If Hannigram do end up having sex in s4 or s5, do you think Will is going to dom Hannibal?

On the one hand: I don’t think there’s going to be a s4/s5 at this point and I’m fine with that. I don’t enjoy a lot of what’s been floated as planned for future seasons and I’m skeptical of how much of that was ever really going to be on the table just because of how making a TV show works. Idk what we’ll see or not see there. On the other hand: that means I and every other writer/artist/fan has a blank check for what they would want to see in that time frame. I can’t say what I think we would see but I can definitely hold forth at length about what I would write if I were somehow in charge of the Official Hannigram Paddling Sequence.

The thing that makes any kind of dominance/submission dynamic between them so fraught is of course all the very unsimulated betrayal and violence, but a lot of things could conceivably happen after that game changer s3 finale. So taking it for granted that they finally recognize that they do in fact want to fuck each other, and in the alternate universe where they’re permitted to fuck nasty, I do think Will could and would dom Hannibal — but it would be with their customary level of 4D-chess mind games in play. Hannibal submitting to anybody (and I do think he has wonderful subby moments, especially with Bedelia) is always like one of those optical illusions where the silhouette of a vase is produced by the negative space between two faces. They both know what he’s capable of and what he’s done in the past, so what he’s not doing is as important to the scene as what he *is* doing.

So without further ado, because I did 100% ask for weird Hannigram sex asks, here are some thoughts on yaoi weird Hannigram sex. (Content note: discussion of risk-aware consensual but undernegotiated kink, sex, elements of consensual non-consent, hypothetical consent issues/canon-typical mental cruelty.)

I do think Will would have a lot of complex emotions and desires to unpack in a sexual encounter where a consensual(ish) exploration of fantasy is the whole point, and that Hannibal would be receptive to that — one of my favorite flavors of dom!Will is with Hannibal really gratified by and getting off on the darker emotions Will would be more hesitant to explore during a sex/kink scenario with someone who, bluntly, he didn’t feel on some level deserved it. (Or as Hannibal might prefer to frame that, was worthy of those emotions.) He has a lot of real anger to tap into and I think the exploratory and experimental space of kink would allow him to express and come to terms with some of his more contradictory impulses where Hannibal’s concerned. That kind of kinky theatrical engagement lends itself to dialogue and exploration, kind of a horny improv comedy situation where two people conspire together to bring each other pleasure and catharsis, which I think Will might, if he could get past all his turbo guilt, enjoy. The fact that Hannibal enjoys the *thought* of Will hurting him physically (up to the point of… yk, murder) precludes that being really satisfying as pure revenge, but it also gives Will a kind of permission to get pretty wild with it while still feeling love and tenderness for this guy. I also think Will’s weird reciprocal powers of imagination and empathy would make a funky feedback loop between him and a partner with appropriately complicated kinks — identifying what gets somebody off and why, then getting off on getting them off on a deep and intimate level. It’s the more benign version maybe of getting satisfaction out of perceiving what will hurt Hannibal most (in the unsexy, unwanted, non-negotiated sense) and then doing exactly that. Sapiosexuality but for only being able to get off on probing the inner workings of very conceptually complicated fetishes.

The real impediment besides Will’s own guilt (and any painful emotions he might have surviving that s3 finale) would be Hannibal’s irresistible need to poke and prod at other people’s brains. I don’t love the way people use the pejorative sense of “topping from the bottom” — too often it’s so ill defined that it gets into ugly essentialist territory and I think overstepping the bounds in a kink scene can go in any direction, it’s not fine when a dom oversteps either — but Hannibal is not really great at respecting limits and he’s fully capable of going too far and inflicting unwanted mental cruelty even if he’s totally physically immobilized. (In fact, it’s kind of the character’s thing, arguably.) So getting Hannibal to play nice long enough for Will to play with him at all would be tough, but not impossible with the right incentives.

