im just going thru posts on which ive left tags to make original posts and so on (and perhaps one day migrate these posts to my neocities...)

but yeah re: afab/amab terms being used to create and reinforce the existing gender binary in language that imitates progress...

truly do not think we should use acronyms anymore, as catgirltoes said

but also i think these terms are bad precisely because, superficially, it seems they apply to more than one kind of discussion.

like for example healthcare is an offender because you try telling a guy who had a vaginectomy to get a pap smear because he's afab. using body parts is an obvious alternative

for social stuff, just because you're assigned something at birth doesn't mean you're raised as such, e.g. trans kids whose parents and doctors realize it young enough. and of course the assignment/raising thing is a fraught thing w/ intersex people too but im not intersex so im not gonna go into detail about it. just use raised as a (girl/boy) for (length of time) and for the love of transgender jesus do not make it an acronym

and the biggest thing on tumblr ive seen is for nsfw works, like "x afab reader" is such a huge thing on here that i blocked "afab" just to get the "x reader" shit out. this shit pisses me off because so often they dont even try to pretend its not meant for anyone who isnt a cis woman

and of course the afab-only and amab-only (rarer, but the post im responding to says it happens) event shit is just so.

The new "Email first, password on next screen" layout does not work with Firefox's password manager

I use FF Relay for my email, so I need the email to auto-fill, but it does not

Suggestions

Separate the log-in from the sign-up. Right now they are already two different buttons that lead to the same action.

Put the email and password fields on the same page, and make sure they work with password managers.

favorite piece of clothing? jackets. i choose one and wear it for like three years straight lol currently ive got a jacket from goodwill thats got knit sleeves and a jean body. its very ugly but its got a good weight

comfort food? im a big fan of soup and meatballs. italian wedding soup is okay but im not a huge fan of combining the two

favorite time of year? monsoon season. used to go out and watch the lightning a lot w my neighbor as a kid and it rules when its gray and cloudy all day long

- i am not linking this bc apparently the author orphaned their account on ao3 but my god. in this dd fic there is a very very tiny moment with this fucked up formatting that GOT me the first time i read it. look at this

- and also an honorary mention 4 the deviantart ds fic series titled some shit like 'wilson is insane' or whatever thaat i read as a kid that was my first exposure 2 unconventional narratives and weird formatting that i am pretty sure was a huge background foundational influence for how i want to write now. i do not remember any details abt it but i do remember thinking it was the most mind blowing shit ever lol

it took me the longest time to realize this, but jade had only befriended me for self validation abt their abuser, broden. i have screenshots and further information under the cut.

i initially befriended jade after they informed me broden was worse than he had made himself out to be. and so i proceed to block him off everything i had him on. soon after, me and jade became close. however, jade was... incredibly weird abt it regarding broden and would constantly point out how they ‘stole’ me from him. i can only show screenshots to show what i mean.

so before jade wants to throw out there that i was a fake friend for making a single mistake they never even allowed me to apologize for, maybe they should think this over abt how they used me to get back at their abuser.

This is me being awkward and emo and loving you already

Submitting because it’s so freking long whoops…This could be a pile of dumbass statements, tbh I’m just overemotional sometimes (and we Italians are known for sucking at foreign languages so I cannot guarantee that what I wrote makes sense), so I apologize in advance :’)

ok now that I’ve read your adorable tags I just HAVE to tell you this because believe it or not I’ve been thinking about sending you this message for like, the past 10 days or so (but I didn’t wanna sound awkward or anything): it’s such a pleasure seeing you on my dashboard. You represent everything I love about fandoms.

You see, I’m a lil weird… I hate every kind of conflict, both irl and online. Fandom wars? My nightmare! I often see posts written by/for antis where the only way to defend a character/ an actor/ a concept, is to destroy another one. And not only I dislike it, it also makes me very VERY uncomfortable and it’s what usually ruins a fandom for me. Of course calling out toxic behaviours is okay, but other than that I find the whole ‘antis vs stans’ culture very unsettling (rn I’m thinking about Steve and Tony in particular because you recently stated that you don’t like Civil War and I couldn’t agree more).

