i have some thoughts. we all know about the season 4 jonathan haters, right? right. well, i have something to say about that.

in season 4, jonathan smokes weed and is more laid back than in the previous seasons. some people are bothered by that, saying his character was ruined, or he’s lazy and useless now. some are even going as far as to say he was being a bad brother. did he know el was being bullied? no. if he did, would he have stepped up? yes. he didn’t do anything wrong, but if you think that he was a bad brother, fine.

BUT

the second that joyce left him in charge, he DID step up. and he continued to step up for his family and protect them. he noticed that something was wrong with will (he even noticed this before joyce left him in charge) and even noticed will’s feelings for mike. he was a major help with finding el, and he was just as much of a hero as the previous seasons.

so why are people angry? because. they’re stupid. plain and simple.

jonathan has been the man of the house ever since l*nnie left. he was forced to grow up faster than most kids his age. he had to watch over will constantly, which interfered with his life. but he did it with a smile, because he’s a good person. his whole life has been a massive shit show, from what happened with his parents, to will, and then adding on all the supernatural bullshit. this kid needed a break. and i’m glad he got one. and if you’re mad at him for taking the chance to enjoy the teenage experience, maybe you’re the problem.

NAH cause milkvans claim they want the best for El and that’s why the ship mitochondria but i rlly don’t think so

notice how much happier el was when she dumped mike… she was so much more happy and carefree, as she should be at that age. and the second they get back together, they’re both miserable again. i just don’t understand how milkduds can think that’s healthy.

mike and el are not happy together. they lie and don’t communicate and most importantly, they’re not in love. a healthy happy relationship is built on honesty, communication, trust, and love. none of those factor into melvin’s relationship.

i’d like one milkshake to give me an analysis and convince me that their relationship is healthy without just saying “they’re canon”

alright i restarted stranger things AGAIN (shut up 😭) and it still makes me sad that in ep 1 when the heathkit radio thing arrived (or whatever) lucas and will never got a turn to "play" with it (lucas was cut off before his turn and will was already kidnapped) 😭 i would have loved to see the party having a fun silly time playing with the radio 😔

ANOTHER thought on milkyway’s relationship and everyone wanting them to be endgame. do y’all realize how unrealistic it is for them to end up together, married and/or with children?? there is no chance of that happening. they began dating when they were, what, 12? ain’t no way they’re lasting. first relationships are for you to discover yourself and it is about 99% probable that your relationship will not last.

guys i have some thoughts…

el obviously overstepped a boundary when she spied on mike, we all know that. we also all know that she was almost completely unaware that she was overstepping said boundary. max knew it was wrong, and still encouraged her to do it. when people side with el and max in that argument, it makes me so angry because YOU KNOW that if it was mike spying on el, it would be a HUGE problem. everyone (viewer wise) would be mad asf. AND mike would have been reprimanded. but el never was. i love max, but girly, that was not okay. i get having a silly goofy time a sleepover, but taking advantage of your powers to spy on your boyfriend is not an okay thing to do. and max knew that and still allowed it?
