Tarn and Prowl being Sparkmates means neither set of Ride or Dies can just thrash the offending partner. The DJD has it worse than the Structies in that regard since Prowl is a gestalt member. Hurting the Constructicons means hurting Prowl which means hurting Tarn. Which Tarn does not apreciate.
There is definitely a rotating group of mechs that folow Prowl around to catch him if he glitches.
Prowl and Tarn once they hit the nesting phase really start driving everyone bananas especially Prowl. Everything is being made Sparkling safe. Everything. The Constructicons and the DJD have to do massive renovations and expansions to their base and ship. Tarn orders all tables bolted to the floor out of spite for having to hide his collections in a biolocked storage room. Apparently the First Editions "Weren't sparkling appropriate decor." The Constructicons are very sympathetic. They miss being able to encorperate corpses and even living mechs into the archertecture.
Dumb Thought:
Praxians are Seekerkin, right? Seekers trine. What if Pharma is the third and final fail-husband? It's finally been long enough that the connection to his Ex-Conjux has faded enough for his writing to appear. Or having both in the same place overcame the inertia of his broken connection to Ratchet.
He's flying out to check out what the ruckes is, or Tarn sent him a ping to deliver the T-cogs. He lands looks at the two cariers arguing with the each other over architectural features as Helix and Tess are atempting to mediate. Well Tess is atempting to mediate, Helix is being a snarky advocate for Unicron and space heater so the carrying mechs dont get too cold. The Constructicons are just going, we can make this happen to every seguestion.
Pharma, to shocked to self censor, screeches "Prowl what are you doing here?! What fresh hell is this Tarn?!" Then he feels two sets of writing apear on his arm one after the other. "Oh, my Pharma, I don't have to give you up after all!" Folowed by, "Pharma of Vos what exactly is your relationship with the DJD?!" Pharma falls to his knees and screams in dispair. The two mech he hates most in the universe are his sparkmates. Scavenger pats Pharma on the shoulder, "Don't worry, you get used to it."
Oh yes the Ride or Dies
Right yep yep! The Constructicons have (somewhat) of a literal connection to Tarn through Prowl
They will and it will drive Prowl up the wall
sdfg ohh. Why do I get the vibe these renovations and expansions are driving them nuts?
I had not even considered the idea of them also being petty towards each other with them, because of course they are. Tarn, something tells me that even if the tables/desks are bolted down Prowl's habit of flipping them will remain (and if it doesn't hey you've found a solution for less furniture repairs)
The DJD and Constructicons can bond over their Ride or Dies being menaces while carrying
Oh no
Oh no
Pharma
Oh no
You'd think that Nickel banned Tarn from having anymore T-cog replacements while carrying tbh
Pharma I am so sorry babygirl but welcome to the chaos
Tesarus and Helex are trying but Helex is a menace and busy being a menace. We've already designated Prowl and Tarn menaces.
Why did I imagine Pharma just carrying a bunch of t-cogs in a energon stained cardboard box? That's probably not what's going on but it is a hilarious image.
of course structies of course.
Oh Pharma, sweetheart, babygirl. Welcome to the failhusbands, both of your sparkmates got each other sparked up and you are stuck with them now. I get the vibe that Pharma and Prowl would have so many interesting interactions, ohh.
I Am Still Trying To Ascertain when in the timeline this is so that we know what version of Pharma we're getting and when all of this is going down
Scavenger that is not helping him

"put this guy in earthspark" "put that guy in earthspark" I think you are all correct but I've been thinking about it so here's who I would love to see in earthspark and why:
-sunstreaker and sideswipe (this show is all about family when was the last time the twins were on screen together huh. they are speedster twins twitch and thrash would love them)
-ironhide (would be plotting megatron's demise the second he saw him. like optimus' scary dog who barks every time megatron gets too close "he don't bite" "YES HE DO")
-jazz and prowl (I think they should show up together. I think prowl needs someone to handle people for him because if he showed up by himself it would not end well. also I love jazz and find their dynamic fun, plus jazz would love the terrans)
-ratchet and deadlock (specifically deadlock. it would be so funny. imagine ratchet comes into camp and they're like "holy shit thank god finally an actual medic who can help us" but look he's got the cybtertronian equivalent of a feral attack dog following him that adores him and hates everyone else and he's not doing anything about it)
-thundercracker and buster (GIVE HIM HIS DOG!! bonus points if skywarp and starscream are like "oh we don't know about thundercracker. we lost him years ago. we hope one day to find him and welcome him with open arms" and this whole time he's had a dog and been writing screenplays like "oh they know I'm fine" [they don't])
-first aid (I love ratchet but bro's been dominating the medical field. put first aid in. or literally any other medic actually. put fucking pharma in and let him go wild. that would be fun. but back to first aid I love his character and I think his "I'm a medic, but..." attitude would fit perfectly, and he'd love the terrans)
-pharma
-whirl (do it you fucking cowards. and don't do it like cyberverse. make him unhinged. he would be such a bad influence it would be great)

i mean in their defence, most of the time you don't need your wisdom teeth removed. unnecessary surgery is pushed by big pharma to increase insurance premiums
I mean. My wisdom teeth were causing me physical pain and were growing in wrong. So like. Maybe they shouldn’t assume things about people getting surgeries.