But your blog is just the opposite! I mean, aside from the excellent quality content, you never reblog/write anything negative. Instead, you choose to analyze characters and situations in a positive and critical way, and whenever you reblog something vaguely more ‘aggressive’ you always clarify in the tags that your own point of view is actually far less extreme. For someone like me, that means the world. I genuinely find your blog somehow soothing, like a wonderful and peaceful place (now you know what I meant when I said I was afraid to sound awkward lmao).

And since your blog says a lot about you, all the things I’ve just said apply to you as a person as well. I can’t say I know you, of course (tho I’d love to), but I’m pretty sure you’re just as soft and respectful irl as I imagine you to be.

I love and cherish every one of my followers, mutuals or not, and that’s a fact. And needless to say, all the people I listed in my post deserve that spot. But know that even if we’ve never actually had a conversation, you have a special place in my heart (aaaand again, a w k w a r d girl alert!), and that you’re one of my favourite people here.

Idk if you were serious about the friendship thing and I understand that creating a real friendship online is difficult for loads of people, but if you were serious I look forward to be your friend :’) <3

as my pinned states, my two passions in life are dragons and pretty boys of which lwj is the prettiest of them all so ofc i just had to combine them<3 i also Really Love dragon lwj content in general (as for my usual url crow-n-prince it's my semi professional one! i use it for art related things and it's meant to be a play on crown prince-> crow (one of my other fave things) and prince)

i am quite literally always on these days unfortunately<3 during school i check whenever i get breaks and during the evenings + a good few hours before i go to sleep i'm usually hanging out while watching shows/reading other stuff

did you have a fight/argument with another blog once? who won?

besides the anon from the other day no not really. I much prefer to avoid confrontation in general and usually just block pretty liberally to cut off that kind of thing before it gets bad. it helps that im not a very popular blog so complete strangers dont feel entitled to start shit randomly lol

how do you feel about "you need to reblog this" posts?

kind of.. greasy in general :/ if it's an important issue i would rather find informative or relevant posts without that kind of phrasing but i'll rb if im short on time or energy

do you like tag games?

i think theyre fun and sweet!! however i normally do not have much energy for them so i don't participate often sigh... i tend to overthink all my responses so by the time I finish one its like paragraphs long (case in point this one) and weeks after I first got tagged so I just dont post haha

yeah!!! theyre quick and interesting and let me do one of my fave things which is sharing little tidbits of my life online<3

oh i know a couple of my mutuals are legitimately famous on here but im not super close to them, and i know a few have had some really popular text posts but i'm not gonna name anyone haha

not at the moment! i have before but i'm not the type to act first on any feelings i have so usually i just crush for a few weeks and move on

2. Any side blogs?

a few!! ive got @fairyoctopus which is a flight rising (dragon neopets) blog and @polteageistplush which was originally a splatoon blog but ive since changed it to an in-general vidya blog! ive also got @ghost-ttype which is just an aesthetic side blog. basically for me to scroll thru and not be anxious

3. How long have you been on tumblr?

Oof i think. since 2012-2013? i made my blog and then didnt know how to use tumblr and didnt start being active til late 2013

4. Do you have a queue tag?

i used to but now all i do is come on here, maybe reblog one or 2 things and then leave so theres not really a point! but i do have like 35 drafts which im too lazy to go thru and actually post them

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place?

to see what the hype for tumblr was. and then i got into some... anime that i no longer like. the remnants still exist on my blog sadly but im too lazy to delete it

i mostly block people but uh.

to keep things brief, one time someone was... Weirdly Angry about art that i made of dragons on flight rising (the ice element dragon makes hot food, and the fire element makes cold food. you know, a cute little gimmick for ocs)

and when i talked to them about it, thwy came to an understanding that it was a very uncalled-for comment. thus making me have the most BIZARRE interaction ive ever had to date

genuinely this haunts me every day. theres MUCH more to the conversation but they legitimately sounded like an anime antagonist

i simply do not reblog them <3

a really long time ago i did. fun fact there was a period of time i had a VERY slight crush on like 3 different mutuals, all at different times ofc (none of them even use this site anymore) and like within 2 weeks of me being like ‘woah theyre cute’ they got into a relationship. 3 separate times

its just my power i guess nhjfkdnhjdfk