If they can engage in that dynamic as sort of co-conspirators and collaborators instead of being genuinely adversarial I think they could both get a lot out of being on either side of the equation. (This goes for sex in general, I think, I don’t see either of them as a die-hard exclusive top or bottom. Hannibal would have pretentious thoughts about this and about the complexities of power and pleasure while I think Will, under ideal conditions, would enjoy the flexibility of switching roles and exploring different sides of himself.) Hannibal has a whole worthy-opponent thing which is very wonderfully horny so I think he’d get off a lot on being forced/yk, “””forced””” to submit if that meant similarly forcing/“forcing” Will into being brutal with him (with whatever level of real vs. play-acted resistance) and Will would get off on having a designated space (if never exactly a safe space given Hannibal’s a dangerous guy) to explore his capacity for violence without the fear of losing control of himself or of hurting somebody who’s not fine with being hurt under those conditions. I uhhhhh have a fic where post-s3 Will consensually hunts down Hannibal for sport and fucks him when he catches him so I have lots of thoughts about how they could conceivably bone. Either of them can perform their dominance of the other purely verbally but I feel like this pairing/dynamic combo pairs well with rough body play/impact play, verbal humiliation of a horny variety, ruined orgasms, orgasm denial, rope bondage, and de facto honor bondage/compelling him to endure uneasy positions of anticipation and expectation. (“Hold perfectly still while I shave you even though you know I could fully cut your throat with your own stupid expensive straight razor” 👌👌👌👌) Lots of emotions and skirting different types of edgeplay. Invoking the real nuclear option(s) in terms of their respective relationship insecurities/traumas would escalate things in an unsexy way neither of them would enjoy, but Hannibal enjoys being seen by Will and Will could get a strong reaction out of him without even laying a hand on him. Or while laying hands on him very sparingly. Special Investigator Graham, you must simply edge 👏 that 👏 man. 👏

It’s always a touchy situation between them and I don’t think it would get any less touchy with them on the run together, but I can imagine lots of possibilities for the two of them to explore their complicated feelings for each other through the time honored medium of bossing a hot older man around sexually.

I can definitively whittle the options down to two big ones:

Death May Die is best for sheer Happily Ever After catharsis factor. It's a big old classic supernatural lit crossover and basically an AU take on The League of Extraordinary Gentlefolk webcomic currently being made.

Extinction, Emerging is best for the undiluted ecstasy of the shock ending. Note, this is another The Magnus Archives fic. And it's probably the most hopeful and joyous thing I have ever or will ever write.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Nothing I've received personally in comments/inbox

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I can do smutty scenes and paint in erotic strokes here and there, but even then I don't think what I publish is enough to qualify strictly as smut. More horror/drama with sexual bits peppered around.

When it does sneak in, it's usually there as a flavoring to the larger story or atmosphere. In Kiss Him No More, sex is used both as a predatory act that Dracula plans to inflict out of petty vengeance and possessiveness, and a contrasting act of love and mutual care between Jonathan and Mina. When I write eroticism, I treat it like fire--only as tender or terrifying as its use.

That said, I have written notes and vignettes about some significantly raunchy goings-on, both happy and horrifying, that have never seen the light of day. Time will tell if that changes. ;)

10. Do you write crossovers?

Yep! The League of Extraordinary Gentlefolk was the foundation for three of my biggest and favorite fics in the The Adventures of Jonathan Harker and the Strange Old Men series, and that comic-in-progress is itself a growing medley of Victorian era classic literature characters.

I am so good at making words. So many, many words.

Too many words. Brevity and I are only rarely in the same room together and even then it's because I locked the door and ate the key.

Oh, I follow that enchanted tulle author on AO3 and so far she/he only writes very few stories, but boy, does she/he love politics so much.

I always find authors who write heavy stuff are awesome because it's a difficult topic to write. I mostly read fluff stories because I think my boys Wangxian need some fluffy moments after the whole chaos in their lives.

Do you like fluffy stories even though LWJ isn't mean there? I can recommend some, but well, they are very fluffy, all happy, no angst 😁

I do read fluff! Also I'm a sucker for happy endings. Very rarely do I enjoy a fic with a bad end - I need that catharsis of everything being resolved. I don't actually read much dark fic in this fandom because my flavor of dark fic isn't particularly catered to.

Not ranked in any way, and absolutely not all my favorites, just those I tagged good enough in my 10k bookmarks to find, but some of my favorite fics are there! (Most are finished, those that aren't can be safely said to have been among my favorites from the first paragraph on.)

17) ahhaha part of this might be the effect of recency, but i've loved writing sasuke. you know how you read other people writing a character and in your head it's like 'well, that's good but i'd do it like this--'

that's been writing sasuke. he's a complex character, not least because of the narrative framing of canon, and i've so very much wanted to give him the catharsis i wish he'd had. he's also just so fucking funny.

