Karma Is The Protective Type
I don't ship Karma and Okuda by any means. I do however love their friendship. Mainly because it tells me a lot about Karma's character. The first time the two interacted was on the Kyoto trip, but before that, Okuda must have found Karma a bit scary, until she got to know him. During the sleepover, most of the girls did find Karma attractive but because of his sadistic nature, the girls were quick to put him on the bottom list in terms of dating. Okuda, however, told the girls that he wasn't so bad.
Like, one of the shyest girls in Class E is telling everyone that Karma, the most feared boy in their class, isn't that scary. And that's the thing! As violent and sadistic as Karma is, he is actually pretty nice to Okuda throughout the show. Though I'm pretty sure he would still playfully tease her every now and then. It is Karma after all.
Anyway, I would also go as far as to say that he's rather protective of her. It's easy to miss, but after the Okinawa assassination attempt, you can see Karma helping someone out of the waters. And guess who it is?
Yep, it's Okuda.
He even grabs her wrist to pull her away when Koro-sensei's fight was getting intense.
And even in the Korosenei Quest manga, Karma glared at Itona, telling him to leave Okuda alone when he got too close to her.
Yeah, I know it's not canon, but the story and characters are pretty much similar to the main story.
So yeah, I like how Karma treats Okuda, despite him being a violent dude. It's so cute that this delinquent we all love has a soft spot for Okuda.
Again, I don't ship those two. I just like they're dynamic.

Manami wondered if this was just her brain playing tricks on her or was Korosensei still around. Whether or not a spirit realm existed will forever be a mystery to her, but the possibilities remained endless.
With a sigh, she finally gathered the willpower to leave the lab as well as the fond memories she'd created alongside all that deadly poison. She soon found herself in another room of even greater memories—the classroom, where her fiancé was—or rather, had been cleaning. He was now busy doodling on the board.
"Is that a cake?" Manami asked as she stepped closer.
"Yup," He said, popping the p, "Can you tell what kinda cake it is?"
What else would it be? "A strawberry cake,"
"And…?"
"And?"
Chuckling, Karma began to draw two figurines on top, with one of the clearly wearing a wedding dress. Manami laughed before wrapping her arms around the man's neck and pecking his cheek.
"I'm not that short, you know."
Karma gave her a playful grin. "Okay, we'll get the bride figurine a stool."
"Karma,"
"And glasses; don't worry."
What was she going to do with this man? She leaned over to plant another kick on his cheek, only for Karma to capture her mouth with his. He let out a smug chuckle, clearly proud of this little stunt. Pulling back, he turned his entire body around and tugged Manami into his embrace, not even giving the chance to react before he kissed her over and over again; on her lips, cheeks, shoulders—wherever he wanted.
She could almost hear Korosensei's squeal at this intimate display. The thought brought a large smile to Manami's lips as she made a mental note to honor Korosensei at their wedding ceremony, such as reserving a seat for him at the front. Summary:
As dangerous as a world with Korosensei in it is, it's nothing compared to the dangers of the Constant, an island separated from reality itself, where death is temporary but every day is a constant fight for survival. Lucky, they've got each other - except when they don't.
A.K.A five Kunugigaoka kids find themselves in a survival game, and all that entails.
Characters: Gakushuu, Karma, Nagisa, Kayano & Okuda (will have some slooowly developing karushuu)
This fic isn't quite finished yet, but we're nearly there, I'd imagine one chapter from the end. And it's been a ride! I know nothing about the game this is based on, but that truly didn't matter at all (in a sense, it's just fun not to have any idea what to expect next). The Constant certainly is a peculiar (and at times horrifying) place. Following the kids development through the time they spend there has been one of the best parts, but I got to admit I got really invested in the story too. I'm honestly sad it's going to end soon... (here's hoping for a sequel!)
(And as for various reasons this constantly makes me think of Solar's Assassin Skills Required, which I really should reread one of these days, I'll link it here too. Just in case someone has already read this fic but not ASR.)
