actually written some Logince and there is some bangin stuff for the ship out there that deserves lots of love)? Same with Analogical, and perhaps Moxiety and Anxceit. So huh, that makes most of the Virgil ships, I guess! I think with Virgil I just crave him getting so much platonic love that I tend not to seek out the ships, but that’s definitely not because I don’t like them!! Platonic ships get an immediate gold star though, and I love new family combinations between the sides because that can be very fun to read the dynamics of.

I love all of the characters, hands down. Remy is a secret fave that I’d love to see more of as a special mention though!

I'm not a multishipper at all. I try and the best I can do is get a vauge understanding of why people like my NOTPs. 90% of my mutuals are so you can imagine my absolute JOY when I could finally block tags. Here's the problem: people who don't tag. I was forced to block someone I enjoyed following because they started filling their blog with a NOTP and not tagging it. I know it's dumb to cut off someone because of shipping but my NOTPs make me feel physically ill ahhhhh

The new tag system should work on op’s tags too! So even if your mutuals don’t tag stuff, so long as the op of the source post tagged it properly, it should still be filtered out. Idk if maybe it wasn’t working for you at first, but give it a test to see if it works that way you don’t have to block people that you like following

since i've scrolled far below but has yet to see other rusame ger//ita post ^_^; but even for that post, the op clearly state ger//ita in the body so xkit blacklist should block that on your dash even though i didn't tag it as so.

or could you maybe tell me the id post of the reblog you refer to?

anw, i'll take note for the future! sometimes i got lazy tagging post with multiple pairing bc i figure no one would mind other pairings untagged as long it doesn't conflict with rusame, haha.

but I guess some alfred multishipper (like i know some of you ship both rusame and ger//ame) would mind pairing like ger//ita so i understand your concern and would remember to tag ger//ita ^_^;

but usually i'd tag ger//ita though so don't worry. except for the case where ger//ita is the side pairing in fanfic and i haven't read it yet, i apologize beforehand if i couldn't manage to tag it as soon as i reblog bc usually i reblog fics for reading later.