18) it's not a secret, writing itachi was like pulling teeth for me. i love me a freak, but he's not my preferred brand of freak. also, trying to nail his narrative style for the pov ch, where he's super formal and almost flowery in his internal dialogue versus abrupt and sort of stilted in his speech, was really challenging. (big kudos to @vermillioncrown bc they were my vibe-check that whole ch for him.) he's also a genius or whatever but SOOOOOOO stupid in basically every way that counts, especially in understanding people, that i was just making 'WARRRRGHHHH' noises at my laptop half the time bc he's so fucking dumb and so fucking cruel.

i honestly prefer the kinds of characters who are either purposefully cruel and sort of relish it, or the ones who are knowingly cruel and regretful about it because it's a necessary side-effect of their actions. itachi is utterly oblivious to just how/what flavor of cruel he is, it's nearly an accident, and it really grinds my gears. like, if you're going to be evil, at least be more self-aware??????

LAST MOVIE ✦ The Count of Monte Cristo (2002). I rewatched it recently with my brother. I cannot help, but enjoy movies on revenge like this one. Some terrible ancient part of me just craves to see revenge done successfully. I oddly feel some catharsis and enjoyment watching him and the friends he made destroy the people who wronged him. I am also an absolute sucker for a romance between two people forced apart by circumstances to the point they make assumptions and believe their romance cannot return-- BUT IT DOES!!! Because deep down they love each other still after all these years and recognize details about each other. Also, the outfits of Edmond Dantes sincerely fuck. Also, you cannot pay me to read the original source material. It is scuffed and I am uncomfortable with the VERY POORLY AGED parts of it.

LAST THING GOOGLED ✦ DND 5e Divination Wizard. Some old friends of mine said I was either that or a Chronurgy Wizard. Please be gentle, I will die from the smallest amount of damage. Yeah, sure, I can cast magic that bends time and lets me take a peek at people's past and future, but the moment you poke me with a finger in a key spot I WILL DIE.

CURRENT OBSESSION ✦ A new story idea for a comic! It's about an elite magic user who literally becomes a living library by using her body to store a bunch of magical tomes to smuggle them out of a magic organization which is trying to heavily regulate magic use in the country. Her running away becomes a whole journey where she realizes the organization she once believed in is horridly broken and how the state of the world looks like beyond her cute little office. She learns more about the challenges in her dream to see magic on every street corner, such as the need for effective and understanding teachers, the difficulty of teaching itself, and the way someone's class and quality of life affects the ease of learning. Not only is she made to reconsider previous ideas, but the reckless choice to become a living library has its own set of negative effects on her being and she is being actively hunted down by her own previous comrades. Oh there's also this cute handsome farmer who actually reads tomes and uses magic against regulations. The organization has long wanted to take him down. He's gruff, but is an absolute nerd.

Well. Well well well.

It’s December 14th, 2022.

And, I don’t know if you know this, but today is an important anniversary. What is it, you may ask? Don’t fret - I will tell you.

It’s only the ten year anniversary of the publication of my favorite Arthur/Eames fic of all time! And, having read it several times throughout those ten years, I have a lot of things to say about it. So sit back and relax as I wax poetic on this amazing fucking story. Cheers!

(It should go without saying but, spoilers!)

Emotion. Let’s start there, because it might be the hardest to quantify in any sort of simplistic way. The first third or so of the story, mainly set up until you get to the real MEAT, is just a building lamentation of a relationship so far out on the rocks it’s practically lost at sea. And it hurts, man. Not only because A/E is one of my forever ships and I’ve read so many happy fics of them over the years, but also because it feels real. Not contrived in any way.

And emotions segues nicely into my next point: characterization. Simply, it is on point. Their issues and arguments are very real too, and seem to come from places of genuine hurt, but also deep love. Neither one is right or wrong. That moment when Arthur articulates one of his deeper hurts - that despite his best efforts to be a good partner, Eames still pulled away from him - oof. Almost an actual physical pain in my heart. Fanon!Arthur has always been incredibly relatable to me, and seeing/reading him being so vulnerable? Ouch, but in the best way.

As for the plot, and tropes therein, it’s a real keeper. One of my absolute favorite types of stories, particularly romantic stories, are the ones of relationships repaired, set anew, but not forgetting what came before. I call it ‘relationship kintsugi.’ Kintsugi, if you don’t know, is the art of repairing broken pottery with gold lacquer. The bowl (or cup or plate) is fixed up to work good as new, but the cracks are still visible. And one could argue that the reminder of previous breaks only strengthens the overall shape of the pottery. In the relationship version, it’s the idea that no matter the fracture, there’s always a chance to build it back up. Build it up, but leave the gold lines to remind yourself that you don’t want to go back to the same relationship you had before - you want it to be better (which is pretty much an exact quote from Eames in this story). And of course, setting it at Christmas time and New Year, traditionally a time of togetherness and new beginnings, is just the icing on an already delicious cake.