The thing about the fandom headcanon that calls Pharma Ratchet's crazy ex and treats him like some sort of stalker or intrusion on Ratchet's love life (usually with Drift) is that
On one level, it's already annoying when a perfectly fine/interesting character is reduced to nothing but "bitter ex getting in the way of The Actual OTP" because it simplifies the character to only exist as a satellite to someone's ship (the bitter loser who can't let go/doesn't deserve person A/etc) instead of having their own life going on.
But when it comes to Pharma it's particularly annoying because it reduces Pharma to "the crazy stalker/bitter ex", framing Pharma as if he's the villain ruining Ratchet's life with his inability to just let go,
When in actual canon it was Ratchet who was best friends with Pharma their whole life (they're even shown together in the Functionist Universe). Ratchet who ditched Pharma with barely a word of goodbye (before Delphi, and ironically the same conversation where Pharma asked Ratchet if he should accept the station at Delphi). And it was Ratchet who asked Drift if he was scared of going into DJD territory as an ex-Decepticon, but treated Pharma like scum for killing patients under threat of being murdered by the DJD. And Ratchet who stole Pharma's hands. And Ratchet who tried to manipulate Pharma by using his deepest insecurities against him on Luna-1.
It's not like Pharma is some rando who Ratchet barely knew. They were BEST FRIENDS whose friendship was severed on a really messy note. Pharma has every right to be invested in a relationship/friendship that almost literally lasted he and Ratchet's entire life. It sucks when people implicitly treat Pharma as if he's obsessed and should just move on when the reality is that it was Ratchet who first terminated their relationship with no explanation or even a goodbye (pre Delphi) and then with leaving Pharma to die and then stealing his hands (post-Delphi). So is Pharma really "obsessed" or is he just understandably upset about being betrayed by the person who should've known and cared about him the most?
So like, it's really annoying when Ratchet has so many flaws in canon and questionable ways he treated Pharma, but the fandom just calls Pharma a crazy stalker ex as if Pharma is the freak who's overreacting and mentally insane while Ratchet is just some guy who was only minding his own business. To me it's not even a matter of shipping, it's just the fact that Ratchet DID handle his relationship with Pharma super fucking poorly. And I really wish more people in the fandom acknowledged that instead of framing Pharma as the evil/crazy/overly attached one for being upset about being ditched. Pharma has reasons to be pissed off and driven to get revenge on Ratchet, and even if his romantic feelings towards Ratchet might play somewhat of a role, Pharma is way more than just some stalker ex who's evil because he's crazy and wants Ratchet to be his boyfriend.
I mean Pharma literally says on the page that the reasons he's angry at Ratchet are for ruining his plans at Delphi and for stealing his hands. Even though Pharma-as-Adaptus orders Drift shot later in LL, it's not explicitly framed as some romantic jealousy and could also just as easily be construed as Pharma getting revenge for Drift cutting his hands off. I don't think Pharma ever even talks about or mentions Drift in the entire story. It's very clear that Pharma's beef/obsession with Ratchet is entirely between him and Ratchet and Drift is only a footnote in all of the reasons Pharma is pissed off.

Oh no, I'm going to make it worse and say Pharma is baby baby in this.
He can't believe it, though, because he knew people have been gunning for Ratchet for a long time, and if the last thing that happened was them fighting and it was Pharma's fault, that would destroy him. Besides, Trepan has become such a rock and mentor to him now. Sometimes he even reminds him of Ratchet.
It can't be Trepan.
(He wouldn't, right?)
Pharma going to the clinic thinking Ratchet's ignoring his calls only to find the clinic burned down and being investigated by Orion Pax, who recognizes him and tells him about Ratchet being found inside.
Pharma is sick with guilt-fear, and Ratchet was the only one he had. Now it's just Trepan. And Orion Pax, who is side eying the mnemosurgeon heavily and has decided he needs to check up on Ratchet's mentee occasionally but has opinions and sometimes less grace and tact than Pharma.
