i am officially, FINALLY all caught up again in both the manga and the anime for bsd and OH BOY there are thoughts and opinions but also WHO CARES because my tags are finally FREE to be unfiltered

#hnnnnnn #i am SO happy #i am BEYOND happy #i love the arc even if i complain about it a lot #but i am also hnnnnnn…….displeased……..with a few things #the anime fr about to catch these hands #i already KNEW they were rushing it from the few episodes i had watched #but the anime is usually SO good at pacing #that i fully trusted that certain things would be slowed down for significance/impact/etc #but instead the pacing just stayed WAY too fast for me #and they ended up cutting SO many small moments that had SO much importance like im going crazy about some of them #some of the lines they cut…….#or even adjusted slightly that it drew away the impact #ugh i KNOW there was a LOT to balance and a LOT of content to get through #but i am a little disappointed that so many emotional scenes were what ended up suffering for it #this is why i don’t usually like reading the manga for animes i watch #i always end up getting disappointed by the limitations of adaptations #that being said though regardless of general limitations i don’t think some of the rushing is above criticism #and i am going to go and eat glass while seething over the particularly offensive rushing/cuts😤#OKAY DONE that’s the last i’ll say about it i would just go crazy if i didn’t vocalize it somewhere #in general i was VERY happy with the arc in both the manga and the anime i have SO much love for it #definitely a favorite for me #and THAT concludes my very vague no spoiler review #i swear one of these days my self control is going to snap #and im just going to start posting my full essays and content analysis shit about everything i watch here #but for now we’re safe and all my rants will stay spoiler free tag paragraphs instead godbless🙏

there's so much manga i have to read it's unreal 😭

#for physicals i have 13 volumes of yona of the dawn. all of the rose of versailles. the first volume of the illustrated guide to monster #girls. and i need to reread tbhk or at least the first volume bc i told one of my kids at work that i'd let him read it while he's at the #program and i need to brush up on it bc it's been over a year.#and then for manga i don't have physicals of. i desperately need to reread and then catch up on kuro. considering everything the fact that #don't own the full series is a miracle probably prompted by how much my parents hated it up until the last few months when they suddenly #chilled tf out. i should get caught up on yuri is my job and finish killer in love. also i've sat down to read cocoon intertwined like 24 #times and gotten distracted and didn't every single one. i've been meaning to reread ohshc and pick up kamisama kiss. fruits basket.#vampire knight. nana. the apothecary diaries and chainsaw man. and i should give goodnight punpun a proper read too #then there's all of clamp's works in release order bc i have two volumes of tsubasa but haven't touched them bc i need to go in #release order or i'll die. and now that i think about it i'm really behind on oshi no ko #+ i have a full google doc of manga i need to get too and this is just what i can think of off the top of my head so god knows #what else is in there #romeo.txt

B: What was the first fandom you read fic in? Which was the first you wrote fic for?

The first fandom that I read fics in and wrote fics for were both in the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom. (That is, if you discount the LotR-adjacent superhero AU I wrote in elementary school. It wasn't really an LotR fic, it just included Gandalf.)

D: What’s the most personal fanfic you’ve written?

Probably Yukio Turn on the Light which is a fanfiction for the anime/manga Ao No Exorcist/Blue Exorcist. I lost my mom to suicide 11 years ago and this fic is a story about the character Yukio who struggled with depression and suicidal tendencies and in my story, his dad's ghost is communicating with him from beyond the grave and trying to convince him that his life is worth living and that he needs to lean into his friends and his brother and to ask for help. The story isn't finished because my special interest in Blue Exorcist petered out and nowadays I avoid reading/writing about topics this heavy but do know, that in the end, Yukio's dad succeeds and Yukio agrees to talk to his brother about what's going on.

U: Is there a pairing you would like to write, but haven’t tried yet?

Wind and Four! I love the idea of having the littlest guy and the youngest guy going on adventures together and getting into trouble. I have a short scene I wrote about them that I'd like to someday turn into a full fic about Wind saving an injured Four.

Manga haul!! I did end up going on my usual bookstore trip!!

#prince's talk tag #bloom into you continues to elude me. i need 6-8 and they only had 8 #i am excited to catch up with sasaki bc i really wanna read the spinoff but i held off until i was caught up #after catching up with witch hat i wanted to continue it asap so i was able to find the next two i needed #idk was she and her cat is but it looks cute #last gender i was reading it online but they didnt have all the chapters even tho the 3rd vol said it was the last one #and i wanna see how it ends #you know i sold a few books at a second hand shop and they gave like pocket change for all of them #im a little annoyed but whatever at least theyre out of my hands #they didnt take one of them bc i think it was too trashy of a manga for them to sell like its just sex really #but i took care of it. i kinda figured they wouldn't but their website didnt specify if theyd take very mature books so i tried it out #and now i know #thats the current vol of classmates out rn after that ill be caught up #i saw the pet agency one on amazon amd didn't know what it was but it was at the bnn with the big selection so why not #something interesting about that bnn so it has 4 floors and the manga is on the 4th floor so i gotta take the escalators up #and on the second floor was a lego statue of h*rry p*tter holding the trans and genderfluid flags #the area this bnn is in is lgbtq+ friendly. having multiple tables and sections in the store dedicated to lgbtq+ books #and even decorating the tables and bannisters with pride flags #im wondering if the made him hold those flags as a fuck you to the author #bc its not like the store wanted to put it up. it was most likely an order from home office #who knows? i dont work there

So Act 12 of A3 has been done for a long while now huh. I’ve been using yaycupcake for my translations and the site hasnt been updated with Act 12. Now looking at the more recent events, a lot havent been translated either… hopefully I can still read everything even if I have to hunt for event translations…