One more thing I appreciate about the plot is its pacing. No element feels rushed or misplaced. From their initial argument, to their gradually increasing intimacy, to their first post-breakup kiss, to their lovemaking, to the ending. It’s believable at every step of the way. And the slow build up makes the eventual catharsis of the above moments almost explode off the page.

Some other personal favorite moments for me:

When Eames first calls Arthur after getting snowed in. Arthur, still feeling raw and hurt both from their argument/break up and from thinking Eames has been cheating, wonders aloud if Eames doesn’t have ‘somewhere else’ he could stay (obviously thinking about his lover); Eames’ answer is a quietly confused “uhhhh no?”

The initial hashing out of their issues. The entirely necessary purging of razor-sharp emotions that leaves both in a heap on the floor, especially Arthur.

“There was never anyone else - it was always you, Arthur.” And any other time Eames makes it crystal clear that no matter what, he wants no one else.

The exchange of meaningful gifts, that leads to two very important kisses.

The tiniest of tiny details, like Eames’ love of peach yogurt. Now, whenever I see that flavor, I think of this story.

The small moments that lead them to sharing a bed again at last (though at that point, only for literal sleeping together).

“Can I take you to bed, my love?”

The ending. I’m spoiling a lot of this fic, but I’m not spoiling that. Tremendous.

I think I might have said all I needed to say. Or all I could say. Articulating feelings is hard for me sometimes. And when the feels are particularly strong, doubly so. Hence why I hardly ever leave comments on fics - it’s not that I didn’t love the fic, it’s just that I have no earthly idea what to say. So if the ending to this little essay feels at all abrupt, now you know why. Put simply, I adore this story. It’s everything I could ever want in a romance - established relationship (but one that feels new thanks to being rebuilt), realistic emotions, characters being expanded upon far far more than anything in their canon universe, a slow burn that never lingers too long, and of course, a highly cathartic happy ending.

It’s as perfect as fanfiction can get, and it’s my unequivocal and inimitable favorite Inception story of all time. I can’t believe it’s ten years old today. If you haven’t already, please give it a read.

(side note: I hope I haven’t thoroughly embarrassed the author by being a tad overzealous in my love for this fic! If so, I apologize; ten years is a long time for me to build up appreciation for your skill, my friend.)

13. What is a subject matter that is incredibly difficult for you write about? What is easy?

I think it's dark angst or intense angst. I have a visceral feeling of revulsion and abject terror thinking about torture of all kinds, and to me, reading about someone suffering for an extended period of time, and I mean really suffering, not just pining while staring out the window and crying, but like, being abandoned, being abused, being held captive, or literally tortured, to me, that's impossible. It's just very very hard for me, and I don't enjoy it in fic either. I totally and completely understand my friends' fascination with it, or enjoyment of it, or how many people find catharsis and processing through really intense angst, but I can't go there.

Easiest? Romance. Sex is sort of fraught and anatomical, and a bit embarrassing for me. But romance is just easy peasy street. I love soft eye contact, and accidental hand touches, and writing about the slow and careful bearing of one person's soul to another. Sigh. Swoon. So easy to do.

26. How do you get into your character’s head? How do you get out? Do you ever regret going in there in the first place?

I just make believe they're me. It's really that simple. I imagine myself as a grizzled, male, 50-something alcoholic ship's captain who's consumed with lust for his so-pretty-it-should-be-illegal-ship's-steward, and then add my own flaws and issues to that character/those characters. I also use my own sense of humor, in the flavor of the character, and am very comfy imagining myself as male bodied.

I also swap and imagine myself as the fawn eyed, raven haired ship's steward, completely, relentlessly dedicated to his gruff, alcoholic ship's captain, and then too, I give the character my own characteristics.

I have a few times added in issues or problems or flaws that I haven't personally experienced, and when I do, I hope to always be respectful and as accurate as my ADHD brain will let me research.

35. What’s your favorite writing rule to smash into smithereens?

Literally? Starting sentences with "And".

I'm screaming I think you put him as Jolie in the AU and I could not stop thinking about how cool it is with their parallels as he was giving their statement.

