Been a long while since I have put effort into a full drawing....much less ship art.
I have recently escaped a bad situation and currently fighting it in law, so It's been admittedly rough on my end. Thankfully the situation is looking 10x better.
Striking on the rare moment in between the burnout fog, I decided to draw some more Deer Alastor and Ranger Me, cuz why not. It's a hella fun AU. This was drawn in IbisPaintX on a Samsung phone. Not too bad if I do say so myself.

finally introducing the other character who also occupies a part of my brain:
Meet Giewont!
while the creator of it, Maria Leszczyńska, originally intended to make a war machine, she struggled a lot with finding resources then. however, with her and her family's life deeply affected by both world wars, the idea never left her mind. inspired by utopian idea of glass houses from a novel "the spring to come" ¹, she created her machine from glass. it would be cheap to make, yet durable, available as help to those in need, able to do hard work in times when it was needed - but if fragile peace was in danger again, it could fight alongside other soldiers. as if to set that role of protector in stone, she named it Giewont ². to test her creation, she gifed it to her brother Andrzej, who owned a small farm near the seaside.
Giewont worked as much as four men, not needing to be paid or fed like people would. it was a perfect solution for everybody, the new industrial revolution. that was, until about half a year into her work, glass started to shatter. it turned out not to be as durable as the utopian story made it to be, especially in contact with rough farm tools. small cracks also started to appear after they worked outside in winter, with low temperatures on the outside and hot steam circulating inside. with her fingers and edges getting sharper every day, Giewont was forbidden from taking care of animals anymore, as she would injure them. she was given the only task with no way to injure others - they recieved a showel fully made from metal and was ordered to dig. she did as she was told, even though the work put strain on her already-falling-apart fingers.
but when one day, when returning home, she noticed daughter of Andrzej, Aniela, swimming too far away from the shore and having trouble coming back, long forgotten wire snapped into its place as she jumped into the water to save her. while Giewont did bring her back home, carrying her in their arms, the girl had severe cuts on her body from coming in contact with robot's sharp hands. furious with his sister creation, Andrzej took it outside, desperate to destroy it. blinded by anger, he didn't even notice the storm gathering over the horizon
Andrzej took the metal showel and struck Giewont on the side on their head, then again, until her body fell and crumbled to pieces. He covered it with sand and raised his hands to deal the final blow.
that's when the lightning struck.
and the man fell to the ground, dead.
the sand melted from the heat around Giewont, filling the empty spaces and connecting the pieces back together. raising from their shallow grave, with body more rigid than what she was used to, she took her shovel and decided to bury the man, with what respect they had left for him. that was, after she dealt the final blow herself.
although miraculous, the lightning didn't return her to the previous state of being. their motions were stiff and some parts of theirs got lost forever among the sands of the beach. the part of her head where the first blow was dealt never worked properly again, rendering Giewont deaf in one ear (or whatever was left from it). however it did some good as well, as it widened the space around her mouth, finally making them able to talk - even if it was simillar to a whistle. determined to help people but with a body that kept hurting everyone around her, Giewont set off into the world, trying to find a home and piece herself together, leaving parts herself and a dead body behind.

Geralt: yeah that's fine just be careful to not split your head open. I know you like Lambert but you don't want to end up like Lambert
Ciri: fair enough, thanks!
Geralt: dinners in an hour by the way!
Ciri: okay Dad!
*two minutes later*
Geralt: oh my gods she called me Dad
Vesemir: you just realized that?
Geralt: *already tearing ups* y yeah
Vesemir: she called you it twice
Geralt: OH MY GODS SHE CALLED ME DAD TWICE IM THE HAPPIEST FATHER ALIVE
Vesemir: Bud, that's like the bare minimum to fatherhood-
Geralt: ITS NOT FOR PEOPLE LIKE US. I HAVE TO TELL EVERYONE I KNOW. THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE

robin's ptsd has been discussed and stuff.... but what hcs do u have relating to nancy and her ptsd? ehehehe
oh boy i've been WAITING for this one!!!
nancy doesn't go swimming for a while. everything just reminds her of barb and steve's pool. so she just, doesn't. not at the hawkins public pool, not at the lake. nowhere.
nancy cuts her hair after the events of s1 and keeps it relatively short/shoulder-length because if it gets any longer she sees That version of herself. the one who left barb to die.
nightmares. every night. nancy doesn't remember the last time she had a good dream. they're all tainted. have been tainted since november 1983. they're all so vivid. so real, that she has a hard time distinguishing what's real and what's not real. especially after that first encounter with the demogorgon. she eventually gets to a point where she can bring herself out of it when she needs too, but when starcourt happens they come back twice as hard and twice as vivid.
we've seen her zone out in canon, and i don't think that ever really stops with her. i think when she's not in Monster Fighting Journalist mode, and she's just nancy, that she's constantly zoning out. ESPECIALLY after vecna messes with her mind.
i hc that nancy's birthday is the day that will came back/barb didn't (we know her bday is in november, just not the exact day lmao) but nancy doesn't celebrate it anymore. not since Then. a few people know it. her family, jonathan, steve, and eventually robin (who found out on accident) but there's no big celebrations or anything. nancy stays home, alone, wrapped in one of barb's old sweaters.
some days, nancy just shuts down. she's had a really bad nightmare or she's just had a bad day with her trauma in general so she just. kinda wanders. both physically and mentally. it's during one of these bad days i think that she takes down the pictures of her and barb that she had in her room.
speaking of that; i think having the pictures in her room was too much for her, reminding her of everything she could've done differently or should've done differently, so she just can't look at them anymore. (she doesn't get rid of them though, she jsut keeps them in a box under her bed. sometimes when she's feeling too lonely she'll pull them out.)
nancy is also one who doesn't like it if someone sneaks up beside her without seeing who it is first. she likes being able to have eyes on everyone, all the time. just in case.
nancy feels like she has to be the one to protect everyone. i think the trauma + guilt of everything leads to that mentality. it's her responsibility.

my shinigami cant be this cute
i got lazy... i was supposed to draw uni, meido, and abbi beside him but laziness striked so text it is.
also a lil more info about the shinigamis cuz i got attached to the shinigami part of the au and now have information that wont be known in the story so have at thee!
Black and white shinigami! Although they have a human form which also changes the colour of their outfits too. Though it doesn't change Omori's outfit much. (aside from the paw pads and inner ears of the cat hood turning pink + red ribbon)
All shinigamis have pitch black eyes. A shinigami can choose any pattern they want that can look like their pupils, much like with the diamond pattern on Omori's eyes. (Meido has heart patterns for her.)
Shinigamis won't have any memories of when they were alive.
Shinigamis have death marks! It'll usually appear as a black patch on their body.
Omori's death mark is at the center of his stomach.
Meido's death mark are lines on her neck that she hides using a choker.
Uni's death mark is practically his entire head.
Abbi's death mark isn't visible on her body in the same way. Her hair is always dripping wet. (She still has the question mark here as well.)
When a shinigami has departed, (which usually means they got "fired" in a sense) the number they have is passed on to an unassigned shinigami to keep consistency of the numbering.
The number of times a codename has been passed on is the letter before the number. In Omori's case, it'll be 3 times. (A codename that hasn't been passed on will just have the number with no letter.)
Abbi was A-104, Meido is D-130, Uni is 109 (Uni is the oldest of them with Meido being the 2nd oldest although Abbi took on the caretaker role when she was around.)
