you know what really sucks about this Website Improvement (TM) tumblr has been doing lately? there are so many funny posts out there whose punchlines DEPEND on you being able to see the URL. to name a more known one, the url of one-time-i-dreamt posts is usually crucial to the joke. they just removed a whole layer of context for no practical reason. and now that urls are just removed from the posts some jokes straight up don't work anymore. a picture of a pinapple in itself is unremarkable, but a picture of a pineapple with were-ralph attached to it is a completely different story. there's lore there

i just wanted to talk about my decision to start masking again a while ago, because it was pretty much entirely influenced by listening to my peers/folks on here circulating actual information about the pandemic & that it is not fucking over.

i was initially privileged to have believed that hearing about covid less and less as time went on meant that it was really going away, because it was not affecting me or my health. i believed the left-leaning media sources and liberal bubble i was in that told me it was safe again to go out without a mask. but like. safe for WHO?

it's hard for some who have grown used to the "convenience" of not wearing a mask to hear this, but nothing has changed since 2022 - covid hasn't gone away. every time you go out without a mask, there is a legitimate risk you may catch covid and unknowingly spread it to countless others, including disabled individuals for whom this virus can and will have devastating, potentially permanent impacts.

i think it was incredibly important that i heard & absorbed the sentiment that you can begin masking again at any time. yes, YOU! and me! i have started again and you can too! tell your friends! get others masking! i'm genuinely not saying this out of any concern for myself (although i have pretty bad asthma so i don't know WHY i convinced myself that not masking was like... ever fine. i guess it was because everyone in my life and all mainstream liberal media is acting like everything's fine!!! when it's not!), i am saying it for those whose health is more tenuous than my own and as a healthy and able-bodied person it should and will be my responsibility to take measures to protect people who deserve bodily autonomy and safety. this is what a good society does: it protects its most vulnerable. the entire world is not doing this, but we CAN, and it WILL make a difference. if you believe disability rights are human rights: wear a mask.

What is the Splatoon RP Hub?

The Splatoon RP Hub is a Discord server that is meant to be a space to discover people and places to roleplay Splatoon with, and to forge a sense of community! What resources does it offer?

didnt think i would have to make this post but in case you didnt know, if we are rivals and have just completed a duel and you won and i look up at you bruised and bloody and say "I'm going to kill you, you know. one day" the correct response is to smile, with something almost resembling affection, and say "I look forward to it" before walking away. the incorrect response is to stab me while im down in an attempt to kill me because a. rude, b. didnt fucking work anyway so you look real silly right now, and c. now my quest to find you and defeat you is going to be tainted by a sour hatred and need for vengeance that will overtake my very being and corrupt me into a shadow of the man i was before, instead of a fun flirty mutual respect. asshole.

random reminder for those interested in reading the bad guys books but don’t have the means to access all of them (which is understandable, especially given how long the series is) that they are available for viewing for free on youtube (this link goes straight to a playlist of them) thanks to a dedicated individual who’s essentially made fan-created audiobooks of them (which btw the voice acting’s pretty fun & impressive given that it’s one guy doing all the voices). they’re HD digital scans (not someone taking pictures of their physical copy), there are no watermarks or cropping that would affect one’s ability to read them. overall it’s undoubtedly the most accessible option for these books so if you’re interested in reading them & haven’t yet for one reason or another, definitely check out that playlist.