I'm obsessed with the fear that tma paints don't get me wrong, but nothing about that episode was about the fear or the horror really. I mean there was the ritual half gone wrong but that truly was not the main feeling that I got as gerry was talking.

It was this deep flavor of catharsis. This man who'd been wrapped up in a life that he didn't want even as a boy, as a teenager who was trapped there none the less. It was a guy who was stuck knowing the horrors of this world and knowing that he could do nothing but watch his mother chase after them.

It was a story that had to end in tragedy because even after his death he was haunted by his life and his mother and his actions and his family as a whole. Because damn he hated his mother, he resented (ah fuck what was her name, Mary? I wanna say Mary) her all his life but he could not stop her from continuing her practices. He was hurt by her again and again and again.

And his death scene. His death death scene, where Jon burned his pages as a farewell? Gah!! I just. Gerry Kaey was a gorgeously written and played character. I think he might be one of my favorites--and not because the others are bad--but because of his tragedy so clearly written as one that he could not get out of.

What was it that Tim said? People don't make the choice to be in the middle of this stuff, just that they have plain bad luck? Yeah. That's Gerry Keay and I mourn him for not only his death but also his life.

Biweekly Media Roundup

- Avatar: The Way of the Water (Movie) - My brother was hyped to see this so I went with him in my first theater going experience in a while. I’m not really qualified to talk about the problematic politics of the film, so personally my pros were stunning visual effects and environments, interesting alien designs and lore, and some fun whale bonding, while my cons were the dragged out length (especially in the extended whale hunting and ending action scene), mostly flat characterization, and some weird character decisions regarding the character “Spider” and the way people interact with him. I do think this was a bit better than the first one since the focus was on the alien characters and the Ocean tribe was a bit more interesting than the forest one, so I’m glad I saw it, though it’s more of a spectacle than a lasting experience. So uh in short I don’t care much for the story but I’d love to see the concept art designs.

- Glass Onion (Movie) - I’m not really sure what I expected from this but I liked it quite a bit. It kept me guessing on the mystery, I liked the protagonist, there's some fun dialogue, and who doesn’t appreciate a “fuck the rich” message. You don’t have to see the first one to watch it so if you’re in the mood for a fun mystery check it out. I don’t say this about most things but I’d be cool with this becoming a franchise, just Blanc solving various mystery’s and humiliating rich assholes in his funky little outfits.

- Chainsaw Man (Anime) - It’s so good to finally find another show that fits in with the flavor of weirdo casts as JJBA, Golden Kamuy, Dorohedoro and the like. I genuinely don’t know where the plot is going next which makes for a great watching experience, and so far I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much I like each new freak they introduce to the main cast. Makima still has my heart as the gaslight gatekeep girlboss that she is, and the Devil designs are really cool, I can’t wait for the season finale tonight.

- Spy X Family (Anime) - Definitely one of my favorite anime this year, super wholesome, lovable characters, great comedy and reaction faces, stunning animation, this show’s got it all. My one complaint is that some of the more over the top side characters really overstayed their welcome but for the most part the cast was very solid and I could definitely see myself doing a rewatch in the near future for some easy catharsis.

- Mob Psycho 100 (Anime) - The end of an Era, Mob is definitely one of my fave animes of all time and some of the best messaging and best written child characters I’ve ever seen, I’m going to miss it but I’m glad it stayed strong to the end and wrapped up in a thematically cohesive way. Cheesy as it is I believe that the excellent execution of Mob’s “deep rooted message of self acceptance and self worth that tears down the ideology that only ‘naturally talented’ people have a place in society and instead gives worth to everyone regardless of who they are because it is our impact on our fellow people and our ability to be a good person that truly matters” (as the Shrek meme says) has made me a happier person. 10/10 essential watching for all anime fans.

- Project Eden’s Garden (Video Game) - Several youtubers I like put out reviews and or/ playthroughs of this fanmade Danganronpa game, so I did a watch through of the prologue. It’s intriguing so far, I like a lot of the character designs and had fun trying to figure out their animal influences, and thought the writing was pretty solid for a setup. I’ll defenitely watch more when it comes out, Danganronpa isn’t for everyone but I always have fun trying to predict each cases victim/killer and I doubt this’ll change that.

- The S Classes That I Raised (TV) - Trying to resist the urge to just read the webnovel given how much joy I find in the weekly updates but I’m pretty into this one right now, very excited to see what new little creatures Han Yoojin will befriend.