Teenybopper Pharma is going through it.
Oh no
Oh no
Yes
Pharmaaaaa noooooo
I am making the most strangled noises there are, YES
That would destroy him if the last thing Pharma and Ratchet did together in this was fight. So I'm saying that exactly happened. That very exactly happened. There was a fight.
Pharma has such interesting feelings on Trepan now because he trusts Trepan. Yesss. And if Pharma is young, like really fucking young, I can see why the connection wasn't immediately made. ohhh, pharma.
HhHgg YES ON HIM MEETING WITH ORI. Extra points if this isn't the first fight that Pharma and Ratchet have had that lead to Ratchet ignoring his calls, but this time Pharma had this inexplicable sick feeling about it. Yes.
Primus, what would Orion think about Ratchet's death? I believe they were rather close.
Trepan is all Pharma has left, right? Right?
Orion is suspicious as fuck, extra points if he's heard rumors about Trepan. If he's caught Trepan's vibes. He may not know Pan well, but he's got a feeling that isn't very nice.
Yess on Orion checking up with our distraught youngling here, I can see them developing an interesting dynamic possibly possibly possibly

Don’t look at the pedes or the servos of hazformer d-16 in the background
People who know how to draw servos and pedes please give me tips because I’m already bad enough
The symbols on his wings are the cybertronian letters for T(for Tarn to say that’s his bodyguard)
And anything that Celestial Prime builds he gives purple optics like him. Samurais also have paint on their faces like Pharma has here

The missing bird
Alright, season 2 part 2 from my ongoing story set in the sentient sg/ll universe from @cuppajj
I hope you will enjoy it. They are no highkins yet, but they're coming. I promise.
Trigger Warning: Rodimus gets bonked on the head. Nothing more. (Thankfully)
-.-,-.-,-.-,-.-,-.-,-.-,-.-,-.-,-.-,-.-,-.-,-.-,-.-,-.-,-.-,
“Stop looking at me like that! I am not crazy, I know what I’ve seen!”
“I am not saying that, Pharma, I’m just… your optics have been better…”
Pharma knew it, he knew it! He shouldn’t have commed Tarn after Rodimus’ assault and escape, but there wasn’t really any other option for him. If only the prime would have escaped, Pharma wouldn’t have bothered with calling his old friend. No. He would have simply called someone else. Someone who dealt with roge Autobots on the run, and wasn’t the leader of a group dedicated to finding and or saving Decepticons. But after seeing the youngling gone, informing Tarn of what happened was his highest priority. That, and fixing the wound inflicted on him.
“Alright…” Muttered the medic, as he stared down at his steaming cup of Energon-tea. Usually this would help him calm down his nerves, but this time it didn’t work. Neither did knitting. “Let us begin from new. I told you that I was threatened by a youngling, who was in bad shape. Yes?” Pharma asked, which got him a silent nod from Tarn. “But the youngling did not come because of his missing wings, but rather because of the mech who was with him and slowly dying from a plethora of medical anomalies that should not have been possible. I mean, this mech looked like the monster from Frankenstein! Never in my years of working as a medical officer have I seen something like that. And then there is the fact that the mech’s head and spark were still fine. As if someone knew how to save those parts, but had to repeatedly replace the other ones. If I wouldn’t find the indications of such a procedure repulsive, I would be impressed.”
Pharma could have gone on and on about the medical concerns and sins committed through such an act, but Tarn was quick to stop him by simply raising a servo and shaking his head. “I know Pharma, I know, it must have been a terrible sight to see, but I think you’re missing the point. Rodimus Prime is dead. I saw his corpse with my own optics. And if you don’t believe me, you can ask my crew. We all have seen it.”