- Sense8 (TV) - Started this old supernatural drama about 8 people living all over the world whose minds become psychically linked. It is very interesting to see the diverse stories set across various cultures and with 8 separate plots happening there’s always something interesting in each episode. I do wish there were less sex, like I’m not sex negative or anything but uh I’m here for the plot and there's just a lot of sex scenes that make watching it with my sibling a little awkward. My favorite stories so far are Nomis, Suns, and Capheus while Rileys and Wolfgangs are a little eh.

- Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint (Webnovel) - I would fit right into the world of ORV because much like all the characters in it I cannot stop thinking about Kim Dokja and how badly I simultaneously want to punch him in the face and give him a hug. Stupid little rat boy.

I also watched Hook (movie), Predestination (movie), Groundhog Day (Movie), along with my normal amount of various youtube videos.

- bro you guys are popping the biggest bottles, it is going to be a party of a life time. your life is taking a turn for the better, that’s something red believes deserves a full celebration. he’s not usually one for something so physically taxing, parties for him tend to be casually chilling with a flew close friends. to him, leaving behind a toxic environment is a great accomplishment, one he will happily get off his ass to celebrate.

- he’s usually a pretty frugal guy, he doesn’t like spending big bucks. not tonight though, he’ll wholeheartedly consider renting a limo if you’re down for it. he’s never been in one, but it sounds like a blast and a half. everything is on him, you aren’t paying for anything.

- if you’re not down for big celebrations, no big deal. something smaller he’d do is buy some take out from your favorite place, find a hill in the middle of nowhere, and set off some fireworks while y’all eat a good meal. if you’re cool with it, he’d probably pull up reviews on google of your old workplace and dramatically read them out loud, like your own personal roast sesh.

edge

- good thing you quit your job. if you told edge any of the dirty details, it’s very likely he would have “taken matters into his own hands”. he’s very happy for you and absolutely believes this calls for a celebration.

- edge doesn’t have a lot of experience with parties, a fact he will expect you to be surprised by considering he is very popular and highly sought out, so he will keep things lowkey. with your permission, he will make a facebook post singing your praises and absolutely condemning your old workplace. a majority of his facebook friends are neighborhood moms who’s kids he babysits, so trust me, you have an army on your side.

- as much as he’d like to cook for you, he cooks for you every night, and celebrations should be special. he takes you out to the best fine dining restaurant he can find (if you check his google history he literally searched “BEST FANCY RESTAURANT NEAR ME”) and makes sure you’re well fed and well taken care of. he later buys you a gift, with advice given by said neighborhood moms, to show you how proud he is of you.

stretch

- he’s super proud and crazy happy for you, this is great. a new chapter in your life that will lead to bigger and better things. stretch’s idea of a celebration is driving past your old workplace and making faces at it. that’s what he calls catharsis. he definitely wanted to egg the building, and depending on how cool you are with that, the two of you do, or you easily shut him down.

- to celebrate, stretch bakes you a cake, whatever flavor you want. the two of you can run to the store and pick out the ingredients. even something as small as grocery shopping he makes a total blast. you’ve barely been in the store five seconds and you’re both leaning on each other in the freezer section, laughing so hard neither of you can breath.

- the cake celebration and party quickly devolves to the two of you dicking around in various stores. you know that part of the shopping cart that babies sit in? yeah, the whole thing ends when stretch gets stuck in one and you guys get kicked out. thankfully, you still have your ingredients, and his baking skills are spectacular. the cake was well worth the wait.

mutt

- mutt’s idea of a celebration would be something to do at home or somewhere quiet. parties are very loud and very crowded, two things that spell disaster for him sensory wise. he’ll order delivery, your choice, and you guys will have an epic movie marathon. over the past few weeks, he’s compiled a list of every movie you’ve so much as mentioned you wanted to watch and has (pirated) bought every single one.

- the two of you spend the night cuddling, although he makes sure to focus the affection on you by running his fingers through your hair or massaging your shoulders or scratching your back. whatever you want, he’ll do. he’ll even let you borrow his jacket for a day or two. it’s near impossible to get him out of it, its one of his comfort items, but he knows that a common thing in relationships is wearing your partners clothes.

- something small you could do is going outside and stargazing. the night sky is beautiful, it always helps him put life into perspective, and he’d like to share that with you. you guys make up your own constellations, giving them stupid names and laughing together until the sun comes up. it’s easy to forget to sleep when you’re having fun with someone you love.