“And I tell you, he’s as alive as you and me!” Pharma wasn’t one for raising his voice or yelling, he hated it, but seeing as Tarn didn’t believe him, he couldn’t help himself. “I personally made sure that he was treated the best we could offer! And don’t start with my bad optics again, Tarn, I know what I have seen. I was using my glasses!” Screamed the medic, while slamming his knitting utensils down on the table, before getting up. Moving around his office in search of one specific data-pad. “But that isn’t even my point. Yes, Rodimus being alive and well is not good for anyone who should cross his path, but I worry about the youngling. Tarn, that youngling looked like… He didn’t look good. The look in his optics, it was haunting. As if he’s seen something that… You know those scared mechs and femmes you sometimes find and bring here for treatment? They know that whoever hurt them can’t do it anymore, but the kid, even the Prime, looked like they were expecting something or someone to jump out of the shadows. As if whatever was hunting them, was still on their tail. And then there are the things he muttered while under sedation…”
The old medic sighed, as he handed his  friend the data-pad containing all the needed information about both his latest patients, before sitting back down in his chair. Elbows on the table and head resting in his servos. “Call me crazy, call me old, blame it on my bad optics, but I know what I have seen. I know that the youngling was in the company of Rodimus Prime. And I know that I should have tried harder to keep them here… Maybe then I could have helped them better… Maybe they would be-”
“You shouldn’t blame yourself for something that happened. How should you have known that they would flee?” Asked Tarn softly, as to keep his friend from worrying even more. After all, Pharma was a mech who put the wellbeing of his patients before his own, and with two mechs gone who he still saw as his patients, Tarn knew that the medic was blaming himself for anything that could happen to them. “But,” he said after a short pause he took to quickly read the data-pad, “even with your provided evidence, I still can’t believe that Rodimus Prime is alive. I will believe you, that you saw an Autobot together with a Decepticon youngling, but until I see it for myself, Rodimus Prime is still dead.”
"Of course…" Muttered Pharma. "Well… I guess I will have to accept that…." It was either finding a compromise, or arguing until both of them started to rust. And frankly, Pharma knew that he couldn't convince Tarn to believe him. Not until his friend saw the prime with his own optics. "Either way, the youngling, is he a reported case? I would imagine that someone wouldn't try to keep this 'under the rug', as humans would say. Especially when it concerns one of the few younglings created after the war. I mean, if I had a youngling and they were in the servos of a rogue Autobot, I would report them as soon as possible."
Tarn nodded his head. There was one case involving a youngling, but that youngling was marked as dead. "There was one case, but whoever worked on it marked the involving youngling as deceased. Although, the data-pad you gave me makes me think that someone might have faked the report. It would be too much of a coincidence if there were two younglings with the same name, alt-mode, color palette and looks." While coincidences like this exist, it looked more like someone was trying to erase this specific Decepticon from their files, rather than two mechs who shared some similarities.
Pharma nodded and picked his tea-cup up. Giving Tarn a look that could only be read as, 'I've made up my mind'.
"Then I want to officially report Phoenix as missing."
......
Meanwhile, said youngling didn't even know that he was being missed by anyone, because he had other concerns right now.
Once he woke up after spending a whole week being, figuratively, dead to the world, Phoenix was at first confused as to where he was. Then, he remembered everything that happened and quickly got up to look for Rodimus, only to find a stranger in his brother's place. At least, Phoenix thought it was a stranger, because this unknown mech did have Rodimus' head, from what he could see, but his body didn't match up. So, the youngling quickly grabbed a pipe and whacked the intruder over the head, only to hear the familiar voice of Rodimus' letting out a small scream of pain and surprise.
"Phoenix! Frag, you have a hard swing…" Muttered the prime, while rubbing the sore spot on his helm. Maybe he should have stayed with Phoenix, in case his brother woke up, but he also had to make sure they didn't crash on a planet or fly into a meteor. Things were a lot easier when he had a crew… but he did have Phoenix now, and the kid did fly the ship when they made their escape.
Speaking of Phoenix, the kid was awfully quiet after hitting him over the head. Quieter than usual, and that worried the black and purple mech. “Phoenix? Are you alright?” Asked Rodimus, as he slowly turned around to face his brother. Getting even more concerned when he saw Phoenix staring at him with a shocked face. “Come on, don’t say my good looks have stunned you. I mean, yes, I know I’m one handsome devil, but still. I-” Rodimus, while talking, was using one servo to underline his words, while the other one was propped up on his hip, but feeling Phoenix’s smaller servos carefully taking a hold on his free one caused the speedster to shut up.
“The same…” Was all Phoenix muttered, before clutching Rodimus’ servo close to his chestplate, while tears started to run down his cheeks. “We’re… we’re the same. I’m… I’m not the only one… We look…” He couldn’t stop the tears, nor could he bring out a whole sentence. Yes, Phoenix knew that he and Rodimus shared a face, but seeing his brother’s body restored to what it used to look like. It was different. They might not have had 100% the same looks, but the resemblance was still uncanny. And it made Phoenix happy. Now, he wasn’t the only one who looked like this.
He didn’t feel alone anymore.
Seeing his brother cry wasn’t something Rodimus expected, but he could understand it. Or, at least he thought he could. So, carefully as to not scare Phoenix, he wrapped his free arm around the crying youngling. Pressing him as close to his chest as he could, without making it hurt. Phoenix was still clutching his servo after all.
“Yes. You’re not the only one anymore. And, I promise you, I will keep it that way.” Said the speedster, before letting go of his brother to wipe away his tears. “Now, how about we get you some Energon? You must be starving.”
Phoenix nodded and let Rodimus pull him back to where they set up their resting place and place him down on the soft blankets, before the older mech rummaged through the cupboards for some spare Energon. Complaining the whole time about how wrongly the ship was stocked and how they will have to throw some things out and replace them with different ones.
“Can we get a small kitchen?” Asked Phoenix, as he was being handed one of the small Energon cubes. “Oh! And maybe a table and some chairs too! Sitting on the floor is nice and all, but I would like chairs a lot more. Oh! Oh! How about some small lights too! Like those humans hang up on those green trees when the snow comes. Mother once brought me some and I hung them up in my room. Oh! And we will need some extra storage room for stuff too!”
“Yes, yes, we can make a list later Phoenix, but now you should concentrate on refueling. Primus knows how much you need it after sleeping like a rock.” Chuckled the prime as both of them started to plan and talk about their future while refueling.
And for once, everything looked bright.
...
“You know, if the sparkeater was a hot tall flier who could control his urges, I would totally kiss him.” Said Rodimus, which caused Phoenix to spit out his Energon.
“What the… Rodimus, no!”
“Rodimus, yes!”

Bolts upright from my bed
In an AU where Pharma lives the Adaptus thing and comes back on the Lost Light, wouldn't he find out that the crew had to deal with being cornered and nearly killed by the DJD and a bunch of other Decepticons?
And then Pharma could get to be like "oh I see :) you were under threat by the DJD :))) why didn't you just run? Oh you couldn't and had no means of escape? Funny :)))) didn't you call for help? Oh you did right??? And did anyone come???? :)))))) did anyone come in time to save you from the DJD????? DID THEY????? DID YOU JUST CALL FOR HELP AND RUN AWAY AND THE DJD JUST LET YOU GO????? :))))))))))) OH THE DJD BLOCKED COMMUNICATIONS AND HAD YOU SURROUNDED????? OH HOW TRAGIC I GUESS YOU COULDN'T ESCAPE AFTER ALL AND A LOT OF YOUR FRIENDS DIED :)))))))))))))))) AND THE ONLY REASON YOU WON WAS BECAUSE YOU HAD A LOT OF SUPERPOWERFUL FIGHTERS ON YOUR SIDE???? WOW IMAGINE WHAT MIGHT'VE HAPPENED IF YOU HAD NO FRIENDS AND BARELY ANY MILITARY SUPPORT AND THE DJD CAME HUH??? WOW WHAT A RELIEF THAT DIDNT HAPPEN"
-
In other words, I'm pretty much convinced that the reason Pharma is remembered as "the evil cowardly doctor that murdered innocents to save his own skin" instead of "the Autobot that got mindbroken by Tarn into thinking that making a plague and killing everyone was his only way to escape" is because he got introduced before the DJD were established as a pants-shittingly evil and sadistic group of freaks, and unlike Rodimus' crew he didn't have the luxury of being a main character whose thoughts and experiences were shown on screen. Pretty much his reputation as "crazy token evil Autobot" was sealed from MTMTE #5 and by the time MTMTE #50-something brought Dying of the Light, Pharma was a footnote in the story and never got to have this new information about the terror of the DJD factored into his own character.
#squiggposting#pharma apologism#i mean isnt there literally a scene in dying of the light where tarn talks about how drawing out his strike#makes the enemy suffer more from degradation and panic#and megatron says that he wrote the DJD manifesto to be about systematically isolating and tormenting targets b4 actually killing them#and when they send out an SOS its not received until literally weeks later#and pretty much the only reason most of them survived was bc of spark trauma magic#and having a mad scientist that could make super badass upgrades and weapons#but oh when PHARMA doesnt call for help and doesnt run away it's just bc hes evil and cowardly#i mean i know in the text he says that he just wanted to get away with his name cleared but like#how can you look at what the DJD did in future chapters and go oh yeah pharma did what he did#just because hes prideful and didnt want to ask for help or get caught for his misdeeds#like sure that's the only part the narrative shows but that's prolly bc pharma wasnt meant to be that deep#from a doylist view there wouldnt have been room in the story for this random side villain to get a sad backstory#anyways it just really. gets my goat lmao#the difference b/t pharma and the LL crew on necroworld in terms of audience sympathy#was basically just placement in the story and screentime#hence why pharma is just a crazy evil doctor who sucks at being an autobot#and the LL crew are brave heroes and friends making a last stand against evil#good for the LL crew that they could actually fight back but uh. pharma couldnt#abyways sorry for being weird about pharma on main it will happen again
